Everyone meet Cactus! Cactus recently had her eye removed and she is healing up very nicely and definitely doesn’t let it slow her down one bit! She is SO SWEET and loves to give out loves! She did so good while the doctor looked at her eye and sat so good for her pictures! We are so excited to see Cactus again!🩷

Yikes! Don't watch if you don't like insects! Below is a video of a cuterebra being removed from the neck of a kitten. Cuterebra (bot fly larvae) can cause serious injury to outdoor animals and should always be removed by a veterinarian to ensure complete removal! These are very common in small stray kittens. Can any of you guess what we named the little bug?

Linus may have a hurt foot but that didn't stop him from showing us his touch down dance! How cute is he!!! ❤️

Welcome to Indianola Veterinary Clinic, LLC

The Indianola Veterinary Clinic (IVC) was founded in 1952 by Dr. Harvey Arand, who worked primarily with livestock. The clinic has transitioned over the past 55+ years into a full-service mixed practice treating dogs, cats, livestock, horses, and more.

We welcome walk-in customers for routine vaccinations and emergency care. All surgeries and large animal work are by appointment. Spays and neuters are offered, as well as in-house blood chemistry analysis, x-rays, gas anesthesia, and dental ultrasonic cleaning. Boarding is available by appointment.

We offer 24-hour emergency services for large & small animals. If you are needing emergency services, please call 515-961-6201 to be connected to our on-call veterinarian.
