Worked with my Frankers this morning. Decided to film some of it. I had forgotten I was working on the command Away until I was rewatching old videos. It had probably been about 2 years since we worked on it.

You can see in the video that I am using a treat to lure him into the command. I did try it without a treat and he was not ready for that. I am not mad about that! If I couldn’t remember working on it how could I expect him to remember. 😆 Time to start practicing it again.

Everyone meet Gunny! Gunny is a German Shorthair Pointer puppy. We started his puppy training a couple weeks ago. His momma has big goals for him. When he gets older, his momma wants to get him into a dog sport like obedience or rally. We tackle puppy obedience and as he grows we will work on building his skills so he can compete. I can’t wait to see his progress!

Everyone meet Sunny! Sunny is now Beau’s sister. These two puppies are very sweet but have opposite personalities! 😆 We worked on obedience with both and a trick with Beau. Both were working on place in the pictures. Sunny was just being introduced to the command and Beau was generalizing it to his soft bed.

Ceberus is such a smart pup! We started field trips so build his obedience while he’s out and about. We walked around the park and even built his confidence by having him slid down the slide.

Everyone meet Numa! Numa started her obedience and home manners training a couple weeks ago. She is about a year in a half old and very sweet but needs some guidance. Her dad wants her to be the best girl that she can be. I’m excited to see her continue to improve!

Remember how I said I do customized training plans?

Kelce had her last lesson this morning. One of the issues was her being wild in the car. We practiced over the last couple weeks riding calmly.

We also worked on building her heel that she already knew. Kelce had a vet appointment this morning, the first one since she was little. I got an awesome text about how well it went!

This makes my heart happy! 😊

Happy national dog day!! What are some things you love about your dog(s)?

A few reasons why I love my dogs: they wiggle their booties when I walk in the door, they do things that make me laugh, and they can tell when I’m sad or not feeling well.

Did you know I create customized trainings plans? When we do our consultation, I ask ‘what are your training goals’ or ‘what behavioral problems are you having?’ I think it’s important to customize a plan for every dog/owner.

I worked with Kelce this morning. One problem her owner was having was with their golf cart. Kelce likes to ride but would frequently get off. She also like to try to jump up on the drivers side while the owner was already sitting there. We’ve been working on this and Kelce has been improving!! #

Everyone meet Kelce! This sweet lab is a little over 2 years old. She has had previous training but needs help with home manners and some specific tasks that the previous trainer didn’t do. We will also be doing a refresher on her obedience. She is very smart and has already shown some improvement in the things we worked on at our first lesson.
