Meet our newest Silver Snout, Milo — an adorable 8-year-old Pomeranian who was recently diagnosed with diabetes. 💛

Despite everything he’s going through, Milo is still the life of the party. He loves attention, loves people, and has already made it clear that belly rubs are his love language.

This week, Milo will be visiting our vet so we can begin his journey toward a healthier life. With proper diabetes management, a strict diet, and safe weight loss, we know this little guy will be feeling so much better soon. Once his levels are regulated and he’s stable, Milo will be ready for adoption into a loving forever home.

✨ $5 Friday for Yvonne ✨

We got the green light for Yvonne’s much-needed dental surgery, and our vet can get her in this Tuesday. 🙌❤️

While we have two other pups who will also need dentals soon, Yvonne’s is truly a matter of life and death. This sweet girl cannot eat without wincing in pain—every attempt ends with the food falling from her mouth. She deserves relief, comfort, and a chance to finally enjoy a meal without suffering.

At Silver Snout Senior Dog Rescue, there is nothing more rewarding than watching a dog’s true personality peek through once they’re finally safe, seen, and cared for. 💛

Randy-Patrick and Yvonne both spent time with our groomer and our vet this week, and the transformation has already begun. Both pups have been started on pain medication, and it’s incredible what a little comfort can do.

Sweet Yvonne has some of the worst teeth our team has ever seen. It’s no wonder this tiny girl is skin and bones—every time she tries to take a bite of food, she winces in pain and it falls from her mouth. 💔 Her bloodwork will be back tomorrow, and we’re praying she’s healthy enough for the dental surgery she desperately needs.

Randy-Patrick is battling a severe skin infection. He’s now on antibiotics and will need baths every 2–3 days with prescription shampoo to help soothe and heal his fragile skin. Even so, his little tail still tries its best to wag.

These two are resilient, gentle souls who have endured far more than any animal ever should… yet all they want is love. And now, they’re finally getting it. ❤️

Thank you for being part of their healing. Our seniors deserve the world—and together, we’re giving it to them.

🐾 Welcome Randy-Patrick🐾

Meet sweet Randy-Patrick — a tiny 16-year-old soul who landed in the shelter after being found as a stray. 💔 When we picked him up, he was in heartbreaking shape. His skin infection was so severe that he was literally oozing everywhere. He has no teeth, and his little hoarse cry tells us he likely spent far too long calling out for help before he finally made it to safety.

But today… today is the start of his comeback. ❤️

As soon as he arrived, our amazing friends at Okie Dokie Grooming jumped right into action. He received a soothing medicated bath, a gentle cleanup, and a much-needed mat removal. And guess what? In just a short time, we’re already seeing that adorable personality shining through the discomfort. ✨

Randy-Patrick will be seeing our vet today, and we promise to keep you all updated on his healing journey.

Please help us welcome him with all the love he should have had all along. 🐶💕

Our little traveler has officially made it to Baltimore for her layover! Daisy Mae handled her first flight like an absolute champ, and she’s now resting and recharging before boarding her second flight to sunny Sarasota, FL. 🌴🐾

Huge thank you to the incredible Southwest Airlines SWATT volunteers making this journey possible — you are truly her heroes in the sky. 💙✈️

Next stop: Florida freedom and a brand-new life filled with love, safety, and soft beds. Stay tuned… our girl is almost home. 🥹💛

✈️🐾 Daisy just received the news…. SHE IS CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF!

Our sweet Daisy just got the official green light to fly from our incredible vet partner at Hebron Animal Hospital! 🌟

She spent last night snuggled up and completely spoiled by Ms. Judy and Doc from The Blind Eye Rescue Inc who made sure Daisy was comfy, calm, and ready for her big journey. This afternoon, Ms. Judy is chauffeuring her to the Cincinnati airport where the magic really begins.

✨ Flight attendant Carol with Southwest Airlines will greet Daisy in Cincinnati and personally es**rt her on her flight to the Baltimore airport.
✨ From there, flight attendant Charlene will take over and es**rt this precious girl all the way to Sarasota, FL.

Daisy is expected to touch down in sunny Florida around 8:30pm tonight, where her retirement life officially begins. ☀️🌴

Please send this brave girl all your love and safe-travel wishes as she makes her journey to freedom. Welcome to the good life, Daisy Mae—you’re almost HOME!

🌼✈️ Welcome to Freedom, Daisy Mae! ✈️🌼

Last night, sweet Daisy Mae officially began her journey to freedom. Once a scared, overlooked shelter pup in Cincinnati, Ohio … today she’s on her way to retiring in sunny Florida with the love, comfort, and soft beds she’s always deserved. 💛

She’s currently safe and cozy in a temporary foster home, and today she’ll visit our vet for her airline health certificate. Tomorrow, she’ll be jet-setting her way to our Florida location thanks to a small army of kind hearts — our incredible volunteers and the amazing Southwest Airlines SWATT program, who fly rescue dogs all across the country to safety. 🛫🐾

Please take a moment to send up a prayer for Daisy Mae’s safe travels as she makes her way to her new chapter. We’ll keep you posted every step of the way. 💕

Meet Kobe — our brave little reminder of why Diabetes Awareness Month matters.
Kobe was found as a stray, and by the time he reached safety, he was barely hanging on. No one knew he was diabetic, and without insulin, food regulation, or monitoring… his little body was shutting down.

But look at him now. 💪
With your support, we’ve been able to stabilize him and begin the long, delicate process of helping him safely gain weight. That means constant trial and error with his meals, exercise, insulin type and dosing — all while keeping his blood sugar in a healthy range. Kobe even wears a continuous glucose monitor so we can track every rise and dip.
