To my human moms & dads, this is what happens to my paws when you take me out in the scorching sun ☀️ when the pavement is so hot !

Remember I sweat through my paws, so in this heat I can’t get rid of my sweat as my paws are burning. Missing my walk won’t harm me. Please let me just relax indoors and take me out when the sun is down🐾

If you see someone walking their dog on hot pavement, ask them to take off their shoes for the remainder of their walk home. Maybe then they'll understand.

Thank you to 8 Below Husky Rescue for this valuable advice 🙏

🚗🐾 Does your dog get queasy in the car? Some dogs show it by drooling, looking miserable, or even vomiting all over your back seat.

There can be many causes for dog sickness, but the good news is that many dogs get used to car rides and outgrow the problem. While you’re working on desensitizing your dog to the car, here are some tummy-soothing herbs that may ease their nausea:

🌿 Ginger: Known for its anti-nausea effects. You can make ginger tea from the fresh root and pour it over food, or use a tincture for convenience.

🌿 Peppermint: Calms the stomach muscles and helps ease nausea. Steep dried herb in hot water for an infusion and give based on your dog's size.

🌿 Catnip: Not just for cats! Catnip can help calm your dog's nerves and settle their stomach. Add a tincture to their water.

🌿 Fennel: Great for digestive issues and a good alternative to peppermint. Use a tincture and give based on your dog's body weight.

🌿 Dill: Works like an anti-gas remedy to reduce stomach upset. Make dill seed tea and give it to your dog before heading out.

It’s that time of year again when fireworks are getting set to go off, and summertime thunderstorms are prevalent. Is your pup ready? Loud noises may scare dogs to the point they run off, hide in fear, or become unable to function. Their survival instincts tell them to do so.

This behavior can be avoided by simply socializing your puppy to loud noises and sounds while they are young, keeping each interaction short and positive. Start now, well before the fireworks are going off. Find anything that makes noise and introduce your pup to it one sound at a time. Be creative, but make sure not to do too much at once. Mix it up throughout the week and ALWAYS give high-value rewards when the loud sounds come out. Stay happy and calm as that will help your pup do the same. When you are calm, they are more likely to be calm. Set your puppy up for success by dropping items on carpet first to dampen sounds, then varying heights once you move to dropping items on hard floors so that the sounds start out quietly.

Positive reinforcement is a powerful tool in training your puppy to be comfortable with loud noises. Have a friend help you. They can drop the item while you start as far away from the sound as possible, treating your puppy once they hear the sound. Gradually work your way closer and closer to the sound. Do NOT try to scare your puppy. If at any point your puppy stops taking the treat, they are too nervous. So, create space, lessen the sound so it is not as loud, and then gradually build up to getting closer and closer to the loud noises. Also, NEVER force your pup to investigate or move closer. If they startle, simply act confidently and move past whatever is scaring them. Reward them for looking to you for a treat or toy. TIP: I like to play games my puppy loves while the noise is going on around them to keep them relaxed and happy. Play is a powerful motivator in training!

There are many ways to socialize your puppy to loud noises. Bang pots and pans, shoot cap guns, wave tinfoil around your pup. Try playing rock music at different volumes, simulating car doors shutting, vacuums, paper shredders, engines of: lawn mowers, snow blowers, 4-wheelers or motorcycles, CD’s with thunder recordings, chimes, bells, drums, etc. These activities, when done in short and positive sessions, can help your puppy become familiar with a variety of loud sounds. Remember, it’s the quickest way to build success. Do not try to socialize your puppy to every sound at once.

On the night of the actual fireworks or thunder storm, plan to stay a fair distance away from the chaos, depending on how much you could socialize your pup beforehand. Have a plan B ready to go in case your pup shows signs of fear. We do not want the night to be a negative experience AT ALL. For example, if your pup is fearful outside in the dark with loud noises and crowds of people, move inside or drive a few blocks away where the sounds may still be heard but not as loud. If a storm is happening, ensure your puppy is with you inside the house. Play their favorite game or offer high-value rewards to redirect their focus onto something positive. You know your pup best, so be observant of how they are acting and do your best to keep them calm and confident!

