********Wiggle Butt Wednesday---SPECIAL EDITION*********

I have to do it early... well cause I'm going to a terrible place tomorrow... the dentist. To have a tooth yanked from my head with plyers. Hopefully you guys feel sorry for me. I'm feeling extremely sorry for myself.

*******************************************************************
Max was surrendered to a local vet tech by a woman that I have blocked on social media and our landlines. She has surrendered numerous dogs to me and this local vet tech. Shes a breeder that has lots of dogs in lots of different houses.

All of the dogs she needs to surrender are Major Medical. And by that I mean a minimum of 5K to fix. After we fix her dogs up. She claims I've stole them... even though she's brought some of them here, signed a surrender form, etc. She then blasts all over Facebook that we profit off of her dogs... not sure how that would be possible when our adoption fees aren't even 10% of what her dogs have cost. And demands them back. Which obviously doesn't happen.

Then a couple of months will go by and she will need to surrender another one. They usually end up getting to me.. somehow so blocking her did no good... not that I don't want to help her dogs but the stress her mouth puts on the rescue is almost too much. Shes calls the store, cussed my employees out and bombarding our social media with threats. Even had the nerve to tell me I caused her a heart attack because I wouldn't give her the last "Max" back. Yes that's right... a lot of her dogs are named the same.. cause she share vet records with the other dogs in her kennel.. so she has vet records when AC (Animal Control) comes knockin.... so everyone is Max and Laila.

My Max... the one below he's actually loved here. He's an individual.. and the ONLY Max we have. He has a bilateral perineal hernia. His organs in the pelvic and abdominal region are displaced. He has swelling on his side because of his pelvic diaphragm has weakened and they are being pushed over. He will die if we do not give him this surgery. I have tried to push the surgery as long as I could to save up the 6K. It is time now!!! He has a lot of bleeding!

So this Wiggle Butt Wednesday Raffle is a 50/50- A customer has donated $500.00 for me to do a 50/50. 50% goes to Max and 50% goes to the donor that wins the WAFFLE Spin!!! So come out and donate $10 to MAX for 1 chance to win $250.00 or donate $25 and get yourself 3 Chances to win $250.00!

The spin will be held Live on Thursday at 12pm!

Donate $15 for 1 chance or $25 for 3 chances to win!

When Precious came in she had ear infections so bad she had a head tilt. Those have been treated and she is turning into a playful puppy. Similar to Bertha she is a puppy that needs to learn some manners. But she is well on her way. Precious has a discounted adoption fee... in case your on the fence! Shes.... well... shes Precious guys!!!!

