End of the year highlights for Chelsey and Kenzie!

Chelsey- there are not enough words to describe what a year and impact Chelsey has had. Her work within is unmatched, her drive is motivating and her mindset is everything. Chelsey is always up for whatever plan or idea we have, willing to try anything and eveything (she even learned how to jump this past year!). No matter what hoop Chelsey had to jump through or bridge she had to climb over, she went at all of it head first, and came out on top every single time.

Kenzie- Kenzie is one of Chelsey OG riding students that has tagged a king a few times through out the year. Chelsey and Kenzie were sharing Chelsey’s personal horse, and kezie did a phenomenal job with everything she was handed and told to do! Moving into 2025, Kenzie purchased her first horse, and I’m so excited to go on this journey with her as she starts to figure things out!

2025 is going to be great yeat for these two, it’s starting out very strong for them and the ball hasn’t even dropped yet!!

End of the year highlights for Emmersyn & Sage!

Emmersyn- outside of here or there help at jackpots, we just recently started working with Emmersyn and are amazed by her talent and ability! She’s hard working and dedicated, always take the time she needs to learn and gives 100% every single ride! Fun fact: Emmersyn is riding a horse Connor trained and sold many years ago as a 3yo! It makes him happy to see how well the two of them do together!

Sage- Sage always had me stunned in a good way! Her lessons have been hit or miss do to personal
Health reasons.. but let me tell you, it doesn’t matter how much time this girl takes off, she ALWAYS comes back better than the last time I saw her. So much so I ask her every time if she’s sure she hasn’t been riding! She’s always so bright and cheerful and honestly so many of us could learn so much from her.

The future for both of these girls is so bright, and 2025 is going to be the year we see it come together!

End of the year highlight, Colton! Colton surprise me every single ride. He’s is such a fun person to work with, he has so much determination and focus. He’s always up for a challenge, tries is hardest and just keeps coming out better and stronger with every ride. Colton has had a tough go with horses, but has never taken for granted the horses he’s been privileged to ride. His presence in the barn always brings joy and laughter. He truly takes everything in stride.

Colton asked me one day “when do I get to work the barrels” and I responded with “once you learn to ride off the barrels, because if you can’t do it away from them, you’ll struggle when you go to the barrels”… he said “okay”, and went with the plan. I am so proud of this young man, he has all the makings to do big things in this industry, the right mindset, the right work ethic and most importantly the kindness and gentleness towards his partners. I can’t wait to see what all he does in 2025.

A giant thank you to Hermes-Parker Concrete for their help with our stall barn! We had 8 stalls completely ripped up, re-leveled and all new mats laid! They were in and out in two days. The stall floors look beautiful and our horses are enjoying their fresh floors! We cannot thank them enough for tackling such a large and grueling project. Make sure to give them a call for all your barn upgrades, they are the best!

A giant thank you to my dad (Brian Koch), and Chelsey Lee, who were there to help move horses around with the wet conditions, so these guys could get in and out!

End of the year highlight, Hayleigh! We’ve had the pleasure of working with her since mid September! We’re so proud of how far she’s come and how hard she works to learn all things barrle racing. Excited to watch her keep progressing daily and can’t wait to see her out on the road in early 2025!

End of the year highlight for Olivia! She’s been working hard over the past year to get with her 4 year old, Bullys American Girl. As always, getting with a new horse is difficult, but getting with a new one that’s just learning the ropes and getting seasoned is even harder. We got to see things start to come together at the Kissmas show earlier in December, where Liv & “Flirt” set new PR’s for themselves as a team! Together, they outran themselves by over a full second from the previous 2023 Kissmas show. Kissmas marks exactly one year that Flirt has been hauling down the road. What a great way to end out the year and close out Flirt’s futurity year!

Flirt & Olivia have been so much fun to work with and train. Excited to continue down the road with both of them into 2025!
