A bee keeper not only keeps bees in order to collect their honey and other products that the hive produce (including beeswax and propolis) but to also keep the bees from going into extinction.

So I know it's been a little bit had some personal things happen in the family but we are back. Not only do I have all my hives I also help with these two all hives are doing good winter prep in now in it been a exciting year.

This is a honey bee on the left and the yellow jacket is on the right. I am posting this because yellow jacket season is upon us and I wanted yall to see the difference. Honey bees are very docile unless provoked and if they sting once they go off and just die. Yellow jackets are very aggressive and can keep stinging you again and again until you get away.

A little update for the fist time ever all but one of my hives in the back yard have honey supers and Whiteland hives are doing great just pulled 7 fully cap frames of honey and was able to put the second deep on the 2 hive and as you can see I finally got pictures of them

It been a while I know we have been so busy with things. But this year so far has been good was able 5 splits all are doing good Whiteland hive I was able to make a split but with the weather at the time don't think the queen got mated so I'm going to put one I made from my hive in. That's about it

It been a little now since I open the hives for the summer only lost one was able to make two splits here and one split on the Whiteland hive fingers crossed