Precious is estimated to be 8 months or so (as of March 2024). She weighs around 30 lbs. Precious is a happy puppy with a lot of energy and very playful. Older dogs may not appreciate her excitement. She would be okay with other dogs or being an only dog. We don’t know how she’d do with cats because we haven’t been around cats with her.
We don’t know how she would do with kids under 10 either as we’ve not had little ones around her. Our youngest is 16 and she loves playing with him.
Precious does well in the car - we’ve had no issues there. She does not do well in a crate.
We tried to crate her for the night when we first got her and she struggled to calm down and she peed and pooped in her crate. Now that she’s doing better with accidents and can hold her business until the following morning, it may be worth trying to crate train her.
She gets excited around people at home, especially her people and jumps on them so need to work on manners. She’s doing ok on a leash but still pulls and takes off suddenly.
When seeing other dogs on walks, she wants to play. She’s about 80% house trained.
Because she wasn’t house trained when we got her, we walked her often at first and are now at about 4x/day. In the mornings she signals by whining and/or waking us up with a paw pat. We’ve also noticed she goes to the door and that may be a signal to go outside (we take her out when she does that) or she just wants to go outside because she loves playing on grass.
We don’t know how she would do left alone to roam the house when no one is home since we keep her in our master bathroom when we have to leave her alone. She whines and barks if left alone but settles down shortly after.
We have 2 gates that aren’t secured but just stand up to block our dog from entry into different rooms and Precious has breached both without a problem. Ha! Our dog has never even tried!
She has not jumped on any of our furniture believe or not - prefers laying on the floor by us.
We’ve not observed any guarding issues with people, food, toys, space/areas, and/or beds.
We’ve not observed separation anxiety and she seems to be ok when we’re not home. Although we’ve not left her alone longer than a few hours.
She does fine with bathing and is tolerant of having facial folds, ears, and tail pocket cleaned.
We’ve only had her nails clipped by groomer but should be ok done at home.
She likes squeaky balls and stuffed animals. LOVES going outside and rolling on the grass.
She’s still a puppy - don’t think she’s ever gone up and down stairs beyond the few steps up and down the front door.
Reaction to loud noises (thunder, fireworks, yelling, etc.)? Not tested
Know any cues or tricks? Will sit for a treat
Snores? Lightly
Snuggle interest? Not really
Energy level? Moments of high energy but mainly likes to lay around
Dominant or submissive? Not sure
Fenced yard required? Probably
Okay to live in an apartment or condo with close neighbors and be in the apartment complex dog areas which are likely to have other dogs? Yes
Reaction to strangers in and outside the home and to new situations (fearful, laid-back, anxious, happy)? She growls at strangers outside sometimes; ok with strangers in the home
Anxious? No
Long-term physical limitations or conditions? She tilts her head to the right regularly. Vet said would need a CT scan to determine cause. Also said it does not hurt her and she has full motion of neck.
Long-term medications? None
Feeding: Stella and Chewy Freeze-dried Raw Coated Kibble - Wild Caught Whitefish Recipw 1.5 cups 2 x/day plus 2 tbs of pumpkin with each meal per Vet recommendation for added fiber to help regulate her bowls;
ANY FOOD ALLERGIES None known FAVORITE TREATS: Stella and Chewy Wild Weenies beef
Unique characteristics: head tilt to right
She’s the happiest being loved on and playing on the floor with her humans. She loves going out and rolling on the grass. Still needs a little bit of work on a leash and responding when called.
Ideal home would be with another small dog to have a friend. She loves her humans and likes to follow them around so preferably at a home where she’s not left alone long hours.
If interested in Precious, send Courtney a text at the dedicated Approved Adopters number. This is not her personal cell but she will respond as quickly as possible.

I met this kid for the first time at Bullie Que he's something guys so sweet so appreciative for a bed and a bowl of food... and lemme tell you what you will get in return is not measurable. I want him so bad. I just wanna make sure the rest of his life is just as good as it is with his foster mom and dad. So if you are truly following me because you truly wanna rescue.. he's the one.

Former outdoor boy Sobek the sweetheart is ready for his forever home and excited to live inside the house with his forever family.
***If you have NOT YET BEEN APPROVED TO ADOPT, PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION ONLINE AT WWW.BULLIES2theRESCUE.COM

Do you have a cushy orthopedic bed, lots of wild weenies and, ideally, a one-story house to make it easy for this vision limited guy to get around? Would you like to show Sobek that life can be good, and get to live with an absolute sweetheart of a dog? Then this may be the guy for you! Sobek came to us as a stray, and his issues show he was not used to an easy life. But we've attended to what we could, and while he has limited vision and an arthritic elbow, he's doing so much better and, best of all, is starting to realize that humans will take care of him and life is good! He loves bully sticks and a good couch cuddle, as well as a cushy and comfy dog bed to call his own (and while he's not a constant snorer when he gets going, you'll know there is a bulldog in the house!). He is so easy going: dogs, cats, new people, loud sounds.... no worries! He's already learned "crate" and goes to his bowl at meal time, and is doing well at potty training, though he'll need some extra patience as he gets the hang of all the rules. He's a sweet, gentle soul, looking for a forever that can give him the love and comfort he deserves. Is it you?

