Y'all just look at this sweet face, How can you resist this sweetie? Oliver is a sweet boy who was found wandering around Fayetteville all alone. Oliver is absolutely adorable! He acts a little shy at first but believe me, once he knew I was there to give him some love, he enjoyed all the pets and attention.
Oliver has good leash manners. He explored the yard and took in all the sights and sounds. He seems to be pretty submissive. He just wanted someone to give him love and help him to feel secure here in the shelter environment.
Oliver sat for treats and took them ever so gently from my hands. He is calm, quiet, and chill in and out of his kennel.
As you can see, he is very photogenic and was a good model for his pics. He is a good boy who listens well and is eager to please.
Oliver would love to have a family of his own to spend his days and nights with. He's hoping that you will see his picture and come on in to meet him. Our shelter is full.

CHARLY (A411591)

Look a that big smile! Charly is the sweetest girl and she wants to share her life and love with you!
Charly is an owner surrender as the owner is not able to care for her any longer.
Charly is said to be good with kids of all ages. They say she is good with cats and she will chase them but not harm them - per owner. Dogs are unknown as they apparently had none.
She enjoys toys, playing fetch, going on walks and car rides. They tell us she is house and crate trained as well.
They tell us Charly loves being a lap baby and we can attest to that as she climbed right up into my lap for some pets and loving!
This sweet girl greeted me with tail wags and doggy kisses. She let me know right away she was ready for a kennel break.
Charly walks well on leash, stays close by your side and follows your lead.
Once outside she promptly took care of her business. She explored the yard a little while taking in all the sights and smells.
Charly was a great model for her picture. She sat right down and showed off her perfect sit! She crawled up in my lap and sat there enjoying the warm sunshine and endless back scratches.
Charly has good manners and she is eager to please. She is very loving. She is a calm and quiet girl in and out of her kennel.
Charly weighs 62 pounds is low heartworm positive. She can be easily treated so please do not let that stop you from adopting. She is not contagious to other dogs, so no worries.
Our shelter is full and this super sweetheart needs a loving home asap!

Let’s keep this precious boy out of boarding and find him a foster!

🆘 We are looking for a new foster for Ansel ASAP. His current foster is starting a new job soon and we are trying to keep him out of boarding. Ansel has a slight heart murmur and the added stress of boarding will not be good for him.

Please help!

He is a 1.5 yr old and believe he is a Mountain Cur/Yellow Lab mix at about 35lbs.

He is great with dogs and cats, loves to cuddle, fully vetted, potty trained, and loves treats! A fenced in yard would be great as well!

He would be best in a home with older children because he’s never been around small children.

ZIPPY (A411427)

Meet our cute little pup Zippy. He's about 6 months old. He is here at our shelter after he was found wandering around alone. He was very underweight. Since arriving here Zippy has been getting extra feedings to help him gain weight.
Sweet pup Zippy is a bit unsure about the shelter environment as it can be a scary place for even the biggest dog. He is trying to make the best of his stay while here and hopes to have a loving home quickly.
Zippy was curled up in his kennel looking quite sad. He gave me a few tail wags and I picked him up and put his leash on so we could go outside for a break.
Zippy walked well on leash and stayed right by my side. He took care of his personal business right away.
He walked around and explored the yard a little. Once his curiosity was satisfied we sat down on the ground and he climbed right into my lap.
Zippy welcomed my affection. He soaked up all the back scratches and pets that I gave him.
He is very calm and gentle. He didn't mind being loved on. He took treats gently from my hands and gave tiny little kisses as a thank you.
Little Zippy is ready for a home and a family, and he would love to be a part of your life. The shelter is no place for a puppy who has his whole life ahead of him. Can you give him a home?

Meet Sidney! He's a gorgeous fella who is in need of a home. He is a Husky mix and is about a year old. He is smaller in size and he's heartworm negative.
This sweet boy was brought to the shelter after he was found wandering around alone with his leash still attached. No one came to claim him and now he is ready for a new home.
Sidney is a friendly dog and he tries his best to "talk" to you! He greets you with tail wags and a friendly face. He welcomes any and all the attention you are willing to give him.
Sidney was happy to get extra attention and treats. He gave lot's of kisses as a thank you.
Sidney has good leash manners and he listens well. He took care of his business as soon as we were in the yard.
It was hot outside and being a smart boy, he headed for the shade of the canopy. He was a good model for his picture and as you can see by this photo he is very photogenic!
Sidney is a smart boy. He knows sit for treats, and takes them carefully from your hand. He is well behaved and he wants to please.
Sidney is an all around good dog. He is friendly, playful, active, happy and loving all in one.
Sidney is longing for a forever home and a family to spend his time with. He hopes that you will come meet him.

Look at this handsome boy showing off his best manners! Peanut Brittle is a 9 month old Boxer mix. He is heartworm negative. He is already neutered and ready to go home.
He was brought in as a stray and no one came in to claim him.
Peanut Brittle hangs out at the front of his kennel. He's hoping for you to give him attention and take him outside to play! He was happy to go out to the yard to stretch his legs.
Once outside he had the best time. I found out he is a big fan of toys and he loves to play. He found a shady spot underneath the canopy and gave his best pose for the camera!
Peanut Brittle welcomes all of your attention. He loves a good back scratch and he leans in close for them.
He's a playful, happy, friendly, and a fun pup. Peanut Brittle is looking for a big yard to explore and a family to hang out with. He would also enjoy going for walks and playing a good game of fetch.

Please help Ansel find a new foster!
This sweet guy is in need of a new foster (or adopter) ASAP. His current foster will be starting a new job soon, and will not have the time to take care of him . Should we not find one, he will end up in boarding soon, which will cause him a lot of stress and he already has a slight heart murmur.
Please let us know if you, or anyone can help foster this sweet boy to keep him out of boarding!

