In the same way you have your blood checked regularly to evaluate your overall health and organ functions, your pets need the same type of monitoring. And because they age faster than us, it’s important to screen for issues routinely so any change or abnormality can be addressed promptly. It is this proactive approach that can make an enormous difference in the longevity and quality of your pet’s life.

But just like us, what starts in the mouth can end up impacting your pet’s overall health. 🦷🐶🐱 The good news is, veterinary dentistry is extremely advanced, and there is a lot we can do to ensure your pet’s mouth – and whole body – can stay healthy.

During the colder months, you may notice your senior pet’s arthritis beginning to flare up. ❄️ The cold can stiffen joints and make movement more painful. Your pet doesn’t have to endure the season in pain. If you notice signs like limping, stiffness, licking of joints, or reluctance to move, schedule a visit with us. With the first day of winter officially starting tomorrow, we need to be aware of how the cold affects our pets! ❄️🐾 We know some pets love the cold, but beware and limit exposure. Hypothermia occurs when the body’s temperature drops below the normal range–101.0 to 102.5°F (38.3 to 39.2°C) for dogs and cats–and struggles to maintain normal functions. This condition can be dangerous and life-threatening.