Good with Dogs? Yes. Sobek is good with his foster sibling dogs but he would also be okay with being the only dog.

Good with Cats? He hasn’t been around cats a lot but when he has been he has been mostly curious.

Good with Kids over 6? Yes

Behavior while riding in a vehicle? Sobek loves car rides but he needs a little assistance with getting in the car.

Manners: Good. He’s charming. Sobek’s resilience and sweet nature given his circumstances are beyond words. He is a sweet gentle soul and has so much love to give. His little woos for treats when we are in the kitchen are heartmelting.

Walks well on a harness and leash? Yes, Sobek does not mind a harness and leash at all and he doesn’t pull but given his age and arthritis, he prefers to go do his business and come right back in. He loves being outside just not long walks. He doesn’t pay attention to other dogs when we are on one of those short walks. He’s very easy that way.

House trained? We are still working on potty training from ground zero has Sobek was likely an outside dog before being rescued by B2TR. At his foster home, Sobek does wonderfully when he is in his gated area and will bark to let you know it is time to go outside. He is only gated at this time because we still have some accidents once in a while when free-roaming the house. In his new home, he would need to continue with potty training and would need some time to adjust to his new surroundings as his eyesight is very limited. There may be a few bumps here and there but he is getting around very well in his foster home.

Crate trained? Yes, and given his limited eyesight, we have not attempted to leave the home without Sobek being crated or in his gated area. He can knock down baby gates if not secured but not aggressively. He just wants to be wherever you are.

Likes to be on the furniture? Like we said, he’s easy. Sobek enjoys the occasional cuddle on the couch but is also perfectly happy in his dog bed on the floor near you.

Are there any resource-guarding issues with guarding people, food, toys, space/areas, and/or beds? Sobek can be a little protective over his food, but he’s not aggressive. He does great waiting his turn for treats with the other dogs and does not try to steal treats from others when it is not his turn. However, he can be protective when it comes to his actual food and bowl at feeding time so he’ll be best fed separately (which honestly is standard practice for our fosters in most of their foster homes).

Separation Anxiety? None. Sobek typically sleeps in his crate when no one is home.

Bathing behavior? Tolerant of having facial folds, ears, and tail pocket cleaned? No issues with bathing or cleaning. Having his tail pocket cleaned is not his favorite but he’s okay. He doesn’t even mind being dried with the blow-dryer.

Behavior while having nails trimmed? Dremel or clipped? Does not mind. We have only used the clippers but will be trying the Dremel soon.

Favorite type of toys? Hard toys are his favorite and he loves his Benebone fish bone shaped chew.

Favorite activity? At the moment his favorite activity is sleeping but we have begun seeing him be more interested in playing with chew toys. Give him a bully stick and he is on cloud nine for a good little bit.

Good with stairs? No, due to his limited vision, he is very cautious about stairs and usually will not even attempt them. He is good with the one step on our porch and at the door but nothing more than that. In the past few days, he has become curious about upstairs and with work, it is something that he may become comfortable with but ideally, he would be best in a home where he could avoid many stairs.

Reaction to loud noises (thunder, fireworks, yelling, etc.)? None

Know any cues or tricks? Sobek knows “crate” and to go to his bowl when it is time to eat.

Snores? Yes but who doesn’t love a good bulldog snore. He doesn’t snore every time but when he does you know you have a bulldog in your home.

Snuggle interest? His snuggle interest at the moment is low but is slowly learning more and more about what cuddles are all about and enjoying it.

Energy level? Low

Dominant or submissive? When Sobek arrived at his foster home he was completely shut down and it has taken some time for his personality to start to show. Based on what we have observed thus far, I would say that he is more submissive. (Doggie Shrink Warning: This is not a personality trait, it is a descriptive term that is used to describe an interaction between two individuals in a single social interaction. It should not be used to label any animal, regardless of species, because bad TV has given the general public the wrong idea of how these dogs must be handled.)

