Happy International Zoo & Aquarium Educators Day!

Today, we’re celebrating our team that makes learning at Idaho Falls Zoo a wild adventure! Meet our amazing educators who bring the zoo to life every day!

Kayla is our zoo educator, from toddlers at Zoo Tots to school groups on Zoomobiles and summer campers, she makes sure every young explorer has a blast while learning about all of our animals and more!

Kathryn, our volunteer extraordinaire, coordinates our amazing volunteers, including the Junior Zoo Crew, ensuring every helping hand is part of our zoo’s mission.

Bethanie is our curator of education! Bethanie is the mastermind behind our engaging programs and informative signage, ensuring visitors of all ages leave with a deeper understanding of the animal kingdom.

Happy World Lemur Day from Idaho Falls Zoo! Let's give a huge shout-out to our cute Lemur crew as they explore their special earth-themed piñatas filled with goodies made just for them.

🐾 First up, our Ring-Tailed Lemur squad: Tupal, Maky, Aro, Tana, and Frack! Did you know they live in a matriarchal society? That’s right, these ladies run the show! Girls lead the way in the ring-tailed world, making them one of the few dominant-sex lemurs out there. 💁‍♀️

🐾 Then there’s our Collared Lemurs, Gatsby and Odette. They’re a bit more chill when it comes to dominance, making their dynamic truly unique! No one Lemur is in charge here, just teamwork!

🐾 Last but not least, meet George and Ima, our Red Ruffed Lemurs. Fun fact: These lemurs have one of the loudest calls in the animal kingdom! You can hear them from far, far away—talk about making an entrance!

Lemurs are some of the most unique and endangered species on the planet! When you visit the zoo or purchase a membership, you're helping support vital conservation efforts that work to preserve lemur habitats and protect them from extinction.
