Happy horses today 👑 (cold human 🥶)… we’ve been stuck on indoor turnout waiting for the ground to harden back up, I’d say these guys enjoyed the break from the arena this afternoon!

We want to give a giant shout out to Chelsey, who work’s quietly and diligently behind the scenes! Chelsey’s dedication to our program inside and outside of the arena, is one of the main reasons we are able to expand and grow. Chelsey helps us with daily barn chores and facility functions, so if you see Chelsey in the barn during the week, don’t forget to thank her for her time and efforts. She is one of the hardest working people I’ve met, rather it be on horseback or in the stall barn. Without Chelsey, we would not be able to open up more stalls for training or our student program. She raises the barn all the way around.

Happy Thanksgiving from EPH & Therapy 🦃 We’re so thankful for all who come into our barn! Rather it be our younger generation who are learning and progressing further in their abilities, or those who are behind the scenes who help us keep things moving smoothly. We wouldn’t be able to do what we are doing if it weren’t for each and everyone one of you.

Along with many others in the barrel racing community, we mourn the loss of Kenny Baker. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. His presence is already missed by many.

To support his family, Penny Baker, Sierra Baker, and Simon Baker, we are raffling off a breeding to VF Smooth N Rare for the 2025 season. The winner will receive a waived breeding fee (valued at $ 1250), but they will be responsible for shipping.

The goal of this raffle is to help the Baker Family, so we will not be limiting the number of slots we sell. However, we will draw on Saturday, November 30th, so act fast.

VF Smooth N Rare is enrolled in Tᴏᴍᴏʀʀᴏᴡ’s Lᴇɢᴇɴᴅs Sᴛᴀʟʟɪᴏɴ Iɴᴄᴇɴᴛɪᴠᴇ, Future Fortunes Inc., KISS Stallions, and National Pole Bending Association for 2025.

To the man who instilled the foundation, determination and hunger in Connor and I, thank you. Please keep the Baker family in heart & thoughts with you. Without Ken & Penny, we wouldn’t be doing what we are trying to do today. Ken has left an entire legacy behind with his family, horses and every person he helped or guided along the way. He is already missed so painfully.

Excited to announce that for a second time, at the end of this week we will be competing at the 2024 Great Lakes Championship Bull Riding Association Finals! Finals will run November 22nd & 23rd 2024. Make sure to get your tickets!

We currently have two lesson time slots available! Barrel Racing & Pole Bending focused program. We go over all elements of both timed events, as well as tuning up or fixing problem areas. You can message us for more information!

Our program is more than just going fast, we break down the sport and rebuild as we go! We have a proven program with all riders improving, setting new personal records and more.

I am so thrilled with these kids this week and it’s only TUESDAY!!!! We have a whole week of lessons & training left! Every single kid is showing up and I’m here for it! So proud of all of them.

This one is for the supporters of the game.

The spouse, parent, friend—the person that the athlete, competitor or student looks up to and respects the most.

Your job is crucial.

If you have someone who turns to you, you have a big responsibility.

Your job is to push this person to believe in themselves and keep trying, even when the cards are stacked against them and it seems the tables will never turn.

When they have little faith, you might be the one God is using to give them the glimpse of hope that keeps them going.

Sometimes that is all it takes, just that little push, to help them try just one more time.

Is tough love necessary?

Absolutely—this isn’t all butterflies and rainbows. Sometimes they need to hear things that are hard to take, but growth happens in the tough places. Just follow up with encouragement, let them know you believe in them.

Keep pushing when necessary and backing off when needed.

It isn’t your place to kill the dream God put in their heart.

Whether you are the competitor or the supporter, or both… Let’s do our best to build up and not tear down.

You’d be amazed what someone can achieve with a little confidence behind them!
