We are Rebranding/Splitting!!

Since Controlled Chaos WDC has taken off and doing big things, we decided it would be easier for organizational purposes to completely split up!

I have to shout out to Ashton E. Bemis for this AMAZING logo/brand!!! She took the concepts in my head that I couldn't put into words and created the PERFECT art. It is absolutely amazing and combines all my favorite things💗.

We will be hosting a "rebranding" Jurassic Park themed competition on September 2nd for the Triple Crown!! So make sure to get over to the page and follow!!
Also don't forget a couple founders also started their own toss and fetch club in Southern Indiana at Driftwood Disc Dogs .

Registration for the Nano Hoosier Daddy UpDog event will close on Saturday, June 17 at noon! Preregistration is preferred to save time for all of us but if you are unsure... day of entries will be allowed starting at 9:30AM until 10:15

If you are a new team just starting out, this is a good place to try the UpDog basic games. Some games allow you to use multiple discs but if you only want to use one disc for the games that is allowed as well. Each game will be explained prior to playing along with some suggested strategy options. Rollers are allowed in all games. You can learn about the games through the UpDog Challenge website https://updogchallenge.com/

Cars are allowed right next to the field so you can work right out of your car. It IS Father's Day so bring your dad or hubby to enjoy the UpDog play and Potter's Bridge park. Bring a picnic lunch.

Say hello to JOT! Here's his mom's description of him.

"Name: Einhorn's Post Script BCAT, "Jot"

Aka Joshua or Josh when he's being a dumb fratboard

Breed: Australian shepherd

Age: 2 years next month

Jot is my first dog from a breeder, and he's a handsome, amazing nerd. We're having such fun figuring out what his likes and dislikes are...and so far, FRIBBY is his favorite. He will catch a disc anywhere, anytime. He's VERY SERIOUS about disc. He'd do much better with a different handler, but he's loyal to his mom-o.

He's also in training for flyball, and is deciding if Dock Diving is acceptable (swimming in dirty water ✅ swimming in clean pool water 🚫). He also looooves tricks, so a trick title will be in his future.

Other than that, he's a squishy, goofy boy who is BFF with Soggy, and is a good momma dog to his little sister Relish."

For these three we had to go a little different. Say hello to "The Bois"

Newt, the 16 month old Australian Cattle Dog, is quite the unique pup. He's got a great personality with a heart of gold and plenty of grit. This is his first full disc league season! Our goal this season was to stay committed to the game.

Rip, a 20 month old German Shepherd, is a taco-loving, disc Rockstar. This goofy boi has a need for speed and is very agile for his size. His goal this season for league was better hand-offs.

Marlin, AKA Fish Tank, is a rescued Australian Shepherd. It took a few years to build confidence and drive for playing disc. We never expected him to become a competitive disc dog by any means. However, this season, he really stepped up to the plate! Our goal this season was to beat our PB from last season.

Our tiniest player! Soggy!!

Soggy came to us from a friend on the Eastern shore of Maryland. His owners were letting him roam, swatting him with flyswatters when he bit them, and generally neglecting him. He was overweight and scared when he arrived, and screamed if confined or left alone. His name *was* Ziggy, but my friend's phone AutoCorrected that to Soggy. 😂 since we have a Figment, who we call Figgy...we decided to use the wrong name. He wasn't going to stay anyway!

Well, he obviously stayed, because we realized what a cool little dude he was underneath his chubby little body and the layer of fear. (He was TERRIFIED of the big dogs when he arrived!, now Jot is his BFF!) His love of water made his name even more fitting. This guy can't get enough swimming. (At dock diving, they have to remove him with the net.) 🤦‍♀️

That was two years ago, and he's accomplished so much since he arrived! He's titled in flyball, was invited to the IDS Dock Diving Championship last year, he's become a champion Wiener Racer (winning a lot of gift cards and prizes!), he's decided he LOVES lure-coursing, and just this past winter decided he likes catching rollers!

This will be his second season in Toss & Fetch, and he's definitely a crowd pleaser...he loves and audience, little clown that he is...lol.

Our awesome puppy player, Fidele!!

Fidèle (Fee-del) is a spunky 8 mo Beauceron puppy. She loves pretty much everything about life, but I’d say her favorite things are her brother (Jasper), food, and frisbee. This is her first of toss n fetch and she is having a blast so far! Our goal this season is to work on stomping on the rollers less.

And is say they're doing AMAZING at crushing their goal!!

League player Oscar! Here's what his trainer says:

"Oscar is 100% a momma’s boy. He used to refuse to come inside for my husband if I wasn’t home.
He is up for any new adventure. We have done SAR work and scootering.
His love list is 1. Me, 2.frisbee, 3. Swimming. If I ever happen to fall into water and need saving or his frisbee is floating to the bottom, he’s gonna put that frisbee on my chest while he drags me out of the water 🤣"

Their goal is to work on their hand off and to remember to have fun, and get some personal bests!

Another league player - Piper!

Piper is a little english cocker spaniel who is up for anything and loves frisbee. She is such a happy girl and tries her heart out. Their goal this season is to beat their personal best of 20!

Next league member is Yzma!

Yzma is a Malincollie(malinois border collie mix) was a puppy raise for a friend and breeder, who ended up fitting in her home so nicely that she never left. Her mom keeps saying she's "not keeping her" but it's now been 18 months since she came home so I think we all know she's not going anywhere.

She is all Fluff, Chaos and Sass, with just the right amount of Sweet. She would love to spend all her days tugging with her humans, wrestling with her giant GSD housemate, or chasing some plastic. Her goals this season were to get one 5 point catch and to improve her hand off.

Quite behind on these but say hello to our sibling league participants!

Siblings, Kit & GG, are enjoying their first disc season. They are a little over a year old. These two drivey pups love to do all the things. They compete in a wide array of sports: racing, flyball, disc, dock, etc. Their goal this season is to beat their housemates personal best of 42. So far GG has hit 38 so it's almost there! They're also working on getting a better handoff.

Next League Player is Jasper!

Jasper is a mama’s boy at heart. He goes by many names such as Japer, Jaspy, Jazzy D, Bubbles, and the Saucy Aussie. When he’s not catching plastic he enjoys herding, agility, and bullying his sister (Fidèle). This is his first time competing in toss n fetch and the goal this season is to get faster with his returns. He's already showing drastic improvement!

Over the next few weeks of disc league, we're going to introduce our league players with their own trading cards 😆!

First up, say hello to Ribbon! Here's a little bio from Ribbons human.

"Ribbon came to me last October as a foster puppy. She had been tied out on a chain as a puppy, and her collar hadn't been adjusted as she grew. Because of this the collar ended up embedded in her neck. She was turned over to my Veterinarian friend who then brought her to me. She only started playing disc a few months ago and this is her 2nd time in league play. Her favorite things are playing ball, playing fribby (Frisbee), and wresling with her brother Jot."

Their goals this season are to get consistent with the Disc to Hand, hand-offs and to have a super solid return at the end of the games.

The season is going to be from May 1st- Aug 31!

Our club will do 1 League night a month except July will be 2 league nights! The clubs will face off against another club and throughout the season will have a record that will affect the Championship Bracket which will be held September 9th and 10th! Let’s take home the 2023 NK9DL Champions Trophy!!!

Cost: $75 per dog
