Why I do what I do!
I have had pets of all shapes and sizes my entire life, started working in the veterinary field in 2001, and have been a Certified Veterinary Technician for more than 10 years. Pet sitting was my second job while I was going to college, but I kept thinking – how can any job be this easy or this much fun? My philosophy is truly “if you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life”, and I would like to think that I treat my client’s pets and property the way I would want mine treated if the tables were turned. Along with pet sitting, dog walking, and basic pet care, I also will bring in mail, water plants, open and shut blinds, turn lights on and off - things that make your home look more “lived in” in case you are away for an extended period of time. I make a point to never spend less that 30 minutes at your residence to make sure your pet(s) has a bit of companionship and play - I’ve even brought some of my own cat’s toys, catnip and treats to my client’s home just to engage their cats in a little play time if needed.
