Just like humans, pets are prone to painful ailments such as osteoarthritis. Pets are great at hiding pain, so it's easy to miss the signs until it gets severe.

It’s NATIONAL BLADDER HEALTH MONTH
Let’s throw it back this Thursday to this sweet pup that had seen and treated for a UTI, but after the antibiotics were done, her issues seemed to come right back! 🤯
An x-ray of her belly revealed something that is far more common in pets than people think: urinary bladder stones. 😱
These little-known intruders come in various forms, such as struvite stones, often triggered by bladder infections, or calcium oxalate stones, influenced by genetics and diet, particularly in breeds like Miniature Schnauzers and English Bulldogs.
Not only can urinary stones cause immense discomfort in pets, they also result in an extremely high risk of obstructing the urethra. If the urethra is obstructed and your pet cannot urinate, the bladder may continue to fill until it ruptures in the abdomen which can be fatal.
Unfortunately, evidence of urinary stones does not always show on our standard urinalysis. If your pet faces consistent urinary issues or a history of recurring UTIs, its time for a closer look. 🔎🔎 Consider a check up to catch potential bladder stones early. Prevention, proper hydration, and regular veterinary consultations are key to ensuring your furry friends urinary health. 🩺 🐾

🐾 Meet Tres Leches, a little fighter with a big heart! 💙 This sweet kitten was part of a litter found by a kind-hearted person who noticed something wasn’t quite right. When they brought him to us, we discovered he had a severely injured paw that couldn’t be saved. To give him the best chance at a happy, healthy life, we performed a leg amputation – and he handled it like a champ!
In support of his journey, our clinic donated all the necessary medications, and our doctor generously volunteered her time for his surgery and care. Thanks to this team effort, Tres Leches healed beautifully and adapted to life on three legs without a second thought.

Now, he’s found his forever home with an amazing family who adores him just as much as we do! He may have three legs, but he’s got all the love and energy in the world. 🌟

Here’s to the resilience of animals, the kindness of our community, and happy endings. 💙