How can you resist this adorable smiling puppy. This cute little fella is Mat. He is an 8 month old Dachshund mix. He weighs just 17 pounds and he's heartworm negative.
Mat was an owner surrender by no fault of his own. He is located in our small dog room. He lays on his little bed curled up in a ball. Mat is a little overwhelmed in the shelter environment as it can be a scary place for many dogs and puppies.
Mat was shy at first but he warmed right up and was ready and accepting of all of my attention.
He gave me a few tail wags and I picked him up and carried him out to the yard for a potty break.
Once outside he took care of his business and walked around exploring some. He has good leash manners and is very easy to walk. He sat nicely for his treats and he took them gently from my hands.
Mat has the sweetest personality and he is full of puppy kisses for everyone he meets. He loves to sit in your lap for back scratches and he loves the attention. He is a calm, quiet, and loving little dog.
Mat was a good model for his picture and he gave his best sit and a pretty smile.
Little Mat is a wonderful little dog and will make a great companion for anyone. He is neutered and ready to go home with you right away!

Puma A1226707 Puma is a one year old Husky mix who weighs 50 lbs. She loves playing with her doggy friends and adores children and adults alike. Puma is crate trained and seems housebroken. Harley Quinn A1226899 a 3 year old, 47 lb lab mix with the best smile. She is an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog. Loves belly rubs and cuddling. Loves meeting new people. She is medium energy and loves to take naps. No food or toy resource guarding. She is great at entertaining herself with Nyla bones and toys. Harley is smart, knows basic commands, house trained, great on leash, and a cuddle bug. She knows and responds to her name when called. Very slow intros to dogs. She is not keen on being left alone but in just a few days of fostering she is definitely getting more comfortable. Not fully crate trained but foster will be using a trainer to help. Training will also be donated to adopter to help ensure her successful transition to a new family. HQ also adoptable through Animal Care & Control

Look at those pretty ears! This sweet girl is Petunia. She is a gorgeous pup who has found herself at the shelter after she was found wandering around alone.
Petunia is a super sweetheart! You won't find a more friendly and loving little dog. She absolutely adores all people and she doesn't seem to mind other dogs.
Petunia is very petite in size. She is heartworm negative. I would guess her weight to be about 20-25 pounds if that. She has a gorgeous chocolate, brindle coat and big brown puppy dog eyes!
Petunia is a gentle and sweet girl who greeted us right at the front of her kennel. She happily welcomes and wants your attention and she's very loving.
Petunia has good manners, listens well, and she wants to please. She crawled right up into my lap and soaked up all of my attention.
Petunia can't wait to have a new family of her own, can you give her a home?

This isn’t cute.

22 puppies were dropped off in two boxes at Animal Care & Control today. It’s not cute. It’s not fun. It’s a completely preventable disaster.

We are so full. Where are they supposed to go? What other dogs will now be at risk because people didn’t get their pets spayed and neutered and now there are 22 puppies showing up in boxes?

We will, of course, search for rescues and adopters and fosters. If you can offer any of these options, reach out. If you tag a rescue, please consider becoming a foster with them. They’re just as full and just as tired.

This beautiful girl is Sarah. If you look closely you can see her tail wagging in this picture. She is a lovely girl with sad eyes that long for love.
Sarah is heartworm negative. She is much smaller than she looks in this close up picture. She is a Labrador Retriever mix and is just a little larger than a Beagle.
Sarah came in as an owner surrender along with her sisters "Samantha and Abigail" who were both adopted. They didn't have names so we named them. No info was given by their owners other than they said they "didn't want them" and "have more at home."
Sarah is overwhelmed and confused here at the shelter. She was a little shy at first. After I spent some time with her inside her kennel she warmed up and crawled over to me for some treats and attention.
Sarah is gentle, quiet, and calm. All she wants is love and comfort but you have to earn her trust. Once you do, she is very loving.
The shelter can be a very scary place for some dogs, once outside of this environment they will blossom with love.
We hope that sweet Sarah can get her chance to know true love and care. The love and trust of a family and the security of a home. She is ready for a new beginning. Can you give this gentle and sweet girl a home?
Sarah is a shy and scared girl in a FULL shelter and she needs you. Please don't let her down.

Hello Nemo. He’s a 5 month old terrier mix. He is heartworm negative. He was found on Ruby Rd and no one has come looking for him.
Nemo is too young to go outside. But, he welcomed me into his space. He is ready to greet you and share all his affection with you. He gives hugs and kisses galore and he’s happy to sprawl out in your lap. He’s full of tail wags and playfulness.
Nemo also loves cookies. He takes them eagerly. He will hop/wiggle for them and give you his paws 🐾 . Nemo is all puppy - super playful, energetic, and affectionate. He’s ready to say “bye” to the shelter and hello to his brand new life.

Tulip is a sweet and loving girl. She was a little shy at first but she warmed up quickly once she saw I was there to give her some love and yummy treats!
Tulip welcomed all pets and attention. She had plenty of tail wags and kisses for me as a thank you. She is very quiet, calm, and well behaved in and outside of her kennel.
Tulip walked well on the leash. She stayed close by my side at all times and followed my lead. She is very submissive.
She was a great little model for her pictures. She has those beautiful eyes that simply long to be loved. She sat on command and gave her best sit for the camera.

It is World Pet Memorial Day today, and we want to just take a moment to be silent in our space and remember the pets that have meant so much to all of us.

They change our lives when they come in to them, and they leave a void when they move on from this Earth, and we want to acknowledge that time we had with them and how special it was. And how much we feel that loss.

And, most importantly, the gift they were to us while they were here.
