Check out the progress! The office is done, the floors are installed in the training room, and the kennel is ready! We just have 1 major project left to do…the parking situation. We will be leveling the yard for drainage and bringing in a lot of rock so that we can accommodate group classes again! I know everyone is anxiously awaiting for socials and we are too! So close! Stay tuned!

Exciting News Everyone!

Introducing PDK9’s Dogtopia!!

I have been actively working on this
Project for the past 2 years and we are finally here! PDK9 will be moving to a New Location!

The new location will be just 1 mile down the road from our old location.

This will be home based dog training! Your trainer will live on site for all your furbaby’s needs! We will have fenced in potty areas, large play areas, confidence building equipment, and more! Trust me we thought of everything to build the best place to board & train your dog in Indiana!

In the meantime, we will be slowing down & limiting our services as we prepare to finish construction and relocate.

Reopening Date: June 10th, 2024

In living memory of my boy Teddy. The dog that was the beginning of my dog training career and taught me so much along the way. Today marks one year since I lost my boy, but he continues to teach me to this day. Losing him, much too soon, has led me on this journey to learn more about nutrition and how it is a cornerstone to your dogs health, longevity, and behavior. As I continue to learn I look forward to expanding into nutrition as a dominant role in dog training and making a positive change in behavior. I am so passionate for helping dogs and their owners achieve longer, healthier, and happier lives together. Join us Saturday, June 24th! Join us Saturday, June 24th for the Dog Nutrition Workshop presented by Jennifer Carter, a Certified Canine Nutritionist and Vice President of Operations at Volhard Dog Nutrition. Jennifer’s background is in animal science and she holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological science, 2 Masters degrees and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Science & Technology Studies at Virginia Tech. She is a certified Canine Nutritionist. Jennifer’s experience with her Yorkie’s environmental and food sensitivities led her on a journey of discovery that resulted in her becoming knowledgeable and focused on nutrition before working for the company. Since working for Volhard, Jennifer has had experience helping owners and their dogs overcome some serious health issues by altering their nutrition and daily diet. Jennifer has an engaging and energetic teaching style that makes it easy for anyone at any level to absorb the detailed info that she has to share about dog nutrition.

Say hello to Jolene & Theo! They are 8 month old possible lab/pit mixes and are just the sweetest pair. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Kansas and have been staying with us so we can get them started on the right paw!

They are the sweetest, most laid back pups I have ever met! They love to play fetch and tug, but would totally be content to snuggle with you on the couch!

These kids are crate trained, have excellent potty habits, good manners, and overall super eager to please!

Adoption fee: $300
Adoption includes: Training tools, updated vaccinations, lessons with a professional trainer, & group classes!

The race you have all been waiting for! PDK9’s very own Flirty Gertie vs. The Flying Bean battling it out in the International Association of Canine Professionals 2022 Dick Russell Paper Plate Championship Race! It was no easy battle! Gertie came into this race as the underdog. No one expected a race quite as intense as this! Spectators held their breath as the judges had to watch the replay for every race to determine the winner! Both competitors won one round by just a dog hair! The best 2 out of 3 would take the title, but the race was so close these adorable canines tied on the 3rd race and had to battle it out in a 4th round!! Never in a million years did I think I would make it this far! I was here to have fun and most importantly make sure my Gertie Girl had the time of her life! I am honored to have had the opportunity to race against the very fast, very talented Chihuahua, Kairi, an excellent representation of the breed.

We are having a blast learning and meeting amazing, talented trainers all over country at the International Association of Canine Professionals annual conference! I would like to give a special shout out to my girl Gertie!! We have been competing daily in the Dick Russel’s Paper Plate Recall Race this week and I am excited to share with everyone that miss Flirty Gertie has made it to the finals! Please enjoy this video of our latest race battling it out in the Final Four! It was a tight race, but Gertie pulled through! Tonight is the Finals! Please keep Gertie in your thoughts and send her lots of speedy good vibes! Stay Tuned!!!!
