@gingerhoneypoo is an enthusiastic worker, but surprisingly strong-headed for such a small, cute package. Giving her more freedom makes her life better, helps her work enthusiastically without food, and gets me and her on the same page.
This is also a reminder that training might start with a lot of structured heeling and rules, but it ends with freedom, trust, and fun.

Almost time for Butch and I to say goodbye already...
So many dogs struggle with reactivity for years. Pedro was one of the more reactive dogs on the planet and has charged dogs and humans routinely.
Here in this shaky video he is walking on a long line making all his own decisions. He chose to take distance from a barking dog and chose to stay cool the whole time.
What a difference the right two weeks can make for a dog's confidence and future prospects.

Libby the blue pit has issues with humans and dogs. The first several days we've just been working on building trust and getting physically fit so we can get to work. Working out of a muzzle now so that is progress!

I can't explain what a challenge this is for Bosco. Thank God for muzzles too. Otherwise I would lose a lot of basketballs.
Training tip: learn to use a prong collar before using it
