Our Next Off- Season Market is scheduled for January 13, 2023, inside Area 34.

Our regular Market Season, won’t start until May 2024, the same place it’s been since June 2022. The field beside the Exxon/Arby’s. It has plenty of parking, it’s accessible for all and it’s our 15th year.

We have many returning vendors, and we are a registered farmers market with the Virginia Department of Agriculture. Many of our long time members are also members…

We are recruiting for our 15th year of the Putnam Farmers Market! Our small market serves on average 100 folks per week throughout the market season.

We do not allow any purchased products from auction - all must be grown, harvested or made. Handcrafts are juried into our market and you can see sampling of our members and guests at our Off-Season Pop-Up events.

The new 2024 Applications will be available in January 2024.

We may also have wild black berries and some zucchini and yellow squash.

Exciting weekend coming up for the Putnam Farmers Market This Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. traditional crops such as tomatoes peppers cucumbers squashes garlic onions and the like are all beginning first harvest great time to come down and support your local farmers as well as some of the areas most talented artisans.

Some of the items at this weekend’s market:

Meats: pork; chicken; Cornish hens (we hope); hot Italian sausage (on sale!)

Produce: Garlic, Green beans, cabbage, tomatoes, celery, squash, cucumbers, green tomatoes, lettuce, blueberries, gooseberries, onions, and hearty greens

Prepared Foods: Strawberry shortcake; filled sprinkle cookies; large and small pies; new jams (!); pepperoni rolls; cobblers (blackberry, peach);honey

Crafts: Crochet, recycled crayons
