We provide wellness services for your pets. We are not able to treat critical emergency traumas that require hospitalization. Please call ahead if you have an emergency as we may need to refer you and your pet to a full-service hospital nearby. We want to do what is best for you and your pet and there are times that a full-service hospital is required. Trusty Vet is focused on the medical care of your pets.

Good Morning!

In recent months, our parking lot has become increasingly congested, making it quite challenging to find available parking spots at times. We have observed that certain parts of the day are busier than others. Specifically, the hours between 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM, as well as from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, tend to be the most crowded. We recommend that all clients with appointments for their beloved pets arrive approximately 10 minutes earlier than scheduled. Our goal is to minimize stress when searching for a parking spot and to alleviate concerns about being late for your appointment. We are actively working on a solution to address this issue, but please understand that it may take some time. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call us at 256-489-8387. Trusty Vet Annual Fall Ball is almost here!!! Low Cost Feline Neuter will take place November 11th. Limited spaces available, first come, first served-must call to schedule appointment.
* Neuter for Felines up to date on vaccines @ $75
*Neuter for Felines with Rabies Vaccine(1 year) @ $101
*Neuter for Felines with Rabies Vaccine (3 year- must have documentation for previous rabies vaccine having been administered) @ $192
All neuter patients will receive an anti-inflammatory pain injection that lasts for 24 hours prior to dismissal.
While we aren't able to offer discounted pricing for all services, we still highly recommend and offer services such as preanesthetic lab work ($133.00), continued pain medication ($54.43), Elizabethan collar ("cone of shame") between ( $14-$16), and microchipping($96.05).
If you provide your own microchip, we can install it for $5.
Requirements:
*Must be current on Rabies vaccine with proper documentation: or we will be required to vaccinate them during their procedure
*Must be an established client and patient with a current Veterinarian/Client/Patient Relationship or examination needed for $25 on day of procedure for non-clients.

Laser treatment (Class 4) is a useful treatment modality for a variety of painful and inflammatory conditions.

Shown here is the progression of the healing of a hot spot on a Golden Retriever named Oliver.

The first photo shows the hot spot after the hair had been shaved from around it and it was cleaned while Oliver was sedated. (They are very painful.)

The second photo was 48 hours after a single laser treatment, showing the drastic reduction in his inflammation.

The third image is the hot spot fully healed with hair regrowing nicely three weeks after his initial presentation.

Laser therapy can also be used for cases of gastritis and colitis (vomiting and diarrhea), cystitis (urinary tract inflammation), musculoskeletal problems, ear infections, a**l gland saculitis, and improved and more rapid healing when used post-surgically on incisions and oral surgery.
