Please join us in giving a big Silver Snout Senior Dog Rescue welcome to our newest girl, Misha 💕

At 12 years old, Misha’s world was turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away. She found herself in the shelter, confused and grieving. To make matters worse, she was severely matted. The shelter staff shaved her down and gave her a much-needed medicated bath, and under all that neglect, a happy, sweet spirit has already begun to shine through. ✨

Misha will see our vet on Monday for a full check-up so we can get her on the road to the best chapter of her life.

None of this would have been possible without YOU—our incredible supporters who stepped up with donations to make her rescue possible. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. 💗 Because of you, Misha gets the chance to be safe, loved, and cherished, just like she deserves.

Thanks to YOU, we reached our $500 pledge goal! 🙌🐾 Misha will be leaving the shelter tomorrow and coming into our care. 💕

🚨 PLEDGES NEEDED TO SAVE MISHA 🚨

This sweet 12-year-old girl, Misha, just lost everything she’s ever known. 💔 When her owner passed away, she landed in a high-kill shelter. Because of her age and the vet care she’ll need, she’s been labeled “not adoptable.” That breaks our hearts.

We can’t imagine how scared and confused she must be—grieving her person and now facing the possibility of her life ending in a shelter. Senior dogs like Misha deserve so much more than this. They deserve love, comfort, and a safe place to call home for whatever time they have left.

👉 On a financial standpoint, we simply can’t take her on without at least $500 in pledges. That support will help us cover her initial vetting and care once she’s safe with us.

🚨 We’re a little late posting this week’s $5 Friday, and here’s why…

Our sweet foster boy Kobe had an eye emergency that landed him at the vet. 💔 Thankfully, he’s back in his foster home now, resting comfortably with antibiotics and pain meds. The plan is to remove the eye when he is neutered so he won’t have to go through two separate surgeries.

As you can imagine, emergencies like this are always a financial setback in the rescue world. Every time something unexpected comes up, we lean on our incredible tribe to help us keep going.

💚 PUPdate for Freya & Jonnah! Green light for adoption💚

Our sweet girls, Freya (9 yrs) and Jonnah (15 yrs), went to see our vet this morning. Aside from a little upper respiratory infection for Freya (nothing some meds can’t fix), both ladies were given a clean bill of health! 🙌

That means… they’re officially ready for adoption! 🎉 These two came to us from a tough situation, but they have proven to be resilient, loving, and so deserving of a forever family.

Freya is the confident protector, while Jonnah is gentle and a bit timid—but both love the comfort of being near their humans and each other. 🐾

🌸 Dottie is Ready for Adoption! 🌸

This little 8yr old gal has been through a lot, and while she’s still learning to trust people, she’s already figured out how to live her best wiener dog life. 🐾

✨ Her favorite things:
• Rolling around in the grass and lounging outside 🌿
• Cozy, squishy beds and soft couches 🛋️
• Hanging out with other chill dogs (and politely scolding the rowdy youngsters 😆)
• Begging for snacks – 🐶🌭

✨ What she’s working on:
• Learning people aren’t so scary (she’s happy to admire you from the other side of the loveseat 💕)
• Sticking to her potty schedule ⏰ (about every 6 hours)
• Resisting the temptation of… questionable snacks in the yard 🙈

She’s totally fine with cats, LOVES dog friends, and would do best in a calm home with another pup to cuddle up with.

Dottie may not be ready to be the life of the party just yet, but she’s ready to find her forever person who will be patient, keep the beds fluffy, the treats flowing, and the grass ready for rollies. 🌼

✨ Bruce heads back to the vet to check his drains and get a red light therapy treatment.
✨ Dottie has her appointment, and we’re hoping for that big green light to be ready for adoption!
✨ And next week, the new girls, Freya and Jonnah, will see the vet for their wellness exams.

💔🐾 Yesterday was a tough day for our sweet Bruce. He was in distress, unable to stand or walk, and his foster mom rushed him to the vet right away. After an exam, he underwent a minor surgery to drain an abscess.

Bruce may be considered a hospice dog due to his cancer diagnosis, but that doesn’t mean his comfort and happiness aren’t our top priority. Every single day with him matters — and we are committed to making sure he continues to live his very best life. 🌟

His vet bill came to $452, and we can’t cover that without the love and generosity of our incredible Silver Snout tribe. 🐾💙

📣 Meet our newest Silver Snout girls, Jonnah (15 yrs) and Freya (9 yrs) 🐾❤️

These two sweet souls have already been through so much. They were living in a homeless camp with their owner, who made the heartbreaking decision to surrender them to the shelter in hopes of giving them a better life. 💔

The shelter reached out to us, and although our rescue is already stretched thin financially, there was no way we could say no to these faces. Both girls are settling in, but they’re battling upper respiratory infections and flea dermatitis that will require vet care.

🌟 At Silver Snout, we believe every senior deserves love, comfort, and dignity in their golden years—and Jonnah and Freya will get exactly that from here on out.

🌟 Hospice doesn’t mean hopeless. 🌟

To think… someone looked into this precious face and left her at a shelter. It blows our minds every time we remember that.

But Macy? She's writing a new chapter. One filled with soft beds, cozy blankets, fur friends, and a foster family who loves her fiercely.

She may be in her final season, but she’s surrounded by love, dignity, and care—just like every senior dog deserves.