Fenced yard required? No

Okay to live in an apartment or condo with close neighbors and be in the apartment complex dog in areas that are likely to have other dogs? Yes

Reaction to strangers in and outside the home and to new situations (fearful, laid-back, anxious, happy)? Laid back and typically uninterested.

Long-term physical limitations or conditions? Long-term medications? Glaucoma in the left eye with no visibility in that eye, limited vision in the right eye, and arthritis in his left elbow. Sobek will need to be kept on an anti-inflammatory to assist with arthritis but no other medications at this time.

Feeding: Sobek eats Stella and Chewy wild caught blend and gets 1 1/2 cups twice a day. Wild Weenies for treats. Sobek’s mantra? Who says you can’t have 10 wild weenies in a day?
REMINDER: Bulldogs should not eat winged proteins such as chicken, turkey, duck, etc., no grains, no sweet or regular potatoes, and need to be kept on a grain-free, limited ingredient diet to reduce allergic reactions such as itching, yeast, ear infections, hot spots, interdigital cysts, etc.

Sobek was found as a stray in South Carolina and was pulled from the shelter by the B2TR.

Age: 8

Weight: 60

Good with Kids over 6? How does your foster show he/she likes or does not like kids? (Sorry, we do not adopt to families with kids under 6.) She has not had any issues with my teen daughter.
Behavior while riding in a vehicle? Any concerning issues like stress, panting, can’t settle, needs a crate, etc.,? She loves to ride and see everything.
Manners: (ex: Good, Needs work, Humps, etc. Please describe behaviors) Miss Scarlet is a sweetheart, but very timid/scared of things until she gets use to it.
Walks well on a harness and leash? Pulls? Until being rescued she had never been on a harness or a leash, in the week I’ve had her she has done wonderful. She needs work from adopter, but I believe it won’t take long
What does your foster do when seeing other dogs on walks? She stops and looks
House trained? How do they signal they need to go outside to potty? If not 100%, how close are they to being fully house-trained? She is almost potty trained, she will get up and walk to back door area.
Crate trained? Yes
Is your foster okay to not be crated and out in the house when no one is home? No left her in crate when I’m gone. She does fine if I leave her out and go upstairs to work.
Feelings about space restrictions? (ex: Crate aggressive? Knocks down baby gates? Whines or barks?) not shown any.
Likes to be on the furniture? She prefers her crate or doggie bed
Are there any resource-guarding issues with guarding people, food, toys, space/areas, and/or beds? Is the guarding behavior directed at other dogs or people? None that I’ve encountered
Separation Anxiety? How does your foster react when you are not home? She sleeps in her crate.
Bathing behavior? Tolerant of having facial folds, ears, and tail pocket cleaned? She is a total sweetheart and doesn’t care.
Behavior while having nails trimmed? Dremel or clipped? Does a professional groomer need to trim the nails or can they be done safely at home? Not had her nails done.
Favorite type of toys? She is learning about toys and bones since she hasn’t been exposed to them.
Favorite activity? Sleeping
Good with stairs? Yes, but she is a bull, and will go up if she wants. lol
Reaction to loud noises (thunder, fireworks, yelling, etc.)? Loud noises will startles her until she realizes she is not in harm.
Know any cues or tricks? None
Snores? Yes, but not to loud
Snuggle interest? Nope
Energy level? Low
Dominant or submissive? (Doggie Shrink Warning: This is not a personality trait, it is a descriptive term that is used to describe an interaction between two individuals in a single social interaction. It should not be used to label any animal, regardless of species, because bad TV has given the general public the wrong idea of how these dogs must be handled.) Dominant
Fenced yard required? No, but she will need to be on leash at all times. I think she will take off and not come back.
Okay to live in an apartment or condo with close neighbors and be in the apartment complex dog areas which are likely to have other dogs? Yes
Reaction to strangers in and outside the home and to new situations (fearful, laid-back, anxious, happy)? Curious, will go to her bed until she realizes she is safe
Long-term physical limitations or conditions? None
Long-term medications? None
Feeding: REMINDER: Bulldogs should not eat winged proteins such as chicken, turkey, duck, etc., no grains, no sweet or regular potatoes, and need to be kept on a grain-free, limited ingredient diet to reduce allergic reactions such as itching, yeast, ear infections, hot spots, interdigital cysts, etc.
She currently is in Stella Chewy white fish. She gets a cup in the morning and at night, however she eats when she wants. She is not food nor treat motivated.
Unique characteristics (heart-shaped birthmark, crooked ears, swirly butt, etc.)
What would be your foster dog’s mantra? I’m a sweetie and just need time with lots of love..
What are some of the great things about your foster and is there anything he/she needs to work on or have continued training for in their new home? Scarlett is a true sweetheart, so easy going and is coming more and more comfortable with the world she is learning to know and experience.
Is there anything else that Courtney should know to choose the best home and best match for your foster? Scarlett would thrive best in a home with someone who stays at home or can take her to work with them. The more she is with a person the more they can continue to build up her self confidence. She is a bully, and at times it shows, which I love, but feel that if someone isn’t familiar with the breed and their stubbornness, it may not work. The adopter needs to also be very patient. She is going to be an amazing addition to anyone’s home.

