❄️The weather is gonna be bad this weekend so please prepare for your animals, especially the ones that are outside. With that being said, we have some straw bales for those who need it and cannot either financially or physically get it.

If you are capable, Tractor Supply and Atwoods here in Hutchinson have straw bales for sale.

If you know someone who needs some help or you yourself need some help during this weather please send us a message via Facebook. The law requires animals to be provided shelter, food, and water so if you see an animal that is not being taken care of, please report it.

Hey there Delilah, what's it like in your new foster home? 🏡🎵 It's freezing cold outside, but girl tonight you're safe & warm 🙌

Guys, we can't say it enough ‼️ We CANNOT save lives without fosters and Delilah is one of the lucky ones who had a foster step up for her. We can't be sure but almost positive that this sweet girl was yet another victim of being dumped 💔 As far as we know she spent a little time on the run before one of the wonderful officers with South Hutchinson Police Dept was able to catch her and get her to safety. From there she served her stray hold, not surprisingly never claimed. Just another beautiful pittipotomous facing euthanasia because no one wanted her 😭 Thanks to her amazing foster parents stepping in, Delilah is safe and comfy and warm. Upon settling in, foster Mom sat with Delilah and cried telling her how sorry she is that someone abandoned her. This sweet girl promptly placed her head in foster Mom's hands, exhaled and gave foster Mom her paw 🐾 to hold ❤️ We're not crying YOU'RE crying 😢

Give us a few days to learn about our new girl, but she will be ready and waiting for her FOREVER family to come along! Information on our adoption & foster process is included! Shoot us a message if interested 😃

Friends, please do your thing and share! This poor Lil guy went missing this morning around 2am (not wearing the shirt in photo) from 9th/Wilshire. He recently had surgery and was to get his tube's out today. Keep an eye out if you're in the area, he's friendly! If you can get him you can contact 620-899-0782.

This handsome pup was found around 19th/Cone here in Hutchinson. Finder is taking him to the shelter but please share so hopefully owner can be located!

We have some SUPER exciting adoption announcements to end the year 🫶 What a year it has been being able to save lives and find amazing homes for these deserving pups 🐶 Reba was rescued from the shelter facing euthanasia, her foster Mom helped her get healthy and learn to be loved before sending her off to her loving parents and doggy sister ❤️ Willow was also a stray (possibly dumped), terrified and needed to be saved. Her foster Mom helped heal her heart enough to allow love from her new family, complete with a doggy sibling and her own tiny human 💗 Both of these girls are perfect examples of WHY WE RESCUE 🙌 Thank you to their families for choosing to adopt and to their foster Mom's for opening their hearts to love these beautiful girls! Happy LIFE, girls 🐾💞🏡

No surprise....Nora, the dog found Thursday evening has not been claimed 😞 Her stray hold is almost up so we would like to find a foster OR forever home for her. We've had a few people express interest so here is your chance! We guesstimate Nora to be 2-3 years old, loves all people so far (maybe not so much people wearing hats 🤷‍♀️), doesn't mind other dogs but sure prefers them more calm (not rowdy). She will need to be vetted before able to be adopted but we will happily accept applications any time! Our foster and adoption requirements are included here, just shoot us a message if interested in Nora ♥️🐾🏡

It's TIMEEEEEE 🥳 The new year is right around the corner and it's that "New Year, New You" kind of time 😊 We ALWAYS need foster homes 🏡 so we are here asking again, make your change for the new year one that is really good for your soul ♥️ Fostering costs you NOTHING (unless you want to do some extra extra spoiling). You get all the furbaby loving with no financial obligation, but reliability is a MUST. We need fosters who are comfortable taking in different sizes, breeds and genders of dogs to help relieve our overloaded fosters OR to save one of the many lives at risk in the shelters. Please consider making the new year the time you choose to join our army 💪🐾 Shoot us a message if interested in starting the approval process!

TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ Some images may be graphic to some.

Welp....we didn't wake up today planning to beg for more money, but here we are🤦‍♀️ This morning we picked up Trinity (FKA Wile E. Coyote) from Wichita to move her to one of our most trusted foster homes to get the care she needs. Unfortunately when she went into the shelter with a broken leg, she did receive the treatment she needed in an amputation however she was not easy to care for after, requiring more in depth monitoring than the shelter can provide. Trinity was a stray...Just a baby at 2 years old and already facing life with 3 legs. Now, dogs can definitely thrive but it's important the healing process go well and our girl got the short end of the stick with healing 😞 As we speak, Trinity is in surgery with our vet to have her incision cleaned up and fixed up so she can get on the road to the right recovery. Ya know what that means... an expense we didn't plan for but we committed so we're gonna ask for some help from our friends, you guys! 🫶 We have a wonderful anonymous donor who helps us out with some of these bigger medical cases and they have offered to match any donations we receive up to $500 (that means $1,000 total!) 💞 Trinity's care just for today is sitting at $600 and she will be hospitalized over the weekend so that number will definitely go UP ☝️ We appreciate any AND all donations but now is when we need it most! Plans are in the works to get our very OWN facility and expenses like this simply do not help. Remember, we are 501c3 so if you do feel inclined to make a big end of year donation it's tax deductible! Anything we receive above Trinity's expenses will only put us further toward our goal 🙏

