Did you know that September is one of our dental special months?
Here are some fun facts about dental health in your pets
1. Dental disease is by far the most common condition we see among pets
2. Tartar build-up / bacteria from your pets dirty teeth can spread to their heart, kidneys, and liver and cause organ damage.
3. Bad breath is NOT normal. This comes from tartar build-up as well as bacterial overgrowth in their mouth
4. Ways to help your pets oral health at home is brushing teeth, feeding kibble that helps scrub plaque off while they chew, and giving dental treats with the VOHC seal on them.

The dreaded p**p sample....
We know bringing us a p**p sample isn't fun, but it is so important! Intestinal parasites can cause a list of health problems for you pets, both dogs and cats!! Some problems that can occur are: lethargy, diarrhea, vomiting, weight loss, potbelly appearance, and even anemia if bad enough. The tricky part is that sometimes there are no symptoms at all! Not only can these sneaky intestinal parasites cause health issues for your pet, but some of those intestinal parasites are even able to infect humans. In order to best protect your pets, and yourself, we recommend checking a f***l sample yearly.
Do you know how old your pet is in human years?! Pets age much faster than humans do!
Here at All Creatures we want to provide the best care for your pets so they can live their healthiest and happiest lives possible. The best way to do this is to have frequent preventative health exams.
Call us today to schedule a preventative health exam!

Silas was such a good boy during his visit that Dr. Courtney had to give him another treat before he left!
A kind citizen brought a fawn to the clinic that had been badly injured. Dr. Hellmann, Dr. Courtney, and their amazing staff were quick to take action! The fawn was in bad shape when initially arriving at the clinic and is still not fully out of the woods. The doctors and staff were able to stabilize the fawn, provide initial medical care, and set up transport to a deer rehabilitation facility. We hope this baby heals well and can be released back into the wild when fully stable and healthy.
Friendly reminder that now is the time to consider getting anxiety medication for our friends that get anxious during fireworks. ACVC will be closed July 4th and July 5th.
How often do you check your pet for ticks? Do you know where to look? This image points out the most common places for ticks to hide on your dogs and cats.
Ticks can be brought into your house from your pet. Once a tick attaches, they transmit numerous diseases like Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, and Anaplasmosis. These diseases can cause life-long health problems for your pets and humans.
Regular checking in the common areas for ticks on your pet can help keep them safe. The most important and most efficient way to protect your pets is to have them on monthly tick prevention. Preventatives ensure that the tick will be eliminated before they can transmit harmful diseases.
Feel free to call and ask about tick prevention for your pets!

Hello Summer!!! ☀️
Since today is the first day of summer, here are some tips for keeping your pets safe all summer long.
1. Always make sure your pets have access to clean, fresh water.
2. Do not leave pets unattended outdoors or in a vehicle. Temperatures rise quickly and this can cause your pet to have a heatstroke. Signs to watch for are excessive panting, drooling, rapid pulse and fever.
3. Make sure patient is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention and up to date on vaccines.
4. Most lawn/garden products can be toxic to pets. Make sure the plants or fertilizers your pet has access to are not toxic.
5. Keep pets on leash outdoors to avoid accidents.
We hope you and your pets have a great summer! We are here if you have any questions or need anything! (859) 356-0505

Does your pet get anxious while fireworks happen outside? If so, now is the time to start preparing for Independence Day.
You can try plugging in Feliway pheromone diffusers to help lessen stress for our feline friends or Adaptil diffusers for our canine friends. Sometimes pheromone diffusers are not enough and your pets need additional help.
We encourage you to call and schedule a time to talk to our doctors about options to help decrease the stress for the upcoming holiday. (859) 356-0505

Did you know that we offer a "Free Vaccines for Life" plan for your pet?
In this program you will receive free core vaccinations for the life of your pet by bringing them in for bi-annual examinations. It is believed that one year in your pet's life is approximately 5 years in a human's life. Due to this, we believe that it is extremely important for your pets to have a physical exam from one of our veterinarians twice a year. Only by physically examining your pets are we able to provide better preventative medicine so we can help your pets have a long healthy life.
If you want more information about this program and what other perks are included, please feel free to call us at (859) 356-0505, email us at [email protected], or message us here on Facebook!

We have some exciting news!! Does your dog suffer from arthritis pain? Have a hard time getting up from laying down? Trouble doing steps? There is a new monthly injection out that is doing amazing things for the few we have started on it. It does not affect their liver like other pain meds and is just once a month no more struggling giving meds everyday. This video is of Letty my personal old girl that was so painful she was barely getting around. We also have the injection for cats that have arthritic pain. It's giving monthly as well. Please call us with any questions.
