Cats Haven will be closed from Wednesday, January 15 to April 12, 2025. We use this down time to complete much-needed projects in and around the shelter, things that are difficult to do with visitors stopping by. We will still accept donations, but please call Barb at 317-925-7001 or email her at [email protected] and set a time to drop things off. Please don’t reach out via FB Messenger . . . Barb prefers phone calls or emails. And we can always use volunteers, so call or email if you’re interested in helping the kitties!
Have a fabulous rest of the winter! Stay warm and safe, and we’ll see you all in April!

The kitties at Cats Haven are not fans of this snow, and they want to remind everyone to take it easy out there. Driving in snow and ice can be dangerous, and the kitties want everyone to get home safely. And due to the weather, Cats Haven will be closed Tuesday, January 7. Hopefully we’ll be open on Wednesday. Stay tuned . . .

Cats Haven will be closed on Tuesday, December 31. The kitties are taking one extra day of holiday vacation, but they look forward to seeing you Wednesday, January 1! Come pet a kitty . . . what a great way to start a new year!!!

Cash wants to thank everyone who came to our open house yesterday.
It was good to see everyone and visit with them.
We raised $1,000 which is a wonderful amount. Much needed supplies were also brought for the kitties.

Some of the Cats Haven elves have been busy, whipping up amazing treats for those who come by the open house today from 1 to 3. Molasses cookies, meatballs, the annual cheese torta, lemon cake, and more will be ready for visitors to nosh as they snuggle with a kitty or two. C’mon by 2603 N College, grab and snack, and hang out with the coolest cats in Indy!!

Small Business Saturday at Cats Haven! Come shop!! We have all kinds of fun things that are great for stocking stuffers! Catnip pillows and Gypsy Cat Jewelry as well as small blankets. Macrame items and more! We’re here til a little after 3 at 2603 N College! Proceeds go to the kitties.

If you’re wanting to support a local business on Small Business Saturday on November 30, stop by Cats Haven’s Small Business Saturday Sale from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at 2603 N College Avenue, Indy!! Wow have we ever got some fun things donated by local artists if you’re looking for that special gift for your two- and four-legged friends!!! Some are pictured here . . . We’ve got mugs and teapots, all kinds of cool handmade macrame hangings, many unique Avon products (including Avon jewelry), and of course we’ll have our Handmade Word-Famous Catnip Pillows for sale, too! And no shelter sale would be complete without Gypsy Cat jewelry. Gypsy Cat has many new earrings and other pieces that she’ll be bringing, so c’mon by and shop local!!!! Proceeds go toward the food and medical funds for the shelter kitties. Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you!!

Cats Haven will be closed this week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Thru the Holiday week; we will be closed Thurs the 28th and Friday the 29th.
Sat the 30th is Small Business Sat we open at 1pm and close at 3pm unless we are busy with shoppers. We would not want to rush your shopping experience.

A huge thank to Vincent McIlwain for making Cats Haven his senior project. He organized a supply drive and blessed the kitties with lots of goodies. He also got the yard cart donated that was on our Amazon Wish list,

This Sat, Nov 9th is our last "Cram the Van" for this year.

Stop by and say hi to our volunteers!
Most needed items:
Scooping cat litter, Blissful Belly dry cat food, canned cat food. Vinegar to delime water bowls and fountains, laundry supplies. Churros cat treats (put meds in) Potty pads, many of our wobblers are pad trained. Gift cards from any store.
Stamps, kitchen and large trash bags, paper towels, water and snacks for volunteers.

I have the totals from our yard sale on Sat.
We raised $588. in sales and $139 in donations.
