What happens when your pet has a dental procedure? When you check your pet in for their dental we make them a cozy spot that will be theirs for the entirety of their stay. After a simple blood draw, we test the sample to make sure that there are no issues with anesthesia. Once it is determined we can proceed with the dental procedure your fur baby is sedated and the teeth are ready to be cleaned. We use an ultrasonic scaler to remove the tartar and then the teeth are cleaned and polished. If there are any loose or damaged teeth we will extract those at that time. We also apply a fluoride treatment. Your pet is then taken off anesthesia and is carefully monitored as they wake up to a clean fresh healthy mouth. Your pet will go home that afternoon with instructions for aftercare and recommendations for dental preventatives.
