2022 Taj Mahal Chicks
So many babies being raised by my flock of broody mommas.
SOP Line: The Great Brood: Summer 2022
19 chicks and counting!
Babies!
Mia is being an awesome mom! Her first batch of babies are hatching and she is keeping them all tucked in and warm.
Snow White Chicks 2022
It is baby season!
We have some olive egger babies available right now if you are looking to add to your flock.
Pictured are two F2 olive eggers and 4 White Marans Chicks with their White Marans momma and daddy.
Chicken Condo!
The Chicken Condo is complete!
After a few years of using rabbit cages for our micro chickens I decided I was ready for a lower maintenance, more compact, upgrade.
This is a 5 level 'condo' with timer lighting, an automatic watering set up (designed by me! Yay!), Side panels to keep bedding in, and easy to clean plastic partitions between the levels.
The top layer is currently housing Ily and Jacob.
Next level is now full of chicks, many of which are ready to move along to their forever home!
We then have a juvenile BBR Ohiki pair.
4th 'condo' houses Squeeker, Daya, and Little Mama. Our retired breeding serama trio.
Our bottom condo houses our 'hospital/broody' condo. Currently occupied by mini.
If you would like more info, or links to the supplies I used for the build, feel free to ask below!
Available SOP chicks 4/26/2022
These SOP line Black Copper Marans chicks are ready for their new homes. They were all hatched out of darker eggs from our SOP Group. Please send a private message if you are interested in adding any of these cuties to your flock. :-)
BCM chicks on their way to their new flock.
These little ones went off to their new home earlier today. We still have 22 chicks left if you are interested in adding some Black Copper Marans to your flock.
Preferred pick up is at Lowe's in Beech Grove, I can meet tomorrow evening or Sunday.
4H Hopefuls
These little ones have flown the coop to their new 4H family. Grow big and strong little ones!
Dark egg line hatch 1/24
These little ones are popping out like mad!
Such little cuties for some awesome 4H kids. I'm probably as excited as they are!
* I don't encourage opening incubators during hatch. You can see these little ones were very wet, because I bumped the humidity too high overnight. We got it lowered to a healthy 75-80% for the chicks that are still hatching.
Christmas Day 2021
Split open pumpkins for Christmas had everyone very excited. Charming and his son Sebastian in our SOP group. 😍
Tuesday free Ranging
How is your flock doing? Out ladies are enjoying some outside time to munch on grass and my newly sprouted radishes. 🤦🏻♀️🐓
Reina showing off her new baby!
Such a good momma!
