✨Long & Short Term Openings Available✨
✨Copeland Farms includes a 200x80 heated indoor arena with mirrors and premium footing, an outdoor dressage arena, an outdoor jumping arena and a 20 acre cross country field with water, banks, ditches, and jumps ranging from starter to preliminary height. Our facility has a 55 stall barn with great air flow, large pastures, and private turnouts. There is a heated grooming and tack area along with full time staff that live on site. Our staff are attentive & qualified employees. We have large grass pastures and smaller private or semi-private turnouts for those that cannot go out in groups. The Luce Line trail is located right out of our driveway for miles and miles of joy riding. The indoor arena has a heated viewing lounge.
✨We offer a variety of lessons from the beginner rider to the competitive athlete and have a great group of in house instructors that can suite your needs, whatever they may be. Whether you want to improve your daily riding or compete in dressage, jumpers or Eventing, or even Western - we have it all! Our multiple different instructors have a strong focus on correct basics, safety and well rounded horses and riders.
✨We love what a barn like Copeland can bring to the community, giving young kids a place to learn responsibility, adults a place they can enjoy their hobby and serious competitors a place to train. We offer something for everyone and safety is our number one priority. We host fun schooling shows & clinics, as well as throw open houses - inviting everyone to our home.

DRESSAGE TRIVIA:

Do you know the answer to this "CORNER CONUNDRUM?" 🤔

How deep are you supposed to ride into your corners?

The answer is, it depends, and here's why:👇

Information is VAGUE out there! But according to the USEF Rule Book, “Corners should be ridden as one-quarter of a volte appropriate to the level of the test (10 meters at training-First Levels, 8 meters at Second-Fourth Levels and 6 meters above Fourth Level).”
[USEF Rule Book DR109]

But in reality, it depends on the development of both the horse and the rider. And in my humble opinion, this is the BEST answer. 🙌
It is far better to ride a good corner that will help support you and your horse for the next movement than to try to jam yourself into a black hole 😉

So definitely strive for the USEF guidelines, but only go as deep as you and your horse can without disturbing the rhythm, balance, and harmony.
