Before Bennie’s MLD Session
-BEFORE- Video 1 of 3
Bennie became quite congested after vaccines, sedation (for teeth floating), and some roughhousing. Horses suffering from sugar issues (IR, Cushing’s, laminitis, etc) can often have problems with these and often have a colic or founder episode shortly after. Bennie had been feeling better, but as you can see they really did a number on him. So his owner Gina Keesling had me out for a manual lymph drainage session. Custom herbs and whole foods were also provided as follow up care to help his body detox, heal, and replenish.
**This is video one of three from this day (can’t upload more than one video at a time 🙄 🤦🏻♀️).
If you’re going to be vaccinating, sedating, or etc there are herbs for preparing the body to deal with these before they happen and then for after care as well.
Check the page to see all three videos!!!
Let’s talk about CBD Oil! In this video I’m talking with Amy an owner of Rooted Scales a locally owed and operated company. Watch the video to learn about the benefits of CBD for you and your animals, how to use it, it’s effectiveness for cancer, gut health, arthritis, and more!
Here’s a quick clip about the daily herbs my herd eats. These herbs promote proper digestion and utilization of proteins and sugar in their diet. They also provide anti inflammatories, allergy relief, defense against biting insects, and great sources of natural vitamins/minerals (there are many great benefits to each herb, but these are my top reasons for this formula).
**Sound on** to hear the explanation and ingredients.
-Sorry for it being sideways, it wouldn’t let me rotate it in editing.
Sorry for the lack of posts - but I’ve been on vacation. Here is a video of the summit of Sulphur Mountain. Trying to relax and find balance 💙

Salalah is a 13yo mare that has been diagnosed with reoccurring EPM, she also suffers from on and off lameness issues on her left side. She has been on a custom designed herbal protocol for a couple of months with positive results. I’ve done one manual treatment about a month prior to these video clips. Before treatment she is taking short choppy steps, not wanting to mover her shoulder, and is pretty tight. After I pushed out the inflammation on her left side- you can see good improvement in all foot fall, her learning she can move her shoulder and it not hurt, and relaxed movement. She’s still got a ways to go, but it’s a great start!
Had a good couple of days working on horses in GA! Thanks to Fancy Mount Farm for hosting Willow, Misty, and Twister for their treatments and having me work on the beautiful Miss Maggie all on Friday! And thanks to Little Brook Farm for having me out on Saturday to work on Confetti, Salalah, Silk, and Pistol! This is a short clip of Salalah “helping” me find just the right spot 😂
Principle #6 is Group Bonding. Group bonding is essential for every horse!
-During group time horses learn from watching others and then doing it themselves, which helps them trust (horses and humans).
-The group time teaches the horse to explore allowing for the horse to build self confidence and confidence in their surroundings- if done with a human it greatly strengthens the horses confidence with that human.
-Horses that suffer from anxiety can benefit greatly by having a calm role model out in the field and while being handled.
-Use your herd to help your horse grow and overcome obstacles both on the ground and in the saddle.
Giving your horse herd time is so very important to their health and well being!
This is Miss Kitty a horse I have in for health restoration. This is a video from her first day here while using the laser on her. During the treatments it’s common to see big eye blinks, deep breaths, relaxing of back legs, lowering of head/neck, and yawning. There is plenty going on outside of the arena, but it felt so good that she didn’t care! The laser helps with immediate pain removal and starts generating healing on a cellular level. Contact me for more details!!! **Side note - she is NOT tied to the gate, the lead is just laying on it.
I've added a level 3b cold laser to my tool box! This laser reaches about 2 inches deep, soaks in for up to 24hrs, and helps promote healing. I'm using it for arthritis, injuries, and sore muscles - in conjunction with massage. My guy really enjoys the laser on his more painful and sensitive areas.
Try this exercise to develop a better "feel" and understand what your horse feels! Then tell me what you felt.......which way provided a clearer que/response? Are you using to soft or to hard of pressure on your horse?
