oed Heart Animal Sanctuary’s love for animals also provides a safe haven for many senior dogs and cats who face euthanasia due to age, special needs, serious medical conditions, and bad habits which make them unadoptable. We also foster for reputable rescues for animals who have a chance of finding their forever family. Although Tattooed Heart Animal Sanctuary was started as a Parrot Sanctuary, our love of animals has our family offering a home to many types of animals. We opened our ranch to animals misplaced by some of Texas’s Natural Disasters which include tortoises, donkeys, goats, pigs and even a variety of poultry. Tattooed Heart Animal Sanctuary’s main priority is the wellbeing and safety of each animal entrusted to our care, and we would like to give a special thanks to all the fabulous veterinarians we work with to ensure the wellbeing of these animals.
This guy found himself in jail as well, will be on on hold for 17 days, and then will be up for adoption next if you know anyone who maybe interested! He does seems friendly, just scared. Will be cleaned up.

Update: It must be a nonprofit to rescue this guy. He will be available to pick up after the 8th. YOU must be able to transport.
We will not be accepting any more livestock here, as we do not have enough help with these animals, either physically or financially. We had too much damage to our fences and barns to take on any more animals at this time.
We were just hoping to get a family lined up to adopt this sweet fella.
Well had to go ahead and get her check out so we could start her on Heartworm and Flea prevention. We found a tick so wanted to make sure she was all good.

Nonprofit Helping parrots in need of rescue due to unfortunate circumstance's.
Well, it has been well over 48 hours since Sarah B.'s family has been contacted, and no one has called back. (Several messages were left.) So we have to assume she was abandoned at this point. Now to get her a health exam, vaccinations, and a spay appointment. We would really like to find a dog rescue that is able to find her a loving home, but we have had no luck so far. So, Sarah B may just become a Sanctuary resident.
(Sarah B. Showed up after Beryl so has been hanging around for awhile we took her last week for a exam and found out she was microchipped so we gave her family a week to get back to us. They were called several times and messages were left.)

Well, she is microchipped and registered. But apparently, no one is looking for her! The vet did call and leave a couple of messages we just haven’t heard back from anyone.
The only thing the vet was able to tell me was the dog's name, which is “Sarah B.”

These non stick liners were responsible for the deaths of several family birds. Within minutes the birds fell off their perches one by one and died. Please pass it along, NO NONSTICK PRODUCTS!

Not something I want to be doing when all of our kennels were destroyed after the last storm. We still haven’t had a chance to tear down, rebuild and replace the ones for the dogs here. But this girl has been frantically looking for her family since Beryl made her way through Huntsville. So, now I am going to have to run buy a couple of kennels, a doghouse, bed and all that comes with a new intake. (Remember we do not have help with dogs) We are headed to the vet to get a check up vaccinations and please pray with me this girl is not pregnant or have heartworms. So, I can schedule her a spay which will be challenging for me right now. If you know anyone that would be possibly interested in adopting a sweet girl or a dog rescue that could possibly help find her a new home please let me know. Although we have closed our intake due to property damage from all this nasty Texas weather. We just so happen to have a set up for this little one so we were able to help this time easily. The cost of the damages this time may cause us to close intake permanently. 😢 (All Sanctuary residents are safe and dry. We will have to rebuild fencing, housing, pens, dog runs & coops. Trees have fallen and trees need to come down, we need quite a bit of ground work done lots of unsafe washouts all around. This is just the stuff not covered by insurance so it will cost quite a bit just to get our residents fixed up so we are better prepared if this ever happens again.
