Red Desert Doodles is a breeder of multi-generational miniature, medium, and standard size Australian Labradoodles. As our name implies, we are located in the Red Desert Region of Southwest Utah near Zion National Park. All of our dogs are raised in our home as part of our family or in loving guardian homes, where they get the love and attention that they deserve. It is our goal to offer the very best quality dogs with great temperaments, conformation, and health.

WARNING: Something to be aware of. Dogs are most likely to contract the condition by being in close contact with numerous other dogs at daycare, groomers, boarding kennels and dog parks.

Experts believe the unidentified condition, which leads to severe antibiotic-resistant pneumonia, is contagious and contracted by dogs in group settings.

We are super excited about this pairing! This will be Luna's first litter. Luna is from our Molly & Leo "Star Wars" litter. She has turned out absolutely amazing. We love her calm temperament. She loves to go for car rides.

Buddy is owned by one of our breeder friends in Montana. He is down here in Southern Utah for a few weeks and we are taking advantage of the opportunity to use him with a few of our girls. Buddy is a handsome black phantom with a straight fleece coat. He has the softest and kindest soul you will ever meet. He is super quiet and laid back. He has produced many pups with his calm disposition. Many of these puppies have gone on to be service & therapy dogs.

We anticipate Luna and Buddy's puppies to be miniature in size ranging from 18 to 28 lbs. at maturity. We are expecting puppies in apricot, black, caramel, and chocolate.

We are super excited to introduce our newest potential stud!

We drove all the way to Canada 🇨🇦 last weekend to pick-up this handsome black phantom boy from our friends .

Puppy Love Black Pearl aka “Rex” was named by our grandson on our 1,000 mile trip back home and the name stuck.

Rex will be miniature in size, ranging from 22 to 26 lbs. at maturity.

We will be working on his health testing over the next several months & upon successful completion, we hope to see some “Rex” puppies in early 2024.

Puppies that have insufficient exposure to a variety of normal stimuli during their first four months of life are at higher risk of being overly fearful as adults. Sound desensitization is a simple way of teaching puppies/dogs how to be calm during loud noises by exposing them to a variety of sounds. Desensitization is the simple act of changing that stimulus from something that causes fear, to something that has a positive association. When our puppies are around 2-½ weeks old, we begin exposing them to many new sounds. We continue this process up until the puppies are ready to go to their new homes. It is important to continue sound desensitization with your puppy. Desensitizing your dog or puppy to loud sounds before they happen in ‘real life’ will help your dog’s confidence and help avoid fear in their life. You want your puppy/dog to associate any new sound with something positive. We find that one of the best times to play sounds is when a puppy is eating, as they associate the sound with something positive. There are a variety of desensitization sound tracks available on both YOUTUBE and SPOTIFY. HOW TO DESENSITIZE YOUR DOG TO SOUNDS Desensitizing your dog to sounds is a process that takes time, patience, and the willingness to keep an eye out for stressed dog body language. Here’s a quick overview of how to do sound desensitization:: 🐾 Step 1 - Play a sound at a low volume. 🐾 Step 2 - Give your dog a treat or high value reward as you play the sound. 🐾 Step 3 - Slowly repeat steps 1-2 until you can reach full volume. If your dog gets nervous/scared at any point, lower the volume and try again. Remember, this process can take weeks to months, depending on your dog’s history, fear level, and what the trigger might be... so be patient! What noise is your dog most fearful of? Sugar & Leo’s “Spice” litter are 6 weeks old. These cute puppies will be going home to their new families in a couple of weeks. The puppies are getting some outside play time on the warmer days and they are getting lots of attention and handling from our grandchildren and puppy socializers. They are sleeping in their crates at night and during nap times. We have started feeding them softened puppy food and have fully weaned them from mom. The puppies will be ready to go home on February 25th. We still have one male puppy (Cayenne) that is still available. Minnie & Kingston’s puppies are 4 weeks old. We have moved the puppies into a bigger puppy play area where they have more room to roam around and explore. We have also started supplementing them with a little bit of goat’s milk to help keep up with the demand of growing puppies. The puppies will start getting some outside playtime this week and we will continue the socialization process. The puppies will also be introduced to a doggie door and start learning how to go through the door to the outside. We have also started the process of introducing them to a crate and they are now sleeping in a crate at night with the door open. The litter reservation list for Minnie and Kingston’s litter is full. Abby & Tux’s puppies are 4 weeks old and getting cuter by the day. We have moved the puppies into a bigger puppy play area where they have more room to roam around and explore.
