The 2025 Show and Competition Pre-show brochure and registration form is now up on our website https://iowataxidermyassociation.com/. You can click the link for it and print out the registration form. Please fill out the form and send it to the ITA Secretary by March 7th. Make sure and check the box on form to receive notifications via text message for ITA events, updates and general communications .We will also be selling raffle tickets at this years show and throughout the year for a Fallow Deer hunt worth $3000 at North Star Hunting Preserve in Montour, IA. The drawing will be at our 2026 Show. There will be more details on the raffle at the show. This years show will be at a new venue in West Des Moines. For those that are having their deer aged, I sent in all the teeth today. Once they are received and checked in, by the lab, turn around is 90 days. So roughly mid to late April is when I will expect the results.

It's been a little bit since I've posted anything. First off, I want to thank everyone so far for choosing Schroeders Wildlife Reflections for your trophies.
It's been an interesting season, and without your support, I couldn't do what I love. Thank you!!!

I've taken a little different approach to this season's workload. I've mounted a few up so far, but I've been busy tanning capes and I'm closing in on the last dozen of those to do. Then I'll be settling in to a steady schedule of getting things mounted up.
That said, if you have deer in your freezers, let's think about getting them to me sooner than later. It helps me with my schedule, and we don't want to deal with freezer burn on lips and ears if it can be avoided.

This particular deer was one the first of the regular archery season to come in. Talk about making a statement! Plenty of pics, so enjoy!

As a taxidermist, I love being able to help put the final touches on a young kid's hunting experience. This happens to be the first buck (of many, I'm sure) for this particular young man. Blessed to be able to do what I love every day!
