We Will Never Forget! September 11, 2001 remains one of the most tragic days in the history of the United States. Let us not forget the amazing rescue dogs!
🐕‍🦺 From the Labrador who led her blind owner out of the World Trade Center to the German Shepherd who arrived at the Twin Towers within minutes of their collapse, these fearless rescue dogs made a true difference on 9/11 and in the aftermath. We also salute the many veterinarians who were stationed at the site to help care for these dogs. Working 12-hour shifts on the pile, the dogs needed to have their paw pads, eyes and nose cleaned often. Bretagne was the last known surviving SAR dog deployed to a 9/11 site. She died on June 6, 2016, not long before she would have turned 17. After many years of follow-up, Scientists concluded that there was a low long-term health risk to rescue dogs from 9/11.

Good evening! As mentioned before, the doctors must go to their continuing education later this week. (They MUST go every year to maintain their licenses). While they are away the office will be operating under limited hours due to the computer system will be getting a LONG OVERDUE update and overhaul!!! Hours this week are as follows: Wednesday business as usual Aug 15, Thursday 9am to noon for tech appointments, med/ food pick up(no doctor!) Aug 16, Friday 9am to noon for tech appointments, med/ food pick up(no doctor!) Saturday Aug 17 CLOSED We apologize for any inconvenience!

The FOURTH OF JULY is quickly approaching. Be prepared ... if you need medication for your pets for fireworks, please call your vet office now.... keep pets INDOORS and secure during fireworks. The office will be CLOSED July 4th and July 5th. Please plan your medication and food pick ups accordingly. We will be back in the office Saturday July 6th. Kalyani Indiana Emergency Veterinary Hospital will be open July 4th from 5 pm to midnight. They will be closed July 5th. They will be open Saturday July 6th at 1:00 pm Have a safe and happy fourth of July!

Just a heads up! January 12th to 15th the doctors will be out of town. The office will be open Friday the 12th, Saturday the 13th and Monday the 15th from 9am to 1pm for tech appointments, medication and food pick up. Again, there will be no doctor in the office those days.
