Good Afternoon!

I wanted to send out a quick update to egg and chick sales for this year.

For our 4H families we will offer discounted SOP chicks only.
Please contact us if you are a 4H family and interested in showing birds. Chicks hatched in early spring should be ready for fall shows.

Chicks will need to be reserved. I will set eggs to hatch once per week. Reserved chicks can be picked up on Sundays. On Mondays, I will post if I have any extra chicks available for sale.

Pricing will stay the same this year on Marans.
SOP Line Black Copper Marans: $10.00 each
Dark Egg Line Black Copper Marans: $15.00 each

Hatching eggs will be available in late spring/early summer.
SOP Line BCM: $60.00 per dozen
Dark Egg Line BCM: $100.00 per dozen

The two cockerels can go with 2 pullets each as trios.

The pullets range from egg layers to breeder quality. All are Black Copper Marans.

3 Bantam Cochin chicks, looks to be 2 Blue and 1 Black looking for a flock to grow up in. Currently being raised under 2 wonderfully attentive Broodies. The Blue chicks are 2 weeks old and the Black one 1 week old. These are from a Furness Cochin project and may be split for Wheaten. Dm for more info.

Gold Single comb Sebright hen looking for a new coop. About a year old. Doesn't get along with birds smaller than herself so I don't have a place for her with chicks in all my coops. DM for more info.

A quick talk about prizes!
We will have ribbons, plaques, and monetary prizes for Grand Champion, Reserve Champion, Junior Grand Champion, and Junior Reserve Champion.
All other placements will receive ribbons in recognition.

The Chicken Condo is complete!
After a few years of using rabbit cages for our micro chickens I decided I was ready for a lower maintenance, more compact, upgrade.
This is a 5 level 'condo' with timer lighting, an automatic watering set up (designed by me! Yay!), Side panels to keep bedding in, and easy to clean plastic partitions between the levels.

The top layer is currently housing Ily and Jacob.
Next level is now full of chicks, many of which are ready to move along to their forever home!
We then have a juvenile BBR Ohiki pair.
4th 'condo' houses Squeeker, Daya, and Little Mama. Our retired breeding serama trio.
Our bottom condo houses our 'hospital/broody' condo. Currently occupied by mini.

Update: This boy has found a new home :)

Blue bantam Cochin cockerel looking for a new coop. He's a first generation from a Furness project. This means he's split for wheaten. Also silver based as he's from a salmon x blue crossing. Irvington area.

Update for our 4H families.

We absolutely love supporting our 4H families. We are here to help beyond chick purchase and are happy to support our families in bird selection, preparing and grooming for shows, as well as any questions there may be.
We do have some updates for this program. We will no longer be offering discounts on our BCM Dark Egg Line chicks. While we strive to reach SOP in all of our flocks the main goal of this flock is egg color, and therefore not the best birds for our 4H families showing their birds.
