I think I felt a little overwhelmed this week with the amount of pups coming in. Ive had to say no to many others I’m grateful to my family that helps every step of the way. I’m grateful for the support of other rescues and shelters. I’m also grateful for all of you that share this page. We have had a few adoptions this week which always brings my spirits up.  In the last 3 weeks there has been over 43 puppies needing homes. We are grateful that some of those have went to foster homes and some have went right into their permanent homes. We still have Annie, the schnauzer poodle looking for a home, the bonded Chihuahua and cavalier that need a home, Winter the Siberian husky and the two shepherds that are still looking for their happy ending after their owner tragically was killed. We have a couple of that bills that we would like to catch up on and we will be making a new medication order since we seem to be going through a lot at this time. So our five dollar Friday will be dedicated to that. I appreciate the pig ears from Kim . Thank you so much. It’s keeping them busy. We definitely could use some more items for puppies to chew on and puppy food. Thank you all again so much happy Friday. Happy Valentine’s Day.

We have taken in a lot of puppies in the last week. We definitely could use puppy food, toys with no stuffing and lots of chews to keep them busy and my sanity. This weather hopefully wont last but at least it will keep them busy I added a huge box of water buffalo ears to our list. Didn’t know that water buffalo was a commodity? Puppy Palooza is what is going on! I had no intention of taking all of those puppies I had committed to about half of them but seeing the conditions that they were in and in the dire circumstances I really didn’t have a choice. So our five dollar Friday is going to be dedicated to getting these puppies into good health and ready to find homes. I appreciate everyone that helped out with the trip and the coffee thank you. It was a really long day and it’s a lot of work with these puppies right now just keeping them fed and keeping them stimulated with toys and chews are a must. Once these guys are vaccinated and warm, they will be able to move to the outside playpen. Let’s hope for some good weather as always on five dollar Friday I’ve included our cash apps below. Well, People , we did it! We got to $700 and I sent out seven $100 MasterCard gift cards. When I started Rescue Acres I’ve always said that being humane has a human element to it and we have to take care of people and animals. I got tired of other rescues being so judgmental and not wanting to help the people also. I think you have to take a look around you and see what you can do to help someone out. I hope these people have a Merry Christmas and that we made a difference this year in somebody’s life. I know that some of you sent packages to the shelter and the Amazon link is still up. Last Christmas you all helped support a family who was in need. We bought their family Christmas and provided a little extra for them. This year I think we’re going to do something a little different. I think we are going to adopt a shelter for Christmas….OMG IM SO EXCITED TO DO THIS You all have blessed us so much this year that we will probably be able to get through February with all our supplies. I will give you more details mid week so keep an eye on this page. Also keep Kimmie in your thoughts as tomorrow she heads to Parrett veterinary clinic in Plymouth, Indiana for her amputation surgery.
