We only have 3 puppies left. They are easier to work with when we only have a few puppies. This was their first sit lesson. I am impressed that they learned to sit on command the first day. I can't wait to work with them today!!

The time has come to say good by to our latest litter of lab puppies. This is the sad time for my wife, and I because we get attached to these little guys. The Mom "Maggie Mae" has been a great mother to these pups. She has to say good by also. I really believe she will miss them also. You can see from the video she loves playing with her children. We are going to miss these little guys..

Starting the weaning process. The pups are getting teeth, and moma decides that these sweet little babies of hers are starting to inflict some pain when she feeds them. So she stops feeding them until her swollen teats hurt more than feeding her babies. She then feeds them long enough to ease the pain in her swollen teats, and leaves the pups hungry. This is when we step in to start feeding the pups and start the weaning process. A funny thing happened yesterday evening. We have a large rabit population in our neighborhood. They are a menace in my tomato garden. Maggie Mae left the pups after a short feeding, and came back to the birthing box with a rabbbit in her mouth. I guess she was going to try to feed the rabbit to the pups. I called to Maggie,and she brought the rabbit to me........it was still alive, and I took care of the rabbit.

Ziva fetch Feb 2020

Good news...Maggie Mae is pregnant again. We bred her to Deets again. Puppies are due at the end of March of 2020. Below is a video of Ziva a puppy from Maggie, and Deets last litter in August 2019. She is 51/2 months old now. She is a beautiful Lab, and smart to boot. We are taking deposits for the next litter. Please contact me if interested.

Last weekend we had puppy owners over for a puppy play date. The couple that purchased the last puppy brought "Denali" over for a play date with Ziva, and Maggie Mae. My wife, and I considered keeping the puppy (we named him Blackie), but he was a male, and we really wanted to keep a female. Ziva (the puppy we got back), and Denali had a ball playing with each other. Denali was the 2nd smallest puppy in the litter, but he grew!!! It is a joy to see the puppies grow, and mature. Our kennel (Home) is open to anyone that purchased a puppy from Peoples Choice Labs for a play date.

Brother, and Sister Reunion.
Terry, and Lisa Moore who purchased the last puppy we sold (Blackie) came by the house last night for a puppy play date. They re-named him Denali, and he and Ziva had a great time playing. He and Ziva are three months old now. It was just like old times when they were only five, six, or seven weeks old just puppy playing. Since he was with me the longest I built a special bond with him. I was really sad when he left, but I knew Lisa, and Terry would take really good care of him. In fact I seriously thought about keeping him, but I really wanted a female. He was the second smallest puppy in the litter, but my how he has grown. He is a big boy now.

Walking the Dog (Lab Mam, and 3 month old Daughter)
We live on a Circle in Hutto, Tx. The circle is 1 mile around. All of the homes in the neighborhood are on approx. 2 acres. I have counted approx. 30 homes on my side of the street going around the circle. Every day I take my labs for a walk in my back yard. We make 15 labs around the back yard approx. 1 mile. Maggie Mae is an old pro, and stays to my left on the trip around the back yard. She only stops to p*e, or leave a duce. Ziva (Maggie Mae’s 3 month old daughter) is now learning the routine. She makes more frequent stops, but is slowly getting the hang of it. She will be a pro soon I believe.

Last 2 puppies, and mom waiting for me to come home. The puppy on the right is sold, and he will be picked up on Friday, leaving me with Blackie on the left. IMO he is the smartest pup in the litter, or maybe the most curious, but also the one of the smallest puppies. (I believe he will make an excellent hunting dog) I believe I am going to keep him.

Puppy Sit

I am starting to train the 3 yelllow male labs we have left. It is much easier to work with them individually training one or two pups at a time. They have the sit command down pretty good. I have started teaching them to fetch a tennis ball. The lab with the black collar brought the ball back 4 times in a row last night, but of course I did not catch it on film. I will try to get them fetching on film tonight. If anyone know of someone looking for a lab puppy I have 3 really good pups lookiing for a new home.
