Finally got to finish up our ranch show today at the Ottawa County Horse Foundation!

Freya did amazing things for her first show and only third time hauled away from home!
1st in Ranch Horsemanship
2nd in Ranch Pleasure and Ranch Riding all W/T right now during seasoning!
More so I am so proud with how well she handled the environment! Loud speaker, papers blowing right at her at one point, people and kids all over! She handled it like a champ! She’s going to be one awesome mare, she already is!

Raven and Alli took home two fifths and a forth in their classes! Raven is learning that all patterns do not require her to be a speed racer 🤣 barrel horses man. She had a beautiful ranch riding pattern!

Another huge shout out to Ms Alli here, this was her first show with Raven. They have been putting in a lot of long hours and Raven is not an easy horse to ride! They took 5th in ranch confirmation out of a huge group of horses. They rode beautifully in the warm up pen and I know had we not got rained out they would have had beautiful classes! On to state fair try outs in two weeks!

Ms Freya here got to haul out to her first show ever! I cannot say enough good things about this mares brains! She’s a true joy to have in the barn! First show, first ever time riding around more than two other horses, first loud speaker, strollers, kids on bikes! She was a rockstar! We unfortunately got rained out before our classes but the experience is all worth it!

⚠️ With two new confirmed cases located in Lorain County I will be taking precautions and my barn will be closed to outside visitors who are around other horses until the end of the month. I will reevaluate at that time. Thank you for your understanding!

Added a new heifer calf to farm today and she visited in the horse barn for a minute while getting her pen ready. Everyone was super interested in her!

when you have goals in mind! Spitting snow today but we both had time to ride so ride we did! Long trotting around the big barn today to get these guys legged up for the season ahead! Even 15 minutes is enough to make a difference!

Fawn is the prime example of rough hands and rushed work ruins horses. Shes doing so well learning to be relaxed with a rider! I’m so proud of how far she has come!

Fawn third ride in the beginning, she was new to me with zero riding history. Fawn ride ten after some time off due to health issues and me needing to rethink my approach with her. Now she is willing to walk forward under saddle all on her own with zero hesitation, rearing or tensing up! The look of relaxation on her face is everything! Sometimes you have to just listen to the horse. Behavior is something I have always been interested in, started with horses and dogs, progressed to teaching children with behaviors, and I’m back full circle in working with horses. This is something I am extremely passionate about. Learning to read your horse is something that every horse owner needs to learn and understand. Not everything is behavior and not everything is pain. #horsetraining #horsetrainer #problemsolving

Building my dreams one day at a time!

Fall Fawn Fleet making some big strides here. Won’t lie I was ready to sell her last week but I got to thinking and realized that for some reason I keep getting in horses like her, it must be for a reason. Sure there is fancier trainers out there than me, but I’ve got nothing but time and communication is key for me. Figuring out why everyone else gave up on riding her and filling in those holes gives me a satisfaction that no judge or clock will ever give me

There is no better feeling than seeing someone else nail it on a horse you’ve trained! This is my mare and she was running barrels the last two years and this winter I made the switch to ranch riding with her. Alli is one of the first people to be able to nail it with her the way I can. I’m so proud of this duo!
