A client (in CO) moved into a new home. Unfortunately, their dog was having a hard time with on of the main rooms. It was so scared. We aren’t sure why the room was scary but we offered our help and training! Within a few days of training, we received this! It makes us so Happy-E that this dog is no longer scared.
We don’t always have to be in your home for training. Sometimes it’s a matter of videos of the behavior and a video chat, depending on the behavior. Obviously we want to love on your pup if at all possible! However, sometimes we can work with you from a distance. We meet your dog where it’s at in its stage in life. Training is not cookie cutter one size fits all. We’re happy to have a conversation with you any time about our services!

The weather app shows rain all week! It started yesterday and hasn’t stopped. And not just rain but, LOTS OF rain. So much flooding in our area! Everyone stay safe! We may be cleaning up p**p all week.

With this Arctic blast affecting most of the US this week most of your pets will be stuck inside. What enrichment, or training, do you have planned for them to keep their brains busy this week? We’ve got kongs, peanut butter smeared inside TP and paper towel cardboard inserts, snuggle mats, puzzle feeders, etc ready for our guests and our own dogs!

Handsome boy looking for his fur-ever!

Adopt Mr. Bartholomew “Barty BART BART”!

At 8 years old and 8 # - this guy is the perfect little mini poodle you ever did see. Bart is dog friendly, and has a typical little poodle demeanor (if you know you know). Bossy little thing with many opinions… but loyal to his little core.

This little dudes mouth was ROTTEN beyond our wildest imagination, but we were able to save a few of those teeth! He has received full vetting, neuter, and is heartworm negative.

Bart was dumped at a rescuers house and she reached out to Andi Leone for assistance. She was able to bring him our way today - so we said a Big “Yes”.

Bart is ready for his forever home now!

We love it when we are full of “frequent flyers” and they feel like we’re their home away from home! All of the dogs this weekend, and our dogs, all get along and play with one another other. Today is soooo nice and everyone wants to hang out on the back porch with us! Such a good day at the ranch!

We’ve been working with this crew to relax around the pool. They come out and just go crazy for toys along with barking and jumping. Mom and dad have been doing their homework and creating a relaxed behavior and reinforcing. So proud of them! These are totally different dogs than we started with! Great job and Happ-E Dogs! All operant conditioning, no shock collars!

It’s going down! Rather, it’s being laid down! New floors going in the dog area! Falcon Flooring has done kennel floors for boarding facilities and are family owned and operated out of Willis, TX. We were so happy they could make this happen with the dogs in mind! Have pets? You should have them do your floors!

It was a beautiful day at the ranch! New puppy, Wesley, came for Day Play! He’s learning the ropes from our well behaved dogs! We don’t recommend taking puppies from their mom until 12 weeks because of all she teaches them from 6-12 weeks that make them better adjusted dogs. Unfortunately, that’s not always possible. That’s why we offer Day Play! This is different than Day Care! Day Care is a bunch of random dogs put together. Day Play is a time to, strategically, get your puppy around good dogs to learn proper manners that they missed from being with their mom. For many reasons not fully vaccinated puppies shouldn’t be out in the big world. Here we provide a safe place for socializing and desensitization to help puppies grow into confident and polite dogs. We are coupling this with in home training for mom and Wesley to be able to communicate clearer to each other for the human aspect of things. Socialization only happens up to 16 weeks. It’s imperative that puppies get this play in to learn bite inhibition and other skills to be an amazing adult dog. Have a puppy needing Day Play? Let’s schedule a day for them to come learn! Winning! Zeva is here for a 2 week board and train. When dad dropped her off she nearly ripped my arm off trying to go ANYWHERE! She didn’t know where. She just needed to go. Mom and Dad’s #1 complaint was walking/running on leash. Mom and dad are both athletes and run 4-6 miles a day. It was a danger to take her running because she had no leash skills and they would get tangled up. For the first 3 days she was here, she walked the perimeter of the house every 5 minutes, like clockwork, going in and out of rooms. She didn’t have a relax or an off. She “worked”. That’s what this breed was meant to do. So, we started with mat work. I needed her to give me a relaxed hip and teach her that it’s ok not to “work” so I could just build a relationship with her and transition her focus to me. Then she started “working” for me and GETTING PAID with rewards (treats, praise, scratches, playing ball) for everything she did well! Once she knew what I wanted she started offering the behavior! From there we worked on not “losing her ever lovin’ mind” when she saw the leash. She “wanted that runner’s high”. We used the relax and as a reward we put the leash on. We did NOT go for a walk. Then we started desensitizing her to the Gentle Leader. As you can see, she’s still not keen on it but, she’s soooo much better! There are so many other little things we did but, that would be boring. Mom just had major surgery so it’s important that she be able to walk her when she goes home. Tomorrow is her last day with us and we’ll take her home and spend time with mom, dad, and the 8 year old. We’ll give them the skills they need to move forward. Mom and Dad know we’re not done here. To set her up for success, the need to complete their homework assignments so she can come back for the next level to walk and run with the leash and collar.
