This little guy has waited for months for the right people to come along. He has had probably close to 100 inquiries but not one pulled the trigger and took him home until today. Coco has found his perfect family and I don’t doubt that he will ever want for anything.

Well, you never know what’s going to happen day-to-day in Rescue. This morning I got a distressing call from a lady who said the health department is coming to check her home on Monday. She told me she had no water and I believe she said she had no electricity. She lives on disability and she has 10 miniature pincher dogs. She told me she used to breed and hasn’t for about three years. Needless to say, I agreed to take two females in and when I got there, she brought the first female out and then another who happened to be a male and i told her to leave him because I didn’t have the heart to send him back in. These dogs have lived their life in cages. There is another Rescue that is supposed to pick up the other seven on Sunday. If somehow that falls through I will be working with the Miami county animal control to help get these dogs into a better place. In the meantime if you are interested or know someone who could give some love and patience to these guys please reach out. You you know what really bugs me is that this lady is on disability and she has no running water in her home. Maybe I’m wrong but I feel like water should be a basic human right. I mean, how do you have any dignity when you can’t bathe or flush a toilet sometimes I just don’t know what world we’re living in.

We started our RescueAcres freedom ride fundraiser on Monday and we have managed to raise $15 so far. I am so grateful for that but we desperately need to raise funding in order to take care of these babies. We have eight babies who will take their freedom ride tomorrow from some not so great conditions to Rescue Acres and we need dry dog food desperately with new dogs coming in. These puppies are the ones that will be making their journey here tomorrow. If you would like to help with that, I’m going to put our cash apps below and our Amazon wish list. Another thing is we’re not gonna judge the pictures they’re coming from some not so great situations we don’t ask and we don’t judge we just help.

THE RESCUE ACRES FREEDOM FEST has begun and it will be a celebration of the freedom rides that all our puppies, dogs, birds cats and kittens have experienced. We will use this whole week to celebrate and share pictures of some of our alumni and residents.
