Lifeline Pet Rescue of North Alabama We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming for all animals in need.

Lifeline Pet Rescue is a group of volunteers who have years of experience. We believe it is our privilege to be able to help the animals that we respect and admire, as well as those people who are drawn to adopting them for the same reasons. We take the privilege of animal Rescue seriously and strive to responsibly place good, stable animals in quality, permanent, responsible an

d loving homes. We are also active in breed education, encourage responsible pet ownership and promote the spaying and neutering of pets. Organizational Pledge:

Meet Zebra Cake, our sweet baby girl.

Zebra cake was surrender to us as a itty bitty kitten. She was the last of her litter to go, but unfortunately had to be returned at no fault of her own. Zebra Cake is the worlds sweetest cat. She loves to be loved, she loves other cats, and she adjusts to new situations quickly and without issues. As much as we love our tricolor girl, she needs a permanent home of her own. She is under a year old, full grown, and as sweet as zebra cakes!

🎾🐶Dog of the Week🐶🎾

Meet Maxwell, our sweet lover boy. Maxwell has been with us over a year, and desperately needs out of the shelter. The shelter environment has really taken a toll on our sweet boy. Maxwell is an adult lab mix, and consider a medium sized dog. Maxwells one super power: he’s vision impaired. He’s not completely blind, we’ve noticed he can see shadows. But for the most part he relies on his hearing and the shadows to get around. He doesn’t let his super power get him down though, as he’s an extremely friendly and loving dog. Maxwell loves to play with other dogs and loves to be loved on by humans. Often time he relies on his packmates to get him around. He bonds with people and dogs easily. He doesn’t seem to have an issue with cats and LOVES children. He can be rough with kiddos, but that’s because he’s so happy to have a companion. Maxwell is a great dog and deserves a great owner and great family. He’s the perfect family dog, not too big in size, and a big lover boy.

Come meet Maxwell from 12-3 this week, 11-4 Saturday, and 12-3 on Sunday. Can’t adopt but want to give this sweet boy a break? Consider fostering him, even a weekend getaway can give him some relief.

She’s our beautiful grey princess. Minnie is one of our new residents here and she’s the sweetest. Shes a solo cat type of cat as she prefer all the attention on her. She loves people so much and she’s very curious. She loves to explore. She’s a young adult, spayed, and the perfect companion for someone looking for a solo affectionate cat.

We took our favorite little Rottie on an outing at Dog Splash yesterday. This girl LOVES water and pools. She had a blast swimming for the first time in a big girl pool yesterday. She got to spend a little one on one time with the staff, meet new people, swim, and see other dogs. All in all she had a great time.

Gina is STILL available for adoption! We’d love for you to meet this sweet girl. We recommend a home with no other animals or with an experienced handler. She is the best dogs 🥹

🐕🐾Dog of the Week 🐾🐕

Meet Claudia, our favorite snuggle buddy. Sweet Claudia can’t handle the shelter, so someone was kind enough to foster her while she’s on the search for a new home. Claudia has been one that was adopted off and then returned to us, so she desperately wants a forever home for the new year.

Claudia is about two years old now. She loves other dogs, and she loves to play. She can come off a bit shy when you initially meet her, but really blossoms when she gets to know you. She’s the perfect companion for someone looking for a small dog!

Set up an appointment to meet this sweet dog today! We’re open Monday through Friday 12-3, Saturday 11-4 and Sunday 12-3.

Smokie butts a wiggling today! He’s so happy he has his ball 😍 Smokie is a returned dog and has been here a few weeks. He’s super sweet and LOVES balls. He’s the only dog type of dog as he doesn’t do well with other dogs. Look at the sweet senior man, how can you say no to him!

Those WHISKERS are stunning! This is Monster, not sure why his original owner gave him that name. There is NOTHING monster like about him! He LOOKS more like a Juno to me. He is a handsome TUXIE who is extremely cuddly and sweet. Monster loves his cubby-holes, napping, bird watching, and CANOODLING with his human friends. Monster is easily bullied by dominant cats SO he would do best with a calm and kind cat friend. He would also do well as an only CAT. You GOTTA meet Monster and see the WHISKERS in person!

We rescued these two together and they’ve been besties ever since! Everyone meet Skipper (white) and Monty (brownish/orange). Both are available for adoption and both will be at the Dog Bar tomorrow! Come out and meet them!

🧶🐈‍⬛Cat of the Week🐈‍⬛🧶 You haven’t met a sweeter cat than Mr. Purrkins. Mr. Purrkins has been here for about a year and desperately needs out of the shelter. He is super sweet, very cuddly, loves to nap, and is the perfect companion for a single or multi cat household. Mr. Perkins can be shy sometimes, but once he warms up and get used to everything, he is the best cat to have around. If you’re looking to adopt a mature cat or would even like to foster Mr. Purrkins, anything would be appreciated. Come meet him Monday through Friday 12 to 3 or Sunday 12 to 3. We want Mr. Purrkins to hang out under your Christmas tree on Wednesday.

OK, Mr. Purrkins is not the most photogenic MAN. He may have a PERMANENT sullen expression but he is so sweet AND loving. This big guy loves pets, treats, people, and a COMFY man cave. Mr. Purrkins is a PASSIVE guy so a home where he will not be bullied is a must. He has several cat FRIENDS at the center if you are considering adopting TWO. Mr. Purrkins WILL be fine as an only cat too. If you are patient, kind, nurturing, a huge CAT lover, and have a man cave…..Mr. Purrkins is the DUDE for you!

🩵💜 Dog of the Week💜🩵 Everyone meet one of our new residents, Rex. Rex is a massive sweetheart, as he’s currently laying at my feet as I write this post. Rex is considered a medium dog only topping out at under 40 pounds. Rex is a heeler mixed with a Pitbull. He LOVES being loved on. Rex’s need to go to a home with no small children. He seems to do better around older calmer dogs, but isn’t a fan of hyper puppy like dogs. Rex loves to cuddle, explore and run. He can be a lazy dog when the time calls for it, but enjoys exploring and running around. As a heeler, he thrives on working. Continuing his obedience training is a must for him. A fellow trainer has offered a free training session, or free advice for anyone who decides to adopt him. Rex is an awesome guest, but he needs a home of his own. Could you afford to foster or adopt him? Could you give him his Christmas miracle? Come see him 12-3 Monday through Friday and Sunday 12-3. Our Gingerbread party is Saturday from 1-4 at the Rocket City Dog Bar, come out and meet him then.

He’s a bit shy when you meet him, but once he warms up to you and choose you, it’s like winning the lottery. 🤩 cheddar should have a home where he’s the center of attention, or with a buddy if your gone a lot.
