Lessons are such a great starting point to fixing, improving and furthering you & your horse! Our lesson program is backed with years of experience and knowledge that keeps on growing daily! We’ve been taught by some of the best in the business and we love being able to bring that experience to Northern Ohio! If it weren’t for our past, getting coached, guided and pushed in the right direction, we wouldn’t be able to do what we are doing now or sit on the caliber of horses we are now! Our lesson program is always expanding and is the only program that has over 10+ years of experience in the barrel racing industry between Erie, Huron & other local surrounding counties! Programs and training only work if you do!

Okay now that I got your attention with the weird title of this post….

As I was driving over to Dodie’s last night to get my weekly dose of help from her I started thinking about how many times in the past I’ve gotten help and I thought surely I was going to dominate at the next barrel race or rodeo and I didn’t.

Then I started thinking..getting help is kinda like getting a cast on a broken leg. Getting the cast isn’t going to miraculously fix your broken bone over night…but it’s going to help it heal a heck of a lot faster vs if you just left it without any medical attention.

Same thing goes for getting help..your most likely not going to have all your problems fixed in just one session or just one run but your going to get it figured out a heck of a lot faster than you would have if you didn’t get help!

They say “it takes a village”.. and I can confirm it definitely takes a village of incredible people! When things turned left for us, some amazing people made sure we got it right! We are so thankful & grateful for a few ladies making sure we got to every spot we needed to be, even driving 2 hours out of their way! Community is everything, and we believe in building a strong one here at EPH!

Some good information from Lake Erie Equine

With all the county fairs starting up soon, here are some tips for a safe week with your equine partners.

Make sure to check the stall for any sharp nails or eye hooks sticking out to avoid injuries. Also, clear out any large rocks that may be on the floor of the stall before putting shavings down.

Some horses have a hard time adjusting to the change of the water at the fairgrounds and they tend to drink less. You can offer flavored water to make it more enticing, but make sure they have access to unflavored water as well.

Fair weeks always tend to bring the hot weather. Make sure to help keep your horse as cool as possible during this time. Properly cool out by hand walking and cold hosing after practicing and participating in shows. If the fair allows, bring a fan with an enclosed motor to hang on the stall.
