If you’ve been following us here on Facebook, you’ve likely fallen in love with the one and only Finley. Today, we’re honored to share his incredible journey with you.🥰
Finley’s story began in 2020 when he arrived as a spirited 1-year-old—a bundle of energy with a heart full of potential and some quirks that needed extra patience and care. Over the years, Finley was adopted and returned a few times, each time making his way back to us. In August of 2023, at 4 years old, he came back once more, and we knew we couldn’t give up on him.❤️
That’s when our amazing Behavior and Enrichment Coordinator, Rachel, stepped in with unwavering determination to help Finley grow into the best version of himself. He poured his heart into every training session, learning an impressive list of skills: place cues, nose work, waiting at doorways, spinning, jumping through hoops, rolling over, taking a bow, solving puzzles, army crawling, and even raising his paw when asked, “Who’s handsome?” (Of course, it’s him!).😜
But it wasn’t just about the training—Finley’s transformation came from the love of our community. One incredible volunteer, Eric, made it his mission to show Finley the world outside our shelter walls. Together, they went on countless mountain hikes, town strolls, and adventures, giving Finley the confidence and calm he needed to truly thrive.
