This day is dedicated to increasing public awareness about FIP, a severe and often fatal viral disease in cats, and to highlighting the importance of ongoing research and education about prevention and new treatment options.

National Take a Hike Day is on Monday, November 17, 2025, and it's a great opportunity to take your dog on a hike to get some exercise and fresh air. To celebrate with your pet, research dog-friendly trails, keep your dog hydrated, practice recall, and take regular breaks.

National Slobber Appreciation Day is a day to celebrate slobbery pets, particularly breeds like Saint Bernards and Newfoundlands, and the joy they bring, even with the drool! 🐶🐾🐕

World Animal Enrichment Day in 2025 is a day dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of providing mental and physical stimulation for animals to improve their well-being. The day was founded by animal behaviorist Sarah-Jane White to encourage pet owners and organizations like zoos to implement enrichment activities, which help animals express their natural behaviors.

Veterans Day is distinct from Memorial Day, a U.S. public holiday in May. Veterans Day commemorates the service of all U.S. veterans, while the older Memorial Day, which grew out of Civil War commemorations, specifically honors those who have died while in military service.

Our new pet bereavement program is in the Sandusky Register!

This month’s meeting is next Friday, November 21st, from 6:00 - 7:00 PM in the Work Space Auditorium at 1521 E Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio.

The day is celebrated to raise awareness of the mutually beneficial relationship between people and animals and is supported by organizations like the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI) and the Human Animal Bond Association (HABA).

Today is National Canine Lymphoma Awareness Day.
Lymphoma is one of the most common forms of canine cancer. And when our furry friends are suffering from this disease, it’s good to know that there are resources out there to keep us informed. National Canine Lymphoma Awareness Day educates and seeks a cure for canine lymphoma. The day empowers dog owners through research.
