Happy Thanksgiving!
We want to remind you that we will be closed on Thursday, November 28th, and Friday, November 29th, to celebrate the holiday.

I’d like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for my beautiful family—my amazing husband, my two wonderful daughters, and my boys (aka my beloved dogs).

Important Policy Update for 2025

Starting in 2025, we will no longer be brushing out matted coats on pups that come into our care. Brushing matted coats is not only painful and stressful for your furry friends, but it also damages their hair. The brushed-out hair is often already dead and broken, which compromises the overall health of the coat.

To prevent matting and ensure your pup’s coat remains healthy and comfortable, we recommend the following:

● Brush your dog’s coat daily using the appropriate tools for their coat type.

● Keep your pup’s hair at a manageable length.

● Maintain a grooming schedule every 3 to 6 weeks, depending on your dog's coat type and length.

Our goal is to prioritize the health and well-being of your beloved pets, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions or need guidance on coat maintenance, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Meet Bruce (the blue) and Malcolm (the brindle)! These adorable 5-month-old bully mixes are both neutered, fully vetted, and ready for their forever homes.

Their adoption fee is $300 through Friends of Rescue (FOR). If you're interested in giving them a loving home, you can apply for adoption on the Friends of Rescue website.

My name is Kaylee! I’ve been working with animals for almost two years now. Taking care of dogs has always been a big passion of mine, and I’m eager to create a career with dogs. At home, I have three adorable dachshunds named Luna, Sammy, and Lily. When I’m not having fun with my dogs, I enjoy building tiny houses, drawing, painting, and gaming with my friends. My absolute favorite thing to do is cuddle with all three of my little fur babies!

I’d like to address a few important points. At Zen Dog Grooming, our goal is never to mistreat or neglect any dog in our care. We don't shave dogs "just because," and we certainly don’t ignore our clients. Our focus is always on the well-being of the dogs we groom, and any decisions we make—such as shaving—are done with their best interest in mind, and we always notify the owner beforehand.

As a small, family-owned business, we take great pride in providing personalized care to every client. Unlike large corporations, we can't afford to overlook quality, and we always do our utmost to correct any mistakes when they happen. We're deeply committed to ensuring the happiness and satisfaction of both our human and animal clients.

It’s disheartening when misinformation is shared, as it can impact the hard work and care we put into our business. We genuinely love what we do and strive to provide the best possible service for everyone who walks through our doors.

A few weeks ago, we had to say a temporary goodbye to Lydia, who has been a part of our lives for the past two years. She’s now off to college, embarking on new and exciting adventures, and we couldn’t be prouder of her! We’re thrilled for all the amazing things she’ll achieve on this journey.

But don't worry—she’ll be back with us during her holiday breaks!

We just wanted to take a moment to formally congratulate Lydia on all she’s accomplished so far. Keep shining, Lydia! 😊

Hello Zen Family!

Michael, Matilda, Freyja, Token, Drogon, and I want to express our deepest gratitude for being a part of Zen Dog Grooming.

We truly appreciate each of you for supporting us as a small, local, women-owned business. Balancing business ownership and family life is no easy task, as these last 11 weeks with Freyja have shown me. But thanks to our amazing team—Diem, Ashlyn, Lydia, Kimmie, and Kaylee—being home with Freyja has been much easier.

I wanted to take a moment to reach out to everyone since I haven’t been in touch lately and let you know that I’ll be returning to work at the end of October. By then, Freyja will be a little older and better able to join me at the salon.

Thank you all for your continued support and for allowing me this precious time with her. I’m incredibly grateful to have such a wonderful team and fantastic clients. ❤️
