Sakura and Sunflower went home today as numbers 143 and 144! These girls are known for being some of the best lap cats we’ve ever had and let’s just say they picked their people. Every visit their new mom and dad came into the cat room these two plopped right on them and wouldn’t move. Sakura is a little more outgoing but when Sunflower gets going she is just as playful. We are going to miss these two climbing on laps and especially Sakura screaming at us from the top shelf. Congrats girlies on your new home, you’re going to be so loved! Miss and love you so much!

You guys. Penny is perfectly showing how absolutely overcome we are with your generosity and support these last few days. Our wishlist is almost completely cleared out!

If you know me you know I’m extremely uncomfortable with asking for help but we want to give our cats and visitors the best experience we can and when we say it takes a village, we mean it. A lot of small businesses fail within the first year so it’s not lost on us that we are open and finding cats their forever homes because of you. 2024 has been the most challenging year of my life. From Olive’s cancer and passing to career changes, illnesses while trying to keep a business running and everything in between, reaching December and the New Year meant a fresh start and your kindness means the world.

Work on our space starts tomorrow, we can’t wait to welcome you back Saturday! There aren’t enough words to express our gratitude so for now, thank you.

Happy gotcha day to our Mr. Man! When this guy came to the shelter a few months back he was extremely sick and we weren’t sure he was going to make it. Fast forward a few months and he’s a brand new guy going to his brand new home. He’s so sweet and can make the best of any situation. He loves to cuddle, nuzzle, and make the best biscuits. He’s going to a home where he’s going to be so loved and cared for and we know he will be besties with his dad soon. Congrats on being number 142 Mr. Man! Miss and love you so much mister!

✨Cafe Update✨

Next week January 7th-10th we will be closed to make some much needed updates to the cafe space to make our cat room even more welcoming to visitors and cats alike. We’ve had some people ask how they can help. Attached is our Amazon wishlist. It truly takes a village to provide a comfortable space for our cats to meet their new families or visit with a bunch of regulars they adore. We appreciate all your support and help so much!

She’s so Lucky, she’s a star 🌟 Congrats to number 141, our sweet, shy Lucky girl! If you’ve been in the last few weeks you’ve probably seen this big black void of a cat up on our top shelves. This girl has faced some challenges so far in life and it’s made her very shy but once she’s comfortable with someone it’s game over. She will rub all over your hands and maybe nibble a little too. We are so happy her mom came in, fell in love, and is giving her the chance she deserves. She also has a new brother from the shelter and we can’t wait for them to become besties! Congrats little Lucky! Miss and love you so much!

Happy 140 to Pascal! If you’ve been in the cafe recently you know this sweet guy has been the exception to our “don’t pick up cats” rule. He loves to be held, loves laps, and loves people. When his new family came in looking for a friendly lap cat we knew he would be the perfect fit. Pascal is one of the sweetest cats we’ve ever had and we can’t believe he lasted as long as he did but his new family lucked out and we’ve gotta say, he did too. He’s going to be so loved. Congrats on your new home Pascal. Miss and love you so much buddy!

Hi guys,
We are going to have to close today. I woke up at midnight sicker than I’ve been in a long time. It’s extremely stressful to close during the holiday season and I never want to let anyone down who wants to visit with our kitties but I need to be smart about this and not risk getting anyone else sick. Hopefully we will be good to go tomorrow but I’ll keep you posted. Thanks so much for your support so far this season. Hope to see you tomorrow.

Ok so Boomer didn’t go home with me but he did go home today! He’s going to be a surprise for someone so his home is secret for now. This guy was in and out of the cafe in just about 48 hours. He has such a sweet disposition and reminds us so much of our Olive girl, not only for his dashing good looks but he has a little bit of her sass too. Congrats to Boomer, number 139! Congrats to number 138, our Candy girl! We can’t believe this little one was here as long as she was but she was just waiting for her perfect family and she scored big time. Candy is one of the most unique looking kitties we’ve ever had and her little face melted so many hearts. She’s a climber and just wants to lay on your chest or snuggle on your shoulder like the little baby she is. We can’t wait for updates as she grows. Miss and love you little girl!
