Starting tomorrow (Monday, December 16th) we are running a photo-op fundraiser for Paisley Paws!

For a $5 donation to Paisley Paws, you can use our photo scene to take some fun holiday pictures. There are toys, treats, and festive accessories for your pets to enjoy while getting their photos taken!

No appointment is needed to use the photo-op room. If you have an appointment scheduled, we ask that you wait to take photos until after your appointment is finished.

For those of you that don't know, Paisley Paws is an organization that helps fund those in need of emergency veterinary services that cannot otherwise afford them. Every dollar that you donate to our clinic's fund is matched 20% by Paisley Paws. Any amount donated to HVH's fund stays in our community and is only accessible to clients of HVH.

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, our hospital will be closed on Thursday November 28th. We’ll resume normal hours on the 29th. Please make sure to pick up any medications or food ahead of time, and remember to keep your pets safe during the holiday!

Did you know? November is Pet Diabetes Awareness Month! Here are some important facts to keep your furry friends healthy:

🔹 Diabetes in pets is more common than you think, affecting 1 in every 300 dogs and 1 in every 230 cats.
🔹 Symptoms to watch for: increased thirst, frequent urination, weight loss despite a good appetite, and lethargy.
🔹 Early detection is key! With proper management, including insulin therapy, a healthy diet, and regular vet visits, diabetic pets can lead happy lives.
🔹 Pets are more likely to develop diabetes if they’re overweight, older, or have a genetic predisposition.
