Sure has been quiet around here! Did y'all know we also raise quail? Now that the pups are all gone....we just had some hatch :) If you live nearby, hit me up for some quail eggs. Not only are they delicious, but healthy for you as well! (and yes, our dogs LOVE them....and will come running at the sound of one being peeled for them LOL)

This is what it’s like to be an IN HOME breeder 😂😂 The other mama dogs hear the new pups and wish they could come help Marigold 🥰. It’s one big family,and we would not have it another way. No dogs are in a building or kennel out back, no, they are usually stretched out beside us or nearby-needing to be a part of everyday life 😍

Maltipoo pups 🥰

When I am questioned if the dogs REALLY NEED another toy…….my answer is always YES! 😝😝🤣🤣. Look how happy Chardonnay is!

Introducing little red “Poppy” AKC colorbred red poodle. I call these the “Ferraris” of poodles! (AKC did not recognize this red color until the 1980’s so it’s why it’s not as common as other colors.) Both parents have tested “clear” on the poodle panel. DNA color and traits indicate high red intensity of 9. We will be very picky about who takes this little pup home! We have started ENS exercises at 3 days old and will continue with our usual socialization process along with a few extra things as she is a solo pup ☺️. Look at her beautiful coat coming in already !!

Our Story

We are a small family with a love for small, non shedding, hypoallergenic dogs. I, Wendy, have been allergic to dogs all my life, but that hasn’t kept me from owning them! From mutts, to show dogs, to rescues, lap dogs, counter surfers and couch potatoes, I’ve owned them all :) In all of the years of owning a dog, I have been especially critical of owning a good representation of the breed or the mix. Appearance, temperament, and health are important and matter when you’re adding a member to your family.

Presently we have 5 dogs in our family. Reagan is the patriarch. He is an AKC registered tiny toy poodle of champion lineage, weighs 5#, is 16yo, and starting to show his age. We know his days are dwindling, but he still gets around and acts like he’s one of the younger dogs. He was our stud dog over 10 years ago and has remained “intact” even though he has not been used for breeding in the last 10 years. He has been very clean in the house, and unlike a lot of people think......male dogs do not lift their leg everywhere in the house! LOL.

After the passing of Reagan’s mate, we couldn’t go long without having another little furry friend. This time we fell in love with a cute ball of fluff-maltipoo Chardonnay. Chardonnay was nicknamed “Happy” by the breeder. Her tail constantly wags as she has no enemies and loves everyone. She became a mama for the first time May, 2020 and surprised us at how well she took to having pups to tend to. She has been quite the diva dog as she goes for car rides, doggie sno cones, pampering, and of course a spot right on the bed next to our daughter. Since she was a bouncing, happy puppy, we felt sorry for old Reagan not being able to keep up with a puppy.....so we decided to get a playmate for Chardonnay. “Char” was potty trained and we were all set......and then got another puppy to start it all over again!

Introducing our 3rd pup....Rose’. Sticking with the poodle mix, I’ve called Rose’ a “Poo-Shih-Poo.” Mama dog was a Shih Tzu poodle mix, and daddy was a beautiful blue merle poodle. Rose’ carries that blue merle color gene as well as blue eye gene! We thought we could never have a pup as sweet and happy as Chardonnay, but Rose’ has proved us wrong! She is very submissive, loves to roll over for a belly rub, play with her ball, and sleep snuggled right up to you with it. She will be a first time mama in June 2020 and we can’t wait to see what color pups she has!

Well, obviously Reagan is too old to be a daddy dog, so our intent was to get a new male poodle. I wanted a well-bred, good looking pup that was AKC registered....and...the kicker....the rarest/hardest color to find in poodles-the deep, dark red. I was finally able to find a breeder in MI with a male pup. They guaranteed the color not to fade as it was a “color bred red” poodle. Of course this seemed like a long ways to go for a pup, so before putting down a deposit, I decided to exhaust all efforts to find one closer. In my search, I “stumbled upon” a deep red female that a breeder had leftover from a sale that fell through. I had no plans to get a female, but when I saw the picture of her, I decided to “take a look” and see what she was like. Well....you know what happened! There was no hesitation and we came home with Magnolia! Magnolia is not only sweet, but dainty, passive, and very attentive. She is the first to hear a car in the driveway or to smell smoke, or see a plane in the sky. She is a quick learner and loves sleeping on the couch pillows. She needed no training to walk on a leash and for a little bit I considered putting her in the show ring. (I used to show dogs several years ago.)

So back to our little guy....even though he came at a premium price, I knew that I wanted this handsome little man for our new stud dog. He came with “clear” genetic health tests and made the trip south with a fellow poodle lover-my sister from Michigan :) One of his first stops on the way was Chick Fil A! He still remembers sis, and he too, is super smart and teachable. We have dubbed him the “baby” because he was the last pup that we got. He’s a bit spoiled and prefers to be on a lap or picked up. He loves shoes but doesn’t chew them up or destroy them! LOL He has been super inquisitive and sweet with the new pups and seems to know that they are his! He is one of our door welcomers :)

We love to share our passion for these sweet, lovable, non-shedding dogs with others as we put up pictures and videos. I’ve been raising dogs for over 40 years and love to help people find the perfect pup for their home as well as help with the process.