ROCKY!!!!!!!!

Update from Rocky’s foster family: He’s been with us almost a year. We’ve got him on a routine, clear skin and ears, and he’s a much nicer dog than he was when we got him. His one behavioral issue is getting out of the car but if we use a crate and get him out, it takes 10 seconds and he snarls til the crate is on the ground and he’s good. He’s just so tired of our dogs, poor guy. He wants all the attention and it’s hard for him to understand why he can’t always have it. Anyway, he’s learning how to be a dog and he will be very sweet to someone who can just love him all the time.

Rocky is a medium-sized 4 year old English bulldog. He is a low energy, gentle fella and he loves nothing more than to find a comfy chair or couch corner where he can snooze - as long as his people are also nearby. Rocky is all bulldog in attitude and is as stubborn as he is cute. He holds himself with the bearing of a lion and he prefers to rule the roost - he tolerates other dogs to a point, but he prefers to be the only dog. Routine is very important to him and he thrives when he can stick to one. Rocky is recovering from suspected abuse and neglect and has some minor mobility issues related to his past treatment. He is still learning how to be a treasured and included part of the family. Rocky will do best in a home with adults who are consistent, gentle, and patient.

Rocky loves chairs, people, and car rides. His foster mom says, “We have 2 armchairs in the house and a wicker one on the front porch and it takes treats to lure him away and even then it doesn’t always work.” It will also take some coaxing to get Rocky to get out of the car. He’s a bull-kid who knows his own mind, what he wants, when he wants it, and where he wants it (in the chair or his mouth, depending on the moment). He’s got that bulldog attitude down. Rocky is great with other dogs but like a lot of bulldogs he doesn’t want to share his treats or chew bones. He’s 100% bull and handsome.

Rocky is a sweet boy who is definitely in his "three-nager" years. He's quiet and calm, although he has a big voice if you get him barking. Rocky will love a home where he can be with his people who have a space for him on a chair or couch (or both!) where he can snore the day away. A couple of big Benebones, a soft blanket, a handful of blueberries and the occasional b***y scratch, and he's a happy boy. Rocky will be fine as an only dog who gets all of your attention or with other dogs if he has a parent who will keep him separate when feeding and giving high value treats. Rocky will do best in a calm home with an adopter who has experience with and understands the bulldog personality.

Good with Dogs? Yes. He’s great with other dogs as long as there's no bones or treats involved. Prefers to be an only dog so he can have all the attention!

