I was probably 15 or 16 in these pics (2005ish?) - Moon would have been around 8/9. He will turn 29 this March. The BEST boy...the one that started my love for the Thoroughbreds and secured my passion in this sport. Forever grateful for him and just so incredibly blessed to finally have him in my backyard after all of those years dreaming of it 🙏

He would go out and jump around like this winning me endless tri colors and then the next weekend we would be galloping through the farm trails ba****ck in a halter to go swim in the big pond. He did anything and everything I ever asked of him.

Hosted our Annual Barn Christmas Party yesterday! 🎄🎅❄️

The 'Deck the Stalls' winners were announced, games were played, gifts were given and lots of food was eaten. It's always so fun! I'm so grateful for each and every one of you that make up Dewalt Stables ❤️

And as always, a big THANK YOU to Clarksburg Trinity Presbyterian Church for allowing us the space to enjoy each other's company.

Very proud of & her baby ottb, Monty tonight!! Their dedication to improvement has paid off and seeing her smile at the end of the lesson made my day! That and Emily yelling "I'M DOING THE DERBY THIS YEAR" upon landing lol 😆 but yes...that she is lol!

Chase is back in lessons! 🙌 He's had some time off dealing with some soundness issues, but we've given him the rest he needed and then took our time with his rehab and bringing him back to work. This week I'm finally starting to use him in a few lessons again and I couldn't be happier to see this special boy in the arena again 💙

This horse 🤣 ...he does like to be turned out (some) but he's always eager to come in and if out for "too long" he will give subtle hints. Like this one, lol. There are also days we have to physically push him out of his stall lol. I remember when he was 5 or 6 yrs old and was injured needing stall rest for months ...I was hysterical...and so worried about him...meanwhile he never needed any sedation and did the majority of his hand walking when he was able, with my then 5 or 6yr old daughter while I cleaned stalls. He was perfectly content lol.

Successful Sunday at Bethany in WV for team! So proud of this group!! We were just a few points shy of taking home a team ribbon, but are still elated with our 3rd overall. It's been a process building the team and point cards and these students work hard and put a lot of pressure on themselves to earn team points. To see it all come together for them let's us know we're on the right track! Cant wait until next weekend at Slippery Rock! (not pictured is Kaitlyn who had to leave a little earlier for school commitments)
