✨🎄💚 Home for the Holidays – Day 12: Fergus! 💚🎄✨
A gentle little bun ready to blossom in the right home. 🐰💚

Meet Fergus, a sweet and sensitive soul who had a tough beginning. He and his family were found outside when he was just a baby — but thanks to amazing volunteers, they were all rescued and given a fresh start. After growing up in the shelter, Fergus moved into a loving foster home through Indiana House Rabbit Society, where he’s finally learning what it means to be a cherished indoor companion. 🎄💚

Fergus is still shy and easily startled by loud noises, but beneath that timid exterior is a deeply curious and very gentle bunny. His foster mom says he’s beginning to approach her for soft pets — a huge step for a little guy learning trust at his own pace. 💚✨

Here’s what makes Fergus special:

A tiny bunny with a huge personality and an even bigger heart! 🐰💗

Meet Thérèse, one of our lovingly hand-raised babies — handled gently twice a day from birth through her first 10 weeks of life. That early bond helped her grow into an especially people-focused companion who loves attention, enjoys being petted, and is unusually comfortable being picked up — a truly rare trait in the rabbit world! 💗🌟

Though she’s the “smallest of her siblings,” Thérèse is absolutely packed with charm and confidence. She’s curious, active, and wants to be right in the center of whatever you’re doing. Her specialties include:
💗 Digging with enthusiasm in her digging box
💗 Tossing toys with dramatic flair
💗 Climbing onto furniture for a better view
💗 Bringing joy, silliness, and sparkle everywhere she hops

Thérèse thrives with enrichment, wooden chew toys, and caregivers who can match her bright energy. She’s a delightful, spirited companion ready to light up a loving indoor home this holiday season.

✨🌷 Sanctuary Sunday: Meet Tulip! 🌷✨
A tiny, wobbly warrior who will spend her life safe, loved, and fully supported in IHRS sanctuary care. 🐰💚

Tulip was dumped outside, and kind people quickly realized something wasn’t right — she was unsteady, falling over, and clearly struggling. An exotic vet ran many tests, and while everything came back negative, she was diagnosed with arthritis and is assumed to have a neurological condition.

With daily pain medication (which she loves), Tulip gets around much more comfortably. She may always have mobility challenges, but she also has a forever place with IHRS, where she’ll be cherished for the rest of her life. 💚🌷

Now safe indoors, Tulip has fully embraced house rabbit life:
🌿 Daily salads that make her do the cutest little binkies
📦 Cardboard-chewing adventures
🐰 Digging in tunnels during run time
🐢 Wearing her hop-n-flop as a “turtle shell,” which her foster mom says is absolutely adorable
💕 And she’s even learned to enjoy gentle pets

Tulip has an upcoming vet appointment for bloodwork and a refill on her medication — essential care that helps her stay comfortable and happy. Our extra-special girl with the gentlest soul. 🐰💙

Meet Havyn, a bunny whose strength and sweetness shine brighter than ever. Her past was unimaginably hard — discarded by a breeder after years of being bred every six weeks, and then left outside when she was no longer “useful.” But Havyn was found, rescued, and finally shown the compassion she always deserved. 💙🌟

Radiographs revealed an old, poorly healed spinal fracture — the result of long-term neglect. Now she’s getting everything she needs:
💙 Daily pain management
💙 Spayed & vaccinated
💙 A soft, stable environment
💙 A low-entry litter box and gentle home setup

And despite all she’s endured, Havyn is pure sweetness:
💙 Follows her foster mom like a little puppy!
💙 Calm, trusting, and deeply loving

Meet Liza Bun-innelli, the quiet little star who once had to act her heart out just to feel safe 💛🎭
Abandoned in a park, Liza was rescued and placed in a shelter—but she wasn’t a fan of the noise and chaos. So she turned on the dramatics (iconic of her, truly!) and earned her fabulous showbiz name.

Now in foster care, her real personality is shining through:
🌿 Shy but wonderfully curious
🥬 A big fan of veggies and pellets
📦 Professional cardboard shredder
🏡 Looking for a calm, patient home where she can bloom

✨ Home for the Holidays • Day 7: Meet Xena! ✨
Brave. Gentle. Resilient. 💛

Xena’s journey is nothing short of extraordinary. After being abandoned outdoors, she struggled to survive three back-to-back litters—her last arriving just three days after rescue. Malnourished, terrified, and unable to produce milk, she arrived at the shelter with trauma no rabbit should ever endure. Thanks to dedicated volunteers, her six surviving babies were hand-raised and have since flourished. 🌱🐇

Now it’s Xena’s turn to thrive. 🌟

In foster care, this quiet warrior is learning what safety feels like. She binkies at mealtime, accepts treats from her loving foster caregiver, explores her space with gentle curiosity, and has rediscovered the joy of a good bunny flop. She chews toys, plays, and is slowly discovering how to “just be a bunny” for the very first time. 💕

She isn’t ready for petting yet—but trust takes time, and Xena is already showing us her incredible spirit. She even grooms her stuffed animal pals, and a kind, confident rabbit friend may be just the encouragement she needs. 🧸🐰

With her trustworthy behavior during run time and her love of hidey houses, Xena could be a wonderful free-roam companion animal in the right home. She needs a patient, rabbit-experienced adopter who understands that every tiny moment of progress is a triumph. A quiet home, predictable routine, and plenty of safe spaces will help her continue her healing journey. 🏡💞

And this time… we’re adding handmade rabbit toys, enrichment boxes, and IHRS shirts for purchase! 🎁💚 All proceeds benefit IHRS, and these make fantastic holiday gifts for the rabbits or rabbit lovers in your life.

Our last event filled up fast and we sold over 1,000 lbs of hay, so be sure to schedule early this time!

We’ll have shirts available day-of, but quantities of small and medium are limited — you can preorder those sizes via email and pick them up at the sale!
