🛍️🐾 Wishlist Wednesday + Prime Day = the perfect combo! 🐾🛍️

Our seniors got word that it’s Amazon Prime Day… and let’s just say they have a few things in their cart. 😏💻 From orthopedic beds and joint supplements to tasty treats and snuggly blankets, a little something special would make their tails wag with joy!

Silver Snout Senior Dog Rescue currently has 14 dogs in foster care in Indiana and 10 in Southwest Florida — and each one deserves a soft place to land and supplies that meet their unique needs. We could also use help stocking up on general rescue items like cleaning supplies, food, and grooming products.

🚨 In case you missed it… meet the FABULOUS FIVE! 🚨

This week, Silver Snout Senior Dog Rescue pulled 5 incredible seniors from shelters across Indiana and Florida — all in desperate need of a second chance. 💔 Thanks to our amazing village, they’re now safe and surrounded by love. Let us reintroduce these deserving souls:

🐾 Evelyn (11 yrs) – Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Southwest Florida just days before her scheduled euthanasia. Scared, confused, and forgotten… but not anymore.

🐾 Daisy (11 yrs) – After her owner passed away, this sweet girl ended up alone in a Central Indiana shelter. Her heart was broken, but now she has hope.

🐾 Jackson (8 yrs) – Picked up as a stray in Central Indiana and never claimed. Jackson’s playful spirit is already starting to shine through.

🐾 Dottie (8 yrs) – Brought into an Indiana shelter by the police in terrible condition. She’s getting the care she desperately needed and already melting hearts.

🐾 Whiskey (10 yrs) – Abandoned to an Indiana shelter by the only family he ever knew. Left shaking in a kennel, confused and heartbroken. Now he’s surrounded by people who will never give up on him.

🩺 All five will see our vet team soon and be available for adoption after we get them the medical care and stability they deserve.

This 4th of July, while the skies light up with fireworks and families gather to celebrate freedom… Silver Snout Senior Dog Rescue is celebrating a different kind of independence.

Meet Dottie – the newest little firecracker to join our pack! She’s one of FIVE senior dogs we welcomed this week, and while her smile might be a little crooked, her heart is pure gold. 💙❤️🤍

This girl is finally free from the shelter. She’s now wrapped in love (and clearly ready for the party 🇺🇸). But freedom isn’t free – not for Dottie or any of the seniors we take in. Vet care, special food, medications, and safe places to land all come at a cost.

🚨 Rescue Bonus! Meet Jackson!

When we went to the shelter to pick up Whiskey, we couldn’t turn our backs on the scruffy little guy watching from the next kennel over… so we didn’t.

Everyone, meet Jackson — 8 ½ years young and full of schnauzer sass and playfulness! 🎾💨

Jackson came to us with a skin infection, likely the aftermath of a nasty flea infestation, but he’s already on the road to recovery. His amazing foster mom has him soaking up some TLC (and a medicated bath or two 🛁). He’ll be seeing our vet soon and will be ready to start the next chapter of his life — maybe with you?

📣 WHISKEY UPDATE! 🐾❤️

This, friends… this is what freedom looks like. 🍃☀️

Remeber Whiskey, the heartbroken dachshund who clung to the shelter staff, refusing to go back into his kennel…he’s now running across the grass with joy in his eyes and the wind in his ears. THIS is the power of rescue.

We were blown away by the outpouring of love and support for him—thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and submitted a foster application. While we carefully review each application to ensure the very best match for him, one of our experienced team members pulled him from the shelter and is giving him all the love (and belly rubs) he’s been missing. She’s also evaluating his immediate needs so we can get him on the right path to wellness.

We’ll be reaching out to foster applicants by the end of the day. 🐶💌

Meet Whiskey—a 10-year-old chunky little Doxy who’s stuck in the shelter and, emotionally, running out of time. 💔

He deserves soft beds, belly rubs, and someone to remind him he’s still got so much life left to live.

The amazing news? One of our incredible rescue friends has stepped up to cover his initial vetting and dental surgery. 🙌 Now all we need is YOU.

We want to get him OUT of the shelter TOMORROW. Can you open your home and heart to this short-legged sweetheart?

Beau has officially hit the jackpot! 🥰 This sweet, gentle soul found his perfect match, and we couldn’t be happier. His new momma absolutely adores him, and we just know he’s going to be spoiled with all the love, cuddles, and belly rubs he deserves.

SHE’S OUT! 🙌 Evelyn just left the shelter, and while she may be nervous and definitely smells like she’s been through it (because she has), she walked out like the QUEEN she is. 👑🐾

Thanks to YOU—our incredible tribe—Evelyn’s life was spared today. You stepped up, you pledged, you cared… and now she’s riding out with a 4-piece chicken nugget meal and a new beginning. 🍗❤️

She’ll be seeing our vet soon, and we’ll determine her next steps from there. But for now, she’s safe. She’s loved. And she’s no longer just a number in a high-kill shelter.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. You gave Evelyn a chance—and we can’t wait to show you what a little love can do. 💛

🚨 URGENT: 11-Year-Old Evelyn Needs Us 🚨

Evelyn is scheduled for euthanasia at a high-kill shelter just because she’s old and scared. That’s it. No one has given her a chance, and now time is running out. 💔

We told the shelter to wait—to give us a little time to see if our tribe could rally. Because Evelyn doesn’t deserve to leave this world cold and alone. She deserves to be loved. To feel safe. To know what it means to be someone’s girl.

We can rescue her—but only if we raise at least $400 in pledges to cover her initial vetting and care. Financially, we just can’t risk it without knowing you have our back. 🐾
