Join us today from 11-6 for our 2nd annual Kitten Shower. It feels extremely odd to host an event so close to losing Angel but the reality is kittens are being born every day and the people who care for them need our help. Bring any donation from the wishlist on this post and receive a 20 min cat room voucher to be used at a later time. I know it’s a rainy and miserable day but we’d appreciate you keeping us busy today.

Join us tomorrow at Dexter's Cat Cafe as they host their second annual kitten shower to collect much needed supplies as we head into kitten season! Bring any item from the wishlist and receive a 20 minute cat room voucher to be used at a later date. The shower runs from 11-6 and all donations will benefit Four Footed Friends! There will also be games, snacks, and even a raffle to win a chance to name the next litter of kittens! We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow!

Our perfect girl Angel passed this morning while we held her and told her just how much you all love her, how much we all loved her. Angel had been recently battling some health issues and it finally just became too much for her little body to handle. There is so, so much to say about this girl. Her attitude knew no bounds and she knew exactly what she wanted, when she wanted it. She ran to the back door to greet me every morning and it’s devastating to know I won’t be able to race her to the front anymore. She’s been a huge part of all our lives since she joined our cafe crew and her loss is immeasurable.

We will be closed today as we mourn our sweet girl but we hope to see you all tomorrow for our kitten shower because as anyone in this world knows, there are always more cats to help.

Goodbye sweet Angel. We miss and love you so, so much sweet girl. 💔

We love our repeat adopters and this guy was our 4th adoption Tuesday and number 173 overall! Doc is going to be such a good brother kitty to his cat and kiddo siblings. There’s so much to say about this guy and we only knew him for a short time. He made friends with everyone he met and loves to snuggle on laps, in beds, and with other cats. He’s a gorgeous boy and we can’t wait to get updates on how he’s settling in with his cat loving family. Congrats to our sweet Doc! Miss and love you so much little sir!

It was a big day yesterday as Sleepy went home too… our third adoption of the day and number 172 overall! Sleepy is a beautiful torti with wide eyes and a sweet disposition. She’s heard a lot of rumors about torties having attitude and she’s here to prove them wrong. Sleepy started off a little more shy than her littermates but after a few days made friends with everyone she met, cat or person. We’re so happy she’s going to a great home where she’ll be treated like the perfect princess she is. Congrats Sleepy! Miss and love you so much girl!

Bashful and Sneezy went home together today and bashful definitely lived up to her name as we tried to get pictures! Bashful’s new mom came in to pick her up today and just couldn’t leave without taking little Sneezy along with her. These two have always been buds in the room and I’m so excited they get to stay together in a great home forever, it’s always super special when littermates can stick together. Congrats to numbers 170 and 171! Miss and love you so much little ladies!

Cora wasn’t cooperating for her picture but she was still excited to go home as number 169! This girl has been a quiet and shy sweetheart since she got to the cafe but she finally found her perfect person who loves her personality and reserved nature. It’s going to be odd seeing our big bear in the room without her on it but we are so happy she’s settled in at home and is already loved so much. Congrats Cora! Miss and love you so much sweetie!

Our sweet and gentle little D***y went home this weekend bringing our total to 168! Always the cuddlebug, D***y just wants all the love she can possibly get. If you got a chance to meet her over the last few days she’s either been on a lap or on top of our little flower tree by the picture wall. Grumpy was in and out of here in two days as adoption 167! His name sure didn’t fit him though as he was always one of the first kittens on laps when anyone came to visit. He’s a sweet playful guy who made his presence known to all the adult cats in the room. We’re so excited he’s headed home with three kiddos who will keep him busy. Congrats Grumpy! Luke is out of here as number 166! This sensitive yet playful guy made his way to the shelter last year with his sister. After a few months and a stay at PetSmart she went home and somehow he didn’t. Luke loves other cats and really made a name for himself as the dad of the room, especially with his pal Zorro. He loves string toys and will play for hours if you keep it moving. We’re so happy for him, his new person, and his new kitty sibling. Congrats Luke! Miss and love you so much sweet guy!

165 for our best good girl Miss Edie! She was at the shelter for over a year before coming to the cafe and we couldn’t understand why until she met her new people. Yesterday she was a little uncooperative for her picture but her new dad calmed her down and made her feel safe which let us get this great picture! She’s such a sweet girl and loves to play, most of the time by herself with a fun toy she’s found in the room. We are so excited she found her forever people who are just so perfect for her. Congrats Miss Edie! We miss and love you so much little lady!

164 for our guy Zorro! This sweet boy is the reason places like the cafe and exist. At just four weeks old Zorro was hit by a car and had no function in his back legs. A wonderful volunteer made sure he was safe and taken care of, getting him to the shelter for veterinary care. After months of physical therapy with FFF staff Zorro has most function of his legs and runs around the room faster than anyone else. He’s an absolute snuggle bug and love to play with every spring he can get his paws on. We are so proud of him for everything he’s had to overcome in his little life. He has the best attitude and doesn’t even seem to realize he’s a little different compared to his kitty friends. Congrats little buddy! Miss and love you so much!

Tangerine and Link went home together today! There’s so much to say about these sweet guys. They’re both so easy going and love people and other cats so much. Tangerine is such a gentle soul and we bonded immediately. He loves to be up high and has really become a pal with everyone in the room. Link is one of the most chill dudes you’ll ever meet and I love him dearly. He loves to sit next to you and get pets all day long. We can’t believe these two get to be brothers! Some days I walk in this place and have no idea two of my besties are going home but it’s so worth it to see them go to an amazing home filled with love. Congrats to Tangerine and Link, numbers 162 and 163! Miss and love you sweet guys so much!

Nikki! This girl is out of here at number 161. She wouldn’t cooperate for her picture but that gave us about 20 to choose from 😂 Nikki is one of the Backstreet Boys litter (she was Nick until the vet figured out she was in fact Nikki). She came to us incredibly shy but warmed up after two weeks and it was like a switch flipped. She’s become one of the most social cats in the room and loves attention. She’s going to such a wonderful home and we know her and her new dad are going to be besties. Congrats Nikki! Miss and love you so much girlie!
