We have a new little farm hand on the farm. Before long baby Lane will be rolling in the mud with the hogs and playing with the chickens. Shout out to Ashlyn at Danae’s photography for doing such a great job on Lanes newborn pictures.

Wait, you have not been to COPA yet? I think it’s time to go! Support your local farmer while supporting a local restaurant.

Family meal for 1, 2, or 4. Pictured here is our famous slow-roasted pork from Parker Family Farms pasture-raised pigs. Served with traditional arroz congris and seasonal salad from local farms (with a little avocado for some tropical flair).

With widespread concern about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to let you know that we're taking extra measures to help keep you safe.

1) In addition to already following the everyday strict regulations from Durham County Health Department, we've implemented extra measures recommended by the CDC and the World Health Organization.
2) We have verified that the sanitizer and cleaning solution we use kills both flu viruses and Coronavirus.
3) We are also taking extra steps to sanitize tables, surfaces, handles, faucets, and even our pens to minimize the potential for germs to spread.
4) As professionals, we have always practiced good hand-washing, but now we are washing our hands with an extra dose of enthusiasm and vigor.
5) We're also taking our temperatures before going to work each day and keeping a personal log; anybody with a fever is required to stay home, per health department regulations.

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP:
1) If you are feeling well, please know that your continued support during this time is of vital importance to us and the livelihoods of our team members. We are grateful for you and the opportunity to serve you.
2) If you are are feeling unwell or are in close contact with someone who is unwell, please cancel your reservation and know that we will be delighted to serve you at a later date.

We want to wish the back bone of the farm (Randall, Big Dog,or Dad) a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY! He is not a fan of attention but if you happened to see him around tell him happy birthday.

I have watched Dad work for this farm my whole life and never once has he complained and said that all the hard and back breaking work is not worth it. He has a true love for the land that he has passed down to his kids. Through the tough times he never shows much worry he just keeps on keeping on. Farming can be very hard at times but you’d never know it looking at it through Dads eyes. I have been trying to figure out what has kept him so strong farming all these years....maybe it’s the long “cat naps” or maybe it’s all Mommas good cooking. I’m sure them two help but I think the thing that is number one key in his life is his faith in the Lord. He is just a simple man living a simple life the best way he knows how. May God give him many more happy and simple years.
-Tiffany

P.S. this is him on the tractor. All the close up pictures of him I have are him making crazy faces. Plus he is the happiest working land.
