Kipper arrived at IACS on November 21, 2024 as stray found and caught with the help of Peaceful Souls Rescue & Recovery. This nervous and stressed dog has shown no aggression, but he’s struggling with kennel stress and anxiety. He has visible health issues, including thinning fur and symptoms of Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex (CIRDC), and severe stress at the shelter.
Kipper’s behavior in the shelter has become more defensive. He’s uncomfortable in his kennel, often growling or snapping, and doesn’t seek affection, though he can be leashed for walks. His stress levels are increasing, making it harder for staff to work with him. Due to his heightened anxiety, he is not a candidate for adoption or fostering directly from the shelter. Kipper needs a quieter environment where he can decompress and heal.
His situation is becoming more critical by the day. He can’t stay in the shelter much longer, and we are looking for an experienced rescue or foster home who can give him the calm, stable environment he needs to thrive.
