Please welcome Melissa to the team at Eagle Rock Veterinary Clinic. She has been with us for 3 months now and is one of our amazing veterinary assistants. Melissa has been in the veterinary field for over 5 years and is currently enrolled as a student to earn her veterinary technician degree. She thrives on learning new things so that she can best help your pet. Here she is with two of her furry crew members, Blue and Perry.

As a reminder, West Vet Idaho Falls (phone number: (208)552-0662)is available through the holidays for any pet emergency you may experience. If you need any medications for your pet, please call us at 208-557-3113 as soon as possible so we have ample time to prepare those for you.

We wanted to take a moment to point out the importance of diagnostics in particular to oral health. We recently saw a patient for a second opinion who was still exhibiting discomfort in her mouth. She had had a dental cleaning a month prior at another clinic but no dental radiographs were performed. These are the dental radiographs we took that show severe dental disease. She ended up needing multiple extractions. Dental radiographs are very important and this is why they are included with all of our dental procedures. This past weekend, the Eagle Rock Veterinary Clinic team celebrated the holidays and the end of the year. The night included fantastic food, an old west murder mystery party game, and gift exchanges. The team had so much fun and we can’t wait for our next event together.

Here at Eagle Rock Veterinary Clinic, we are always striving to provide the best and most updated care. With that goal in mind, we have recently added an ultrasound machine and can now offer some ultrasound services such as confirming a pregnancy. We can typically ultrasound for puppies/kittens at about 30 days gestation. Call us if you have any questions about this service or if you would like to schedule an appointment. Dr. Seda has training scheduled to expand her ultrasound skill set and offer even more ultrasound services very soon.

We are in the midst of the holidays and many of us like to include our pets in the festivities. We wanted to take the time to share some foods that may not be safe for your pets.

Good morning. Dr. Seda managed to catch one of the nasty bugs going around and is ill. Unfortunately, she will not be accepting patients today. Our wonderful staff will still be available for some tech appointments, refills of medications, answering questions, and scheduling of appointments. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please enjoy a picture of Dr. Seda's cat who is such a good sport.

We will be closed on Thanksgiving day and the day after. WestVet Idaho Falls will be open 24/7 over the holiday for any emergency you may have. We will resume normal business hours on Monday, November 27th. Have a safe and happy holiday!
