LOUIE – 🔥URGENT NEW FOSTER NEEDED🔥

Louie was abandoned in an overgrown field, left to die—alone and invisible—right next to a veterinary office. They took him in, got him healthy, and gave him a chance. But that chance turned into years spent in boarding, waiting for someone—anyone—to notice him.

The vet informed our rescue of him and we stepped in, refusing to let this gentle soul go unseen any longer.

Louie is now out of boarding and in a temporary foster, but it’s a very active home—and after spending so long in confinement, it’s just too much. He’s overwhelmed and is at risk of going back to boarding unless the right foster steps up ASAP.

He needs a calm, quiet space to truly decompress and feel safe. He’s not a high-energy dog. He’s not looking for chaos—just sunshine, peace, and a soft place to land and just hang with his human companions.

He’s between 5 and 6 years old—mature, mellow, and discovering what it means to just be a dog. He loves to sunbathe, and hang out with his human, and couldn’t care less about walks. 😆 He LOVES neck and butt rubs. And stuffed toys? They’re his absolute FAVORITE. ❤️

He’s learning to adjust to home life for the very first time—and he’s doing so with the help of a dedicated trainer Trusted Tails Dog Training and Behavior that partners with your rescue. That support will continue for whoever fosters or adopts him! 🥰

He would thrive in a home with no other pets or kids, with someone semi-retired or working from home. A fenced yard is a must—so he can soak up the sun and just breathe and have silence for the first time ever. 😌

We are looking for a foster or adopter closer to Matthews/Waxhaw area so Louie can continue training with our team and become the best version of himself.

This sweet soul has already survived more than most. Bella, a 3-year-old Pittie mix, was found wandering alone in an apartment complex parking lot—hungry, scared, and searching for kindness. She waited for days with no one to claim her, until a good Samaritan finally called animal control. That call changed her life.

Can you look into this face and not take him home immediately? Probably not, so it’s a good thing he is already neutered and READY TO GO HOME!!

Meet Baguette a sweet guy with the saddest eyes that will melt your heart! Found on the side of the road in October 2024 by one of the volunteers, he was lucky enough to be adopted quickly - now he's back through no fault of his own - his adopter just couldn't keep his breed in their current home. Despite the bumps along the way, he's still the sweetest cuddle bug who leans in for all the love and affection. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a heart full of love and a face that's impossible to resist, this guy is ready to steal your heart (and maybe a few extra snuggles)!

Baguette is living at the WakeGov Pets: Wake County Animal Center. They are closed on Sunday 4/20 so you’ll need to wait to meet him until Monday. That gives you time to get a collar, a leash, a bed and toys so you can bring him home on Monday. The shelter is open for adoptions 12-6 every day (except holidays). Located at 820 Beacon Lake Dr in Raleigh NC, no appointments are needed. Just show up and bring your new best friend home.

It is sad how many strays this shelter takes in that no owners ever come for! Its heartbreaking! Tucker is a handsome boy at 62 pounds. He is heartworm positive, but please don’t let that stop you from adopting him. You can message our page and we can give you a few options. Slow kill is one of them. He has started treatment at the shelter.

Once you complete the app, a staff member will call you in 1-3 business days once approved.

Every adoptable pet is Spayed or Neutered, implanted with a microchip, current on age appropriate vaccinations including a current 1 year Rabies Vaccination, and current on monthly Flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention for dogs. All pets are behaviorally and medically evaluated prior to being placed up for adoption. Adoptions are matched based on best placement and require no negative animal history.

We wanted to post this beautiful girl one more time. Of course this picture does not do her justice. Dawn came in with 16 other dogs all which have been adopted but her how heartbreaking that she has been looked over the Shelter is having an adoption event today. all fees are 80% off. Please come to meet this beautiful girl and give her her forever home. Show her what love is

URGENT LAST DAY IS 4/15/25
Meet Dawn a 4 yr old husky mix that came in with 16 other dogs a few have been adopted, but Dawn is in need of a new home! She is only 46 pounds and she is heartworm positive as you can read below. She has been treated at the shelter but will need to continue treatment after but it is not expensive to do slow kill if you need more information please message us.
Please come today to meet her the shelters open until four and tomorrow 11 to 4 also
Please know of hrt Heartworm positive status (Will be sent home with prescription for continued treatment)
All need a little basic training, as many of these babies do not know what a leash is.
