We are pleased to offer two raffle baskets this Christmas. One dog themed, one cat themed. Both are Christmas themed.
Tickets are 1$ each or 6 tickets for 5$

Rita B Huff Humane Society is open today!!! Monday, December 9th. Noon until 5 pm.
Pictured below is sweet, little Reba. 26 pound heeler mix. She was a show up, showed up at someone’s house and blessed her with a litter of pups. Just a puppy herself- giving birth to a litter of unwanted pups. We’ve taken care of that. Reba is now spayed. Vaccinated and microchipped. Approximately 1.5 years old. She’s a little shy at first. But warms up to kindness.

Open to everyone!! No hidden fee’s. We’ve paid the vet’s fee. Prices are what is shown.
Please have your dog on a leash and cats MUST be in carriers!!
Pull into our parking lot and paperwork will be brought out to you. A number will be placed on your vehicle, and you will be brought in accordingly.

We have some Christmas pups!!!
Not the best pictures but we wanted to get them seen!!
The biggest pup, Thurston, male, tan in color. 10 pounds.
Professor is the black and tan pup with him. 5 pounds. Male.
The three together, Ginger the smallest-3 pounds, Maryann-blond pup.
Skipper is the other male with the two females. Tan with light tan on his face.
All are 10 pounds and under. All have been vaccinated, bathed, and are being dewormed. They should be available for adoption on Monday if all goes well.

All three are litter mates and hoping for their Christmas home!! Wishing on that special someone to make their dreams come true!!
All three have been neutered and spayed. Vaccinated, microchipped, and on preventions. Between 5&6 months old.
Birdie is the lightest weighing in at 27 pounds. Body the first pictured pup at 32 pounds, and Basil at 30 pounds.

Have you ever seen a dog lose their light in their eyes? Their lust for life??
We have.
Defeated Sansa.
Sansa came to us as a stray. July 2024. We spayed her, vaccinated her, microchipped her. Cared for her and loved her.
She was adopted September 9, 2024.
She was returned today. In this shape. 23 pounds lighter, skin a mess, loss of hair, infected ears. 3 months was what it took for Sansa to get in this deplorable condition. It makes us sick. And mad as hell. All has been documented in hopes of prosecution.
If you see a dog deteriorating in someone’s yard, house, fence, pen, PLEASE! Give law enforcement a call. You could be their last hope.
We got you Sansa!! Nothing but brighter days for you now.

Good morning!!!
This is going to sound like an odd request but let us explain…….
RBH has been helping a local veteran with dog food. We have a dog food pantry and help everyone we can who is struggling with feeding their pets.
We found out yesterday he’s been without transportation for about a month now. He would love to have a bicycle if anyone has one they are not using.
Please, it must be operable and adult size.
Drop it by RBH. We’ll update this post if/when we get one.

Elsa!!! October is Pit bull awareness month!! Elsa came to us last year around this time. Injured. With a horrible face wound. It took months to heal. And even though she did not know us, she let us help her and get her all fixed up. Elsa loves people. Loves them!!! But she needs a home with no cats, no small pets. And a male dog her size. 50 ish pounds. Elsa is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative. 2-3 years old. Her adoption fee is 45$. Please share Elsa!! Puppies at play!!! The 3 pups in the pen and the one being held are LadyBugs pups. Not to be confused with the pup at the end of the video. Her name is Lady. She is not related to the smaller pups but she sure liked them!! All the puppies had a great time meeting new people and getting to play! Hopper (m), Firefly (f), Cricket (f), BumbleBee (f). Approximately 10 weeks old. We do have a meet and greet for this week for one pup. It was a great event! Thank you Tractor Supply of Huntsville for having us out!! Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who always help us make these events happen! We will be back at Tractor Supply in two weeks for our next adoption event. August 24.
