Another one of our fur baby clients has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Yesterday, we had to say goodbye to Sophie. She passed away in her sleep. She was such a sweet girl. At 17 years of age, she couldn’t hear, but she still enjoyed her life. I would wake her and she would happily jump up and strut out the back door, her tiny feet ticking on the wood floor. She wasn’t much taller than the grass. She loved laying on her blanket on her special corner of the sofa. She would nibble on tiny treats and patiently pose for pictures for me. She had a happy life spoiled by her moms. Her big sister, Mezze, a husky, will likely wonder where Sophie went. We will miss her.

So far, only 3 hummingbirds in our backyard. They sometimes fight like tiny dragons over the feeder.

These boys know how to purr.

Sidney likes to play rough sometimes. I have to be on guard so he doesn’t draw blood.

Sophie is a darling.

Sophie is a sweet ole girl. She just wants to be loved. She shares her home with Mezze, the husky.

Mezze is such a sweet ball of fluff.

Tsige Alemu (Chandler) and Jonathan Chandler like Mezze too. She’s such a friendly sweet pup.

Fluffy Mezze is a joy to sit for.

Mezze is a gorgeous husky, soft, sweet and playful. Jonathan Chandler and Tsige Alemu (Chandler) came over to meet her while I was pet sitting.

Buttercup has great grooming skills.

Sweet Buttercup likes to groom me. She and her sister, Ash, are our local TrustedHousesitters kitties in Madison.

I love pet sitting. I find it very rewarding and therapeutic. I take care of pets and their houses for my clients who are out of town on business or vacation. I pet sit at the homes of my clients so the pets can relax. Many pet parents realize that their fur babies are much less stressed when they get to stay in their own homes and sleep in their own beds. Many pets come home from kennel boarding suffering with health issues. A reliable, devoted and loving pet sitter is an amazing solution for your pet's care. Everyone can enjoy their vacations or business travel when the fur babies are happy and safe at home. I also enjoy volunteering with a local animal rescue in north Alabama called Friends of Rescue. This is also a family affair. My husband, son and my sister also enjoy pet sitting. They help me whenever they can. We all love and respect animals of all kinds. This world would be a sad place without animals.
