I apologize for my lack of posting and advertising! I also want to thank my current customers for sticking with me and for letting me provide my service for you! I am incredibly grateful to you guys!

I had some MAJOR unexpected life changes happen to me shortly after getting Dukey Poo Services up and running, so have not been on the ball as I should have been. That is entirely on me.

In the time between my life being upended to now, I have been doing my best in taking care of my home and children, while also making sure my current clients were being taken care of! So once again, thank you to the clients who have stuck with me from day one! I am BLESSED to have your business!

With facing another major life change with my career as a UPS delivery driver being up in the air, I will have more time to get back on the ball and things rolling again!

This is the busiest time of year for a "puppy poo pickup provider" since all those landmines from the winter are now being unearthed of all that snow!

I encourage you to reach out for a spring time cleanup to get your yard ready for the warmer weather that is coming our way soon!

Hello again! Kim here popping on to let everyone know that services will not be able to start until May!
I am currently on vacation with family in Florida, and then my birthday is at the end of this month!
I didnt want to start any possible weekly, or biweekly services for anyone, and then have to let them know I'd have to reschedule on them due to family plans.

I also have two business housekeeping tasks to complete, and have been working on the one when on vacation while I have been able. We've been real busy! So its been slow going.

I look forward to helping everyone who has reached out to me this past week!

Me again! I'll be popping on every once in a while with random things until DPS is officially a GO!
Today I'll be introducing myself, and sharing the short history behind Dukey Poo Services.
So, HELLO! My name is Kim Mastel, the owner and operator behind DPS. I was born and raised, right here in Huron, SD! Not long after graduating from Huron Highschool (GO TIGERS!) I met the man of my dreams, and the one who continuously puts up with me and my stubbornness once I get a plan in my head! (Thank you, Erick Lew, for supporting me)
This is also the time that I met DPS's namesake, Erick's best boy, Duke; a goofy, equally stubborn, food obsessed, heart larger than life, pit mix. (Who is pictured as the page's cover picture)
We moved to Gillette, WY for a short period before moving back home with a new baby, my first born.
After moving back, I was a stay at home mom for 5 months until going back to work to Banner Engineering for the second time. Roughly three years later, I accepted a position at UPS as a full-time delivery driver! (Some of you may have seen me out and about, and quite possibly had me deliver your packages!)
While I had my own route in town, I noticed quite a few homes with dogs that looked like they might need help keeping up with their dogs... bathroom habits 😅 So, the idea to provide a p**p scooping service was born!
As for how we came up with the name for DPS, LLC; Erick's dog, Duke, had been a part of our family from the very minute we met. At that time, he was about 4.5yrs old. The very last day of this month, March 31st, will mark 8years that Erick and I have officially been a couple. Unfortunately, roughly two months after Duke's 13th birthday on Christmas Eve, we were forced to say goodbye to the old man.....
So, when I decided to start this business, I thought that there was no better way to honor that larger than life dog, than to name this new venture after him.

So.... to end this lengthy introduction post... Rest in Peace Dukey Poo, we love and miss you so very much 🤎

Hello! DPS, LLC is still set to be fully operational come the beginning of May.

As a full-time working parent, who also has dogs, I know all too well how picking up what our furry friend's dropped off, can get put on the backburner, or how time consuming it can be, when there are other things we would rather be doing!

In my current day to day job, I work for UPS. When I had my route in town, I noticed that there IS a need for professional p**p scoopers here, but no one had jumped up to the plate yet!

So here we are!

I am so excited to be able to start helping our town become a cleaner, healthier place to live in, one yard at a time!