Guys, we sure do LOVE a happy ending and Jeffery (now Buddy) wants to share his! 🫶 Just a puppy, about 9 months old Buddy found himself in a high kill shelter in Texas 💔 Now, a rescue from Texas is not something we've tackled before but with the help of some great rescue partners and one heck of an amazing foster family, Buddy was tagged and made his way to Kansas ❤️🐾 Buddy quickly made himself at home, soaking in all the good loving and ensured he would never be in need again by making his foster family fall in love 😊 Now that Buddy has been neutered and x-rays taken to determine the severity of his injured leg, we can share what MAY have happened. Originally thought to be hit by a car leaving him with a broken leg and missing teeth....it turns out to maybe be so much more 😢 During his surgery it was discovered that Buddy had a bullet in his leg, which caused the injury and more likely his teeth were knocked out by being beaten 😭 Thankfully he is on the road to recovery with his now FOREVER family and will receive the very BEST care for his future. Friends, this is why we rescue....thank you to Buddy's family for choosing to foster AND adopt 🙌 and happy LIFE, Buddy 🏡💞

This super sweet girl was found this afternoon in the 2500 blk of N Hendricks. A kind family took her in out of the cold but hasn't been able to locate an owner 🥹 We will scan her for a chip, she is safe tonight but please share and let us know if you are the owner or know the owner 🙏🐾❤️

Otho & Juno sadly did not get their Christmas wish of a forever home 🏡 but they are living it UP in the foster home, just waiting for their people to come along! Friends, we've got some BIG expenses coming up and could sure use your help 🙏💰 Some are routine, some are a little "extra" 🤷‍♀️ As always, we appreciate every little bit but it is the end of the year so if you're looking for an end of the year donation (tax deductible, of course) or know of a business that may have extra end of the year funds, please consider us! EVERY single bit we receive goes to the animals in our care 🐾🐕🐈

Titus has been with us for a bit and we can tell has something going on with his eyes, which can't be comfortable. More than likely he will require entropion surgery, rough estimate for that is $500 💰😬

Franklin is a new face, recently rescued and served his quarantine for a doggy cold 😷 Now he's ready to be neutered. This isn't anything special, just regular vetting that we do for every animal in our care but it's an expense nonetheless 💰🤷‍♀️

Debbie is another new face, recently rescued and also served her quarantine for a doggy cold 😷 What she also came with in her old lady state is some lumps in need of removal. Not real sure what we can expect but a solid guess would be several hundred 💰🤔

Baby Cujo is yet another new face and came to us a touch on the grouchy side (her name is a definite hint 😉). She is an older gal and in need of a dental as so many older pups are 🫤 Given her age there will be bloodwork required so this could all run in the $500 range to get her all fixed up 💰

Last, but definitely not least is CHUCKY, our first kitty in awhile. Chucky came to us with a broken leg so he has served several weeks of "crate rest" and is now ready to be neutered and finally live his best kitten life 🥳 💰

Most of these cute faces are not quite ready for adoption until their medical needs are all taken care of. Please consider any amount to help us get them there!

Just so everyone doesn't forget....we have PUPPIES 🥳 Are they fluffy? No 🤷‍♀️ Are they tiny? Also, no...🤷‍♀️ Guess what though! Without the fluff, no worries about constant grooming (routine grooming visits are healthy for most any dog, just not AS often for these guys). They may not be tiny, but guys....they aren't as big as they appear! Ranging from 15-20 lbs at about 5 months old, they may be medium ish size at most. While we kinda suspect they have some lab in them they sure aren't sizing up to be as big as their suspected Dad! Nelson, Nancy, Nala & Neva never got to play in the grass where their lives began. They never got to wrestle with other dogs, they were too busy huddling together for warmth. A rescued dog will be the most loving, appreciative dog you could ever have and these guys can be raised within your family ❤️💚 Ready to find their forever home 🏡 in time for Christmas if you'd like something super special (pets ARE a serious commitment but CAN be a wonderful gift 🎁 when everyone is on board). Rocky & Bruno were such good little boys while meeting the Grinch 🥰 Number one on their Christmas list is a forever home (together) 🏡 of their very own! These boys are under a year old and have their good boy manners mastered thanks to their foster parents & foster siblings teaching them how to dog 🐕💙 Shoot us a message if interested in adopting!

Our girl Penny is ready to find her happily ever after 🥰 She was found as a stray and her owners didn't want her back so she found herself facing euthanasia 😭 Such a sweet, sad girl we just couldn't help ourselves. Penny is an "older" girl at 8 years old and a "bigger" girl at 85ish lbs. She's a gentle giant though and just loves to chill and watch the world go by 🐾❤️ Penny has been around other dogs and done great 🐕 She is not too much a fan of tiny humans (they scare her) so we would not recommend children younger than 12 for her. If you'd like to be considered to give Penny the life she deserves please shoot us a message!