Good with Cats? Unknown

Good with Kids over 12? Great with kids and ranges from unbothered to absolutely loves them. Rocky will hump when overexcited and could easily knock over a small child.

Behavior while riding in a vehicle? Rocky LOVES car rides so much he doesn’t want to get out of the car when the ride is over. You will need a plan in place to get him out of the car such as a shady place to park with the AC running where you can keep an eye on him or leave a leash on him in the car.

Manners: Hu***ng is Rocky’s manner’s issue but we have seen lots of improvement here since he came to the rescue. He only does this when he’s overstimulated. His foster mom says, “We get up and move and leave him to settle down for 15 - 30 minutes then he calms himself. Otherwise, Rocky’s manners are pretty good. He can get a little grabby with treats but if you verbally correct him, he immediately is gentle about taking them. He also knows the cue to sit. Consistency and routine will be a great benefit to Rocky.

Walks well on leash? He pulls some and is bulldog-stubborn, but he doesn't seem to mind a walk and he ignores other dogs on walks when he sees them.

House trained? As of now Rocky is about 80% house trained. In his foster home he prefers going out to the front yard and they keep a belly band on him from 8pm for the night because he won’t yet go outside after dark.

Crate trained? We haven't put him in a crate, but have had him in a gated playpen area, and he's fine with it. He’ll whine a bit at first but he's good overall. He’s fine to be out and about in the house without being crated when no one is home.

Feelings about space restrictions: He'll cry a little if he's not with his people, but overall he doesn't mind being behind gates or in a playpen area.

Likes to be on the furniture? OMG Yes!! He loves sitting and snoozing on the furniture. Rocky especially loves armchairs or the corner of the sofa. He loves to suck and nibble and nurse (a comforting behavior) on the arms of the chairs so we keep them covered with blankets.

Are there any resource-guarding issues with guarding people, food, toys, space/areas, and/or beds? Rocky needs to be kept separate to eat and when being given treats. His foster mom also says, “He does not guard toys unless they are super high value in that moment (like a bone that he wants or a special treat) but as soon as he is no longer interested in it, we can take the toy with no problems.

Separation Anxiety? No. He occasionally cries, but he has been in his foster home alone without issues a few times.

Tolerant of having facial folds, ears, and tail pocket cleaned? Very much so. We use a Curaseb wipe and chlorhexidine/keto ear wash with round cotton pads and he has been perfect for all of it.

Bathing: Easy! Rocky loves a bath and needs a good chlorhexidine/keto wash b/c of typical bulldog skin issues.

Behavior while having nails trimmed? We've used the Dremel a bit and he tolerates it ok, once trust is built he should be fine.

Favorite type of toys? We were told he didn't like toys, but since he's been in his foster home he's discovered he likes a good Benebone, and he has a couple soft toys he likes to nurse/suckle on occasionally. He’s not a huge toy fan otherwise and really prefers a good blanket.

Favorite activity? Sleeping in his chair

Good with stairs? No, Rocky won’t use the stairs to go up or down at this time.

Reaction to loud noises (thunder, fireworks, yelling, etc)? Can startle occasionally, but hasn't been particularly bothered.

Knows any cues or tricks? He knows “sit.”

Snores? Yes

Snuggle interest? Very sweet, sometimes wants pets and loves to "corncob" your elbows and feet. Doesn't mind a snuggle, but he doesn't ask for one.

Dominant or submissive? Depends on whether he's feeling humpy or not-- largely submissive, but can get dominant/aggressive if he's feeling overstimulated or humpy. (Doggie Shrink Warning: This is not a personality trait, it is a descriptive term that is used to describe an interaction between two individuals in a single social interaction. It should not be used to label any animal, regardless of species, because bad TV has given the general public the wrong idea of how these dogs must be handled.)

Reaction to strangers in and outside the home and to new situations (fearful, laid-back, anxious, happy)? No reaction, very laid back toward people and dogs.

Long-term physical limitations or conditions? Long-term medications? None
