This big beautiful boy isn’t feeling his best right now—Harry’s feeling some sudden hip pain.

Thankfully, he’s getting the care (and the good meds) he needs to stay comfortable. He’s likely got a bit of a road ahead and won't love activity restrictions, but we’re hoping for a smooth recovery and he'll back to his happy, playful self soon! ❤️

Wishing Dr Murphy a very happy birthday today! 🎉

IAUC would not be here if not for Dr Murphy's relentless drive to provide better care and a better work environment in veterinary medicine. While he may prefer to stay out of the spotlight, we're making sure he takes a well-deserved day off so we can celebrate him here today.

Dr. Murphy is constantly working behind the scenes to find new ways to enhance IAUC's efficiency and elevate our quality of care. When he's not handling day-to-day management, he is staying up far too late making spreadsheets of proposed schedules to give the best possible work-life balance for our staff. He is the go-to person who drops everything to fix a plumbing leak, research a new surgical method or offer a second opinion on a set of x-rays— often while holding a toddler. A true tech wizard, computers seem to magically work when he walks up to see what the problem is. 

He is also the first person to get down on the floor and start playing with a nervous dog or offer chin rubs to a stressed cat. All dogs love him and all cats are calmed by him, and we are so lucky to have someone who cares so deeply about improving the lives of both animals and the people who care for them.

🚨 Scam Alert 🚨

We want to warn everyone about a concerning scam attempt that occurred last night. A scammer spoofed one of our hospital’s phone numbers and contacted an individual, claiming to be associated with us. They falsely stated that the person’s lost pet had been found, brought to our hospital, and required immediate authorization and payment for emergency treatment.

Thankfully, the individual recognized something was off, reached out to us directly, and avoided falling victim to the scam. However, this situation highlights how easily someone, worried about their missing pet, could be exploited.

Unfortunately, this scam is shockingly simple to execute. Using a single cell phone, scammers can search lost pet resources anywhere, pose as a local hospital, and target vulnerable pet owners.

Please stay vigilant. If you receive a call like this, always verify the information directly with the source before taking any action.

We're open!

We also went ahead and ordered a snow blower because we're too old for this. Hopefully your pets don't need surgery today because I can't feel my hands. Mostly kidding.

Many regular veterinarians will be closed starting tomorrow through the weekend to get a much-needed break with their families!

We'll be closed on Thursday to be with our friends and family but we remain open for our regular hours outside of that and here if you need us if your pup decides to eat something they shouldn't!

Forgive our mess and chaos for the next couple of days! After almost a whole year of staring at our broken concrete and sidewalk thanks to damages from @verizon and their subcontractors and @ufginsurance we're biting the bullet and getting it repaired without compensation from them. We haven't given up on getting them to make things right.