These are some red flags to watch out for! Please be cautious! It absolutely irritates me to the core! Especially when people will come on my page and try to direct you to another page. BIG RED FLAG!! a reputable breeder will NOT go on another breeders page and link you to another. A reputable breeder will directly refer you to another reputable breeder. When you see cheap, RUN! You have to stop and look at what a reputable breeder does. They put heart soul and hundreds of hrs into their babies. Sleepless nights and tons of cleaning. So much more to go on the list. Any good reputable breeder will agree with me. The breeder friends I have, I call family! Help each other out.

JUST A REMINDER, TO ALL DOG OWNERS.

⚠️🚙⚠️ Despite the warnings, hundreds of dogs in the UK die every year after being left in a hot car. Someone you know may need to read this very important message. ⚠️🚙⚠️

SIX MINUTES is all it takes for a dog to overheat in a hot car.

Your dog could suffer serious injury or die in a matter of minutes if left alone in a car.

• The temperature inside a closed vehicle left in the sun can double within 12 minutes.

• At least 75% of the temperature increase in a closed vehicle occurs within 5 minutes of closing the vehicle, and at least 89% of the temperature increase occurs within 15 minutes of closing the vehicle.

• Temperatures exceeding 104˚ F can lead to death or serious injury for the occupants.

• Temperatures in a closed vehicle sitting in the hot sun can reach 160˚F and above. An animal will suffer immeasurably and may die before the temperature reaches 150˚F.

• Even when parked in the shade, the vehicle temperatures can exceed 104˚C.

• Leaving windows down more than 2 inches on an unattended vehicle will not prevent a car from reaching extreme temperatures.

• Even if the animal is revived, they can die due to severe internal organ damage.

Your dog trusts you to have their best interest at heart ALWAYS.
Please don’t risk their safety.

If you are not taking your dog inside your destination with you, PLEASE leave them at home where they are comfortable and safe.

I'm going to post this because occasionally we get crazy comments regarding the prices of our puppies.

We do not charge a fraction of what we've put into our puppies and what I invested when I chose to get quality over price. We could charge more, but we don't.

There is a reason our dogs are “so expensive”, these are not dogs that just sit in our yard, eat ol'roy and when the female is in heat, she magically becomes pregnant while we are off living our life. 63 days later, we don't come home to a pile of cash born in the dirt and cold outside. Where we wait 8 weeks doing the bare minimum and send them off into the world to cash in. No that’s not the case here. You pay for my time. My time spent is valuable to me, and honestly I don’t get paid enough for all I do.
But hey, it’s my passion. I thrive off the love and compassion I get in return

We, along with other reputable breeders, spend tens of thousands each year to care for our dogs, quality food, care, and vet bills and supplies. When we have puppies, we are with them 24/7. They don't leave our sight for the first 4 weeks, and we continue to be extra vigilant about their care and health the entire 8 plus weeks they are with us.

We monitor weights and feeding (every 2-3 hours for 28 days) we bottle feed, we tube feed, sometimes having to go the extra mile with antibiotics, fluids, and other medications on a puppy who is not doing the best (and no most vets have no idea how to properly care for or help us with neonates!)

We routinely put our needs aside to ensure the safety of the puppies, sometimes to the point of complete exhaustion and sickness for ourselves.

We cancel our lives: vacations, events, weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays. Everything is on hold when we have puppies.

We are there 24/7 for our adopters for life. We are family once you choose our puppies.

We endure losses and hardships , happiness, and success behind the scenes of these perfect babies. Breeding is no joke. It's a lifestyle. A passion. A dream to better the breed.

When we don't have puppies, we still have daily upkeep and care of our dogs, family, and home. We also utilize this time for training and further educating ourselves so we can be the best we possibly can be.

It's not an easy job, mentally or physically, but we love what we do and we do it to ensure healthy, stable and well adjusted puppies are going to their new families who have waited and dreamed about them.
